Im writing this review because of an incident that I saw happen in the store. Afterwards I went home and looked up store reviews and saw that all people had to say was how rude the staff is and that they rip people off. I can personally say that this isnt true! For one, the staff is very helpful and friendly. They always answer any question I have and even if they are unsure, the look up the answer for me. Once upon a child is my favorite place to buy my kids clothes! I have 3 kids and each one of them is extremely picky with their clothes. Every time we go to Once upon a child they have awesome clothes for all 3 of my Children. Very rarely do I find myself going to an actually store and paying full price for something that I couldnt find at Once Upon a Child. Not only are their prices cheap, they have a text club, email club, and discount card for more savings! I also sell to them at least once a year. I dont get anywhere near what I paid in store for the clothes and toys and I probably could get more money out of a yard sale but the hassle isnt worth it to me. They are SUPER picky but thats why they have such a great selection! The incident Im referring to was a customer not happy with what they were offered and getting very upset with the staff. A lot of the staff is young but they handled the situation better than this grown women. Being my nosey self, I glanced at what the woman brought in to see why she was so upset and I could see she brought her things in a ripped trash bag and nothing was folded. It looked like dirty laundry. No wonder they didnt take a ton and Im glad they didnt because I wouldnt want to buy anything like that for my kids! I understood why she was upset because sometimes I myself go there expecting more money than they offer and it can be frustrating but that was not a reason For her to act that way. The staff handled the situation very well and calmly explained to her why they didnt take more and that they dont choose the prices. I felt Bad for the workers. Like I said, they were mainly teenagers. Because of all that, I felt like I needed to write a nice review to tell the store what a great job they are doing!

HELLO MY FRIENDS... Ohhhh Saturday... Wow! I went in around 10:30 in the morning and it was BUSY...:) Sooo, I took in some clothes they were still ok with the professionalism. The girl took my clothes which I took in a tote and I signed a small form for my info. I was already going in there to look around so left that there and look around. NOW... They took two dress up outfits and cute ruffle skirt with a matching shirt and a jean skirt.Yeah they gave me a little bit of money back... I was expecting like 10-12$ because they took five items. I expected more but I did not argue I just took the money paid what I had gotten and was on my merry way. Its like this people, if they are ripping people of they will get what they deserve. You reap what you sow! There could come a time when some one will ripped them off...!! It happens... What you do to someone else will come back to you...:) really so let's not get all bend out of shape about it!! This is life, some people think they are getting away with doing certain things but they are not... They will pay for their actions one way or another...soooo my conclusion if you dont want to get a little bit of money back, then don't sell to them! Consign somewhere else where the people are FAIR... Honestly!! It's still a good place to find toys, baby equipment, clothes, coats, etc... If you don't like the crowded places and some very rude customers... PLEASE go during the week!! :) Wow some of these women have no type of morals...Really not worth me arguing with you over some clothes!!! Come on... Really!!! Wow!!! Well I have to say that was an experience... Lol... But as always, Happy Shopping!!! ;)

I have sold clothes to Once Upon A Child several times before. I have also sold a stroller, high chair, and crib. I went in today to sell clothes. I have always been pleased with my experience until today. Heres why: 1) The staff seemed nice, but put off that they had to help me. Very short. 2) As I waited to have my clothes evaluated, I looked around. The store is picked through. What they do have are hardly brand names (I like Walmart, too, but dont consider it a name brand and would never pay used what I could pay for it new.) and the condition of the clothing they are purchasing has really gone down! 3) I brought a large tub of EXPENSIVE name brand clothing in perfect condition. If I were selling them on eBay, I would have listed them as EUC. NO STAINS or rips. I EVEN WASHED AND FOLDED THEM BEFORE BRINGING THEM TO THE STORE. They were from Justice, Limited Too, Gap, Greendog, Ralph Lauren, Chaps, Aeropostale, Abercrombie, So, LEI, Arizona, Levi, and a few other brands. My daughter had also outgrown a pair of Bloch tap shoes that she wore ONCE for a recital. I even brought a barely used (retail value $100) coat from Lands End. They wanted over half my tub, but offered...$25!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know that they are used clothes, but it p*sses me off that I am offering them perfect condition clothing and getting offered $1 for something they will charge $8 for. NO, I will no longer recommend them to my friends or go back. Sell at your own risk!

The same as the rest of the reviews...rude staff. I brought several dresses in on hangers to keep them from getting wrinkled. As soon as i walked I was not greeted but insulted by a staff member that told me "next time bring everything in boxes ok??". I had 3 boxes in my car I was just taking extra care with the dresses. I also brought in a changing table that had all of the parts with it including the pad and safety strap. The other sales person was more focused on a small chip in the corner of the table. After standing around for several minutes looking at jammed packed racks of clothing I went to the front counter and was told they would give me $7.20 for the changing table. They would not take the clothes because they were a little old. My daughter is only 12 and some of the dresses were (like brand new) from Bonnie Jean and the Childrens Place....not Kmart. I walked out with all of the clothing and the only reason I took the money on the table was due to their location, I did not want to carry it across the Acme parking lot as I was by myself. I agree with the previous reviews avoid the insults and donate your used clothing to a good cause like "Goodwill" . The tax write off is a better deal.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME BUYING OR SELLING AT ONCE UPON A CHILD ON LIMESTONE ROAD! Staff is incredibly rude and have no idea of BRAND name clothing. The other poor rating are ACCURATE! Recently, I went in with a large bin of cleaned, barely used brand name clothes: GAP, Gymboree, Lands End, Hartstrings, Ralph Lauren, and L. Pulitzer! They purchased about four of the 30 items. They offered about $1.25 a piece! In the future, I will always donate my daughters beautiful clothes to friends rather than accept a dollar for a $50 item! One of the young girls actually said to me, "We are sorry, but Gymboree clothes do not sell very well." Also, they purchased a pair of "church" shoes from Sears that I brought to sell, but did NOT buy an adorable pair of boots I bought at Nordstroms last year! They SELL a lot of Kmart and Target items at ridiculous prices. Do yourself a favor and buy items directly from Target when they are on SALE! Further, the clothes on the racks at your local Goodwill are often in better condition than some of the ones sold in this Once Upon A Child. Hopefully the owners of this store read this postings from sellers and customers and re-think their business plan!
