It was a pretty good store, it had a lot of pet supplies. But it was lacking in the employee/costumer service area. I was standing in the fish department looking for an employee and there wasnt one. I went there for a 55 gallon metal fish tank stand, I was there with a friend. We finally found someone after 10 minutes we inquired about the price of a stand I was interested in, she came over said she needed to find a price checker she walked away, she then proceeded to the cash register and started to ring up costumers, we then stood there waiting for another 20 minutes till finally a male employee that looked very un-kept sloppily dressed he then scanned it and told us the price. In total we were in the store for almost an hour the better part of that was standing and waiting. Either they need to get more employees and or re-train them in proper costumer service relations.

I have been to the store and had good experiences shopping here. This is why I decided to call up their grooming salon to get my two miniature Cockapoos a haircut. The gentleman who answered the phone was not very friendly and proceeded to tell me my dogs were biters. This was a surprise to me as I have never seen my dogs bite me or any guests weve had over including small children. My male dog has such a small mouth he has trouble eating hard dog food. Not only that but out of the various groomers they have been to in their lifetime I have never received such a report. However, due to this, the gentleman seemed hesitant to groom them and told me if he could fit them in, it would not be for at least three weeks. I told him I would look elsewhere first. In my opinion, if someone is afraid of a small dog biting him, he should probably not be in the grooming business.

Bought a hamster that I noticed had a malocclusion (misaligned, broken teeth) because I knew they had not been feeding her the proper mashed food she needs. When I mentioned it to the worker, she was very friendly and admitted that the store really didnt have the small animals best interest in mind. The manager then approached and informed me that the hamster was perfectly fine, and this was a normal thing that happened often. I let him know that this is not at all true, and it doesnt take a genius to realize when there is something off about an animal. Later found out that this hamster has hydrocephalus, a cranial deformity due to improper breeding methods. So much for perfectly fine, Im just glad we saved this girl before it was too late. Do not shop here, end of story.

I called to make an appointment for a grooming. I have never brought a dog to a groomer. The guy answering the phone gave me the impression I was taking time out of his day with my questions etc. He asked me if the dog had all his shots and I said yes and nothing more was said. After killing a Sunday to have this done in the afternoon, I get there only to be told that the rabies papers were needed for the appointment. I understand the need for this, but why wasnt I told papers were required after being asked if he had all his shots. Obviously, the staff is hit or miss with knowlege of store policies and I have no confidence in them now when it comes to pet care. Ill never go there for grooming, or any other services and wont be going to shop there any more.

So disappointed in the grooming experience here. Dropped off our dog at 9:30 am and went back to check on her 3.5 hours later and they had only washed her thus far because there was only one person working that day and they were far behind. I am not blaming the groomer. Maybe a reschedule or a heads up that That would be the situation if we kept our appt that day would have been great.

The service was poor. I asked for help to purchase fish. I heard overhead announcement, but no one came. I look around three employees chatting away up against the wall. A separate employee actually at register working. People in Enfield Petco are much nicer. Plus, better selection of saltwater fish.

Never in my life have I or my family been treated so poorly. Cassandra needs to be down right fired. Rude, uncaring, no work ethic. Rude rude rude cant say it enough. Never again will I spend money in the Windsor petco. May seem pety but like I said, never ever been treated poorly like that before
