Priced between Aldi and Stop & Shop, some items are an excellent value, others average and usually has well priced hard to find items. This store has easy accessibility clean bathrooms near the front doors, comfortable AC or heat, and is usually kept clean and tidy, although basic and not showy. Employees are usually pleasant and not standing in the way all the time. Customers are a mix of people but usually polite and non-scary. Torrington PriceRite is a great resource for fresh, frozen and shelf stable Latin, Caribbean, Afro-Caribbean, Italian and some Central/Eastern European items. The meat section has a fair amount of variety meats, such as beef kidney, oxtails and chicken feet, as well as competitively priced Australian grass fed beef and lamb (many cuts $6-8 a lb.) Halal hot dogs and fresh chicken is available in several varieties of cuts. The freezer section of fish adjacent to meat has many affordable varieties of whole and cut fish and shellfish, our favorite choice being large whole sardines at $3.50lb that are perfect grillers and for raw fed pet diets. The bakery section has well priced items including 1/4 sheet filled cakes for under $13 that taste like they are made from scratch, $2 dozen prepacked medium sized glazed donuts and premade Cannoli shells and filling. Checkout can be a bit slow, so allow yourself extra time, just in case, and dont forget to bring your shopping bags and a quarter for a cart.

Decent cut rate grocery store, Shop rite cast offs and overstock. I rarely buy meat there, except boneless chicken which is always $1.99 a pound or less. Fruits and veggies dont last as long as other stores so you take your chances on them, and they definitley arent first quality. Basic needs foods are good prices, but they dont take coupons. Their Adams pizza is huge and is only $6 and its pretty darn good. Constant staff turnover so someone is always learning the register but its a minimum wage job with not the best supervisors so thats going to happen.

Price Rite is a good place to shop if you dont have the money to shop at places like Stop and Shop. Though they may not have everything you need, they have almost everything and their cashiers are usually quite friendly. The one thing I wouldnt count on buying there is certain kinds of fruit. Usually their strawberries and oranges have reached their exp date.

Great selection and very reasonable prices. Downside is you should bring bags. Theres a charge that encourages to bring your own. Youre not really borrowing if you arent then go for the boxes and allow that if someone else had packed it that you should again. Works out most every time in season! Ill check in but.......

Found everything I wanted. Good prices. Works with the Ibotta app so I save even more money. While I was there today at the checkout I needed something and one of the ladies who works there was kind enough to get it for me so I didnt have to leave the line. Friendly with great customer service.

Price Rite has good quality grocerys for the price you pay. However the service was very poor at the checkout because the cashier was dropping grocerys into my cart...even throwing one item before I asked her politely to stop.

The produce quality was poor, prices were higher than I expected. Similar to Aldis you have to bag your own groceries which wouldnt be a problem if it didnt have similar prices to larger chain grocery stores.
