Professional service and customer care... Thats how I sum up The Path. I am a mechanic at a bike shop in Michigan and this is the only bike shop I trust to touch my bike in Florida. I needed a tubular glued on last year (before I became a full time mechanic myself) and Gary, the owner, ordered the tire and glued it up within a week. I dont trust anyone to glue tubulars, and he got it on straight and secure. Also last year I had the misfortune of slightly bending a wheel in a careless spill. Mike, the main mechanic at the Path, got it true within 15 mintues. You just cannot expect better service than that! If you need a easy-going hybrid, a mountain bike, or a full on road bike for racing, they stock it all. Especially notable is the very nice Italian machines that they can get... Colnago, Ciöcc, Olmo, Casati, Merckx, Orbea, De Bernardi to name some. The real icing on the cake to fellow bike nerds is that they will gladly sit and talk with you about anything bike (or music!) related. When I am down here in Florida, I always try and stop a couple times a week and when I can, I try to make their group rides. Also very worthy of note, is that they give you honest opinions of products. They dont try to just sell you a certain product when you have questions. I simply enjoy just stopping by this shop. If you are in the area, swing by the Path and chat it up with Gary and Mike. They might even offer you a Cuban coffee. All around, I dont think you will be disappointed.

My husband and I both have bikes from here and stop in often. The people who own and work this place are great. So much to love about this shop. First of all, they have great bikes and they do really top notch work on bikes if you need a fix. They really take care to explain to you whats wrong and what needs to be handled. They are biking enthusiasts so they do weekly rides in groups. Being right off Pinellas Trail is a bonus. The shop itself is quite a bit of fun to go into and check out. The decor and set up is great. Plus the owner does these really killer shirts to promote his shop. I cant get enough of them! He opened a vinyl record shop inside too as he is really into records but doesnt like paying ridiculous rates for them. Now for the next thing, they just put in a coffee bar and it is delicious! The espresso tonic is really tasty. So you can find your bike, vinyls and get a cold brew all in one stop while chatting with some really awesome guys.

Beyond Amazing! This is one of those rare places you find that is impossible to replicate. I drive from The USF main campus for this shop (which is about an hour drive). When you walk in, it feels lively and like a home away from home. Bikes line the whole shop, in the form of completes and frames even a number of frame sets are offered. Really any bike style you need is sold here. The store owner and tech, both know an amazing amount about bikes. I was able to pick up a limited edition bike that no one else has locally at an amazing price. Not to mention the shop offers life time tune ups on all the bikes they sell. The paths swag game is on point, I was buying their custom shirts before I ever bought a bike from them, I cannot wait to get my hands on a jersey or two from them. Owner is super chill and will be straight shooting with you every time. If their is one place Id always give my money it would be this place.

I am a commuter, have been riding for about 30 years and had been struggling trying to find a non-carbon fiber bike that would be a decent ride and also would last, and then I spoke to Gary at the Path Bicycle Shop. He did not try to push Carbon Fiber or aluminum on me like the other shops. He showed me some of the new Chromoly city bikes he carried, we found one I liked, and set me up with a great ride. I rode it quite a bit this weekend and will say it rode better than all of the carbon fiber bikes I tested. Also there was a small glitch with the manufacturer on the order and Gary took care of it quickly and more than made sure everything was right with my bike before I left. They know bikes, give great customer service, and carry wide range of quality bikes, I would recommend them to anyone considering buying a new bike.

Highly recommended! My 25 year old Cannondale was stolen last Thursday. Spend a large part of Friday and Saturday in a number of bike shops in the Clearwater area. Went in the Path on Saturday met Gary, Mike & Bandit. Described what I was looking for to Gary and he showed me several bikes including the Kona Dew. These guys are super friendly and helpful! The place was very busy, (they sold 5 bikes in the time I was there), but they managed the balance of helping everyone out. After a test ride of the Kona I knew I had found my new bike. Note, I had tried about a dozen other bikes out in the other shops. Some were a little less money, some were significantly more, but for me the Kona was perfect and the customer service was exceptional. Good job Gary, Mike and Bandit!

I bought my first bike in about 15 years from this fabulous shop. Its obviously a serious place with serious bicycles, but I was never treated like the rank amatuer I am. I was fixed up with a Marin comfort bike which was adjusted for me and sent out on a test ride on the awesome Pinellas trail which is right outside the shop. After successfully not falling off, I fell in love with it. All my questions were answered and I wasnt given any kind of hard sell on the bike or any accessories. Oh and they give free tune-ups FOR LIFE. If you want a bike thats going to last longer than a year, even if youre not a capital C cyclist, get one here.

My husband and I went shopping for new mountain bikes a few weeks ago. Neither of us new exactly what we wanted and were hoping we would find a shop that could guide us in the right direction. The folks at Path were amazing! Really went out of their way to match us each with the best bike, and the best part is we spent LESS than we had budgeted - how often does that happen??? Weve been out to some local trails over the past few weekends on our bikes and we couldnt be happier. Our son will need a new bike soon and we know exactly where to go! Super cool shop too - it reminded me of some the funky bike shops I visited in Amsterdam!

Good information: I started commuting and bought a New Bike at Walmart. After 6 weeks it was falling apart. went to another shop in largo near the Pineallies trail and East Bay. For me not very friendly and charged a lot for a new tube and install. So Happy when I meet Gary and Mike. Fun shop, cool dog and lots of valuable information. they took care of me even though I had a tight budget and ask for some special help. You get FREE tune ups for the life of your new bike you purchase from them. If you want a quality bike with great service I could recommend no other. Life is Good:)
