In general Stop & Shops prices and sales are good compared to other stores in the area. Produce, Deli, and Meat departments are okay. Not a huge variety, but havent found anything rotten or spoiled. The pharmacy staff is very pleasant, Ive never had to wait long for a prescription to be filled, and the prescription club saves me a lot of money since I dont have insurance. Ive had a few issues with signage on sale items and sale items that are not available or employees not knowing exactly which item it is that is on sale. The young kids that they hire to bag groceries have obviously never been trained. They through cleaning products in with food and some of the bags end up so heavy that either the bag rips or I cant lift it out of the cart to put it in my car. But worst of all is the fact that, every time (except during the winter) I go in and want to get something out of the bakery cases, I see 2 or 3 FLIES flying around having a good ole time landing on every doughnut, muffin, and bagel in the case. Makes me sick to see that and there is no way I will ever purchase any fresh baked goods from this Stop & Shop, which is a shame because their stuff is usually excellent. There must be a way to keep them out of there since Ive never seen that in any other store.

I love the deals that Stop and Shop has compared to the other grocery stores in the area. But the staff could be a little nicer. My boyfriend and I share an apartment and when using the self checkout we asked for some help. My boyfriend asked the woman if it was possible to use two forms of payment (so we could split the bill) and she had this disgusted look on her face like we were poor or broke. (Even if i was its none of your business.) Then she gave us the worst attitude saying "if you want to do that go to a register. you cant do that here". It was just a question. Also, I had gone to the back to take advantage of their sea scallop sale. The man in the back had already started cleaning up the seafood counter (and he said they werent closing it for another hour) and gave me an attitude about having to go get what I wanted to buy. I got home and found out when i poured them into the frying pan that they were the smaller scallops. I didnt even get the right product for $15. The staff could definitely use a customer service course. There is one gentlemen behind the seafood counter who is always cheerful and accommodating. I try to only buy anything back there when he is there now.

This store is usually a good supermarket. Prices are average for Stop & Shop, and the gas points are great. The store is big and clean, everything is easy to find, selection is good, and the self checkouts are a lot better than going to a person. Everything seems fresh (not passed date), except for produce, which isnt always that impressive. Some of the staff are friendly but others are rude and unhelpful. The only other problems are the bottle returns, which are dirty, and always fail. Overall, a fine place to get food, but watch out for rude staff and avoid the bottle returns.

I made a special order deli sandwich with salads for Christmas Eve. My guests were delighted because the food was delicious It was prepared exactly as ordered. The store associates we dealt with were extremely helpful and friendly. I will definitely use this service in the future. Excellent food & excellent service.

Have really seen a big change in the last few months,better customer service and product availability. They also have a new deli manager and grocery manager very nice and knowledgeable. Thank you stop and shop,good job.

Need more cashiers and people to bag groceries. It is tiring to stand on long lines and then bag your own purchases. Also the store needs to be cleaned better...loads of garbage around entrance.

The new customer service center in the middle of store makes it too cramped in there now, impossible to push a cart through.
