Based on our recent experience with the Georgetown Park Mall location, I dont believe that this business is on the up and up. The following provides an overview of how they went about "unlocking" our iPhone. We called ahead to make sure they could unlock our phone. We gave them the exact specifications beforehand and they said they could do it. On Friday night at about 6 p.m, we took it in to have it unlocked. We worked with John and Ahmed. After an hour, they said they had successfully unlocked it, but that they were experiencing problems with the connection to the network. They had us wait another hour, but because they closed at 8 p.m., they asked us to come back Sunday after 3 p.m. We came earlier on Sunday because we were in the neighborhood and the person there said they would have someone call us back. No one ever called. After 3, we called, but couldnt reach anyone via the various numbers they have on their website--none of which reach the store directly. The numbers include 800 numbers, 703 numbers and 202 numbers. The 202 number on the business card didnt reach anyone either. In order to call the actual store, I had to call the Georgetown Park mall directory. For some reason, the guy who works in the store was hanging around the mall information desk when I called, so I talked to him on the directory desk phone. He said he would have someone call me back in 10 minutes with an update, but no one ever called. So then we went to the store and talked to the person there (Valerie). It took her several calls to figure out where the phone was. The manager/owner (Ahmed) said he would have it back by tomorrow at 11 a.m. She gave us his number and told us to call him at 10 a.m. to remind him. We called him in the morning. No answer. We called the main number - the operator put us on hold and never got back to us. We finally reached the owner, but he put us on hold and hung up on us. We called the operator and she said it would be ready in 2 hours. When we went to pick it up, we got it back - but STILL locked and without an (inactive) simcard. The guy simply handed it back to us like this - without an apology or an explanation. I had to ask if it was working - only then was I told that it isnt unlocked. Based on our experience, I would never, ever trust this place with personal information.

I had a terrible experience with this company. They advertise well, marketing unlocked Blackberry phones. I went there, and they sold me a Blackberry Bold for $300 which they told me was new. After less than a week, I could no longer switch it on. I took it back to them, and they said that the battery needed to be replaced. They replaced it for free, telling me that in fact this was a "refurbished" phone. In any case, the phone worked at that point for another day. Then it could no longer turn on again. I took it back again, and they tried to fix it but could not. Then they accused me of dropping the phone, and said they could not replace the phone nor refund me the money since I had dropped the phone! I have now lost $300. It is unbelievable. Dont use this store!

I dont like this place at all. I have a Verizon Wireless Desire (prepaid) phone that I bought and had switches over to pageplus. Thinking that they were the official pageplus website since they broadcasted page plus cellular, I paid $59.94 to have my phone activated with a new number. They told me it would take 1-24 hours.... I never received my PIN number. I still havent gotten the new number and the phone is still not on. I recommend that no go to this place, now I am on the phone with them and "Ruth" is giving me several reasons why I have to give it another hour when it has already been a full 27 hours. It usually only takes about 30minutes to and hour. Use the official pageplus cellular website if thats your cellular provider.

I would not recommend this business. I found them online and supposedly spoke via chat to "an online agent in our Arlington store". I specifically said I was coming in on Tuesday. I arrived on Tuesday (1 hour in traffic) to have my IPhone repaired while I waited to be informed that they do not have a technician on Tuesdays and could perform no repairs. When I explained my frustration and asked if I could speak with Sam (the online person), the staff did not know who I was talking about. No solutions were offered, did not get a good feeling at all!!

5 Star quality and price. They completed my iPhone repair while I was waiting and best of all they use all original parts and you can definately notice the difference when I went to a no-name shop last time and needed to have all the work re-done. If you want the best then I would just go to American Wireless and stay away from the small shops in town. Also prices are very reasonable, not the lowest but do you really want to take chances with your iPhone?

Terrible products. Inconsistent customer service. I purchased an iPhone charging cord from here ~4 months ago. It stopped working 2 months in. I took it back in and they happily exchanged it. The new one that they gave me stopped working again 2 months later and now they wont replace it...only offering to sell me a new one. Strange that this hasnt happened with any of the original iPhone charging cords I own. I would not recommend doing business here.

I spent 2 days programming and unlocking then went to 3 different stores to get my out of contract VZW Galaxy Nexus activated on Page Plus with no luck whatsoever. American Wireless not only did it in 3 hours, they charged the same rate those nameless mail in services do online. Their techs were very knowledgeable and helpful, and I will definitely think of them again if I ever have issues like this.

Came in to switch my expensive family plan from Verizon to Cricket and get phones flashed. Service was awesome! Manager, Caz Wilson is the BEST!! I was impressed by the rapport he has with all the customers. Im pleased with the new plan and Im saving nearly $150 per month also got to keep my phone numbers. I would recommend this store to family and friends.

This place is a nightmare!!!!! Overpromised and underdelivered. I would not recommend going here at all. I have actually NEVER been so disappointed by a store. F for service. F for customer relations. F for promptness. F for everything!

Had cracked the screen on my iPhone 4. Brought my phone in on Wednesday afternoon (25 Apr 12). They replaced the screen in less than an hour while I waited. Only cost me $84 & it works perfectly. What a life$aver!
