In the past I have come into this store and everyone is so friendly, nice and helpful until I get to the register, where there is one person I dread seeing every time. Normally I just avoid her line because shes usually slow ringing out, but today I decided to give her another chance. The nice woman ahead of me told me I may want to go to another line, when I asked why, she nodded her head at me as the cashier was complaining about having a long line. I started to leave the line, but noticed that all others were very long, but no one was behind me, which seemed off. Three people in her line and no one else would go to her, even though there were probably double that in other lines. I stayed and waited. As I was waiting there, she stopped scanning the womans mothers items to ask where her dividers were to another cashier and when she found them, she gave the other cashier a dirty look and mumbled under her breath as she turned around. When she was finished with the woman ahead of me, she started ringing my items up. She didnt say "Hi", "How are you?", "Do you have a Stop & Shop Card?", nothing. I had the card on my phone, which I said three times, and she just kept ignoring me. One time she even looked right at me then kept going! I bagged some of my things, but she wasnt even attempting to bag any of it, (I only ended up having 4 normal grocery bags) and was tossing the glass jars I had to the side rather than setting them down. When it came time for me to pay, I turned my phone to her and said, "I have a card" then she rolled her eyes, scanned it, and said, "Its not going to change anything...." I have a card with a chip on it, (which she was also complaining about to the woman that was in front of me) I continue paying. She sighed and said, "What does it say?!" I told her it says its processing, then my receipt printed. She handed it to me then, we bagged the rest of my stuff and she says, "Did you give me the toilet paper?" (The first thing she scanned in, I had it up on the belt) I said, "Yes you scanned it.", grabbed my groceries and told her to have a nice night as I left the store. Overall my experiences at this store are wonderful, but this cashier (Joyce) really needs to stop being rude. I would be fine with her moving slowly if she wasnt so rude! Made my mood go straight down, and was rather irritating.

Prices are decent. Clean as you would expect. My main complaint about this location is stock rotation and leaving expired food on the shelves. Just last night I was in the frozen fish section and looking for Moreys brand Tuscan medley cod. Well I found it, but curiously all the expiration dates had been rubbed off. I went through the entire case, about 30 packages and all had the date smeared or rubbed off. Holding it on an angle to the light I could see the impression left where the date had been and could see that they all expired in August, its December 30th! How does it come to be that the only product in the case with dates rubbed off are expired? All the other types and favors had full legible dates stamped on them. This is an unsavory practice, done by greedy dept managers. Instead of discarding or returning the product, they try to pas it off on the unsuspecting customers. About a year ago I got sick to my stomach after eating a Bertoli frozen meal, when I looked at the expiration on the package in my garbage I came to find it was over 18 months expired. I had 3 more in my freezer all had to be brought back as they too were 18 months beyond expiration. I have seen mayo 2 years old on the shelf here at this store as well. Its troubling that nobody seems to rotate the stock or pull the expired items. Especially in frozen fish where they break food safety rules and regs and rub off dates. They should be fined for this.

Now I get why they put in so many self check outs. The cashiers at this store need customer service training. The other day I was on line with a cashier named Joyce. I loaded my groceries on the belt in the order I had planned to bag them. She decided to rearrange it in the order she felt like ringing it up. So, I let her bag it. She got pissed and started throwing my items after ringing them up. She also argued with me about how many of a certain item I had. I was purchasing 4 of the same item, and she insisted I had 2 different types. Idiot wouldnt accept the fact that she was looking at the back of 2 of them. She also gave me a hard time about scanning my card. I also had an issue with a cashier a while back named Maria. But, thats a story for another time. Im done!

Okay, first thing, when you ask for help to find an item they are always too busy to help. They dont even try to attempt to help. Second, you would think the employees would know where the bathroom is. Their answer was "Im not sure where they are." Lastly, the cashier Rachel was horrible. She was so eager to go home she had her purse ready and on while she checked us out. She didnt ask for the store card and was going to let us walk out ans pay over 20$ dollars worth of savings. She didnt really care, to be honest. Didnt bother to help bag and as soon as she was done ringing up the transaction she walked out and left the line pending until someone came to take over her resgister. This store needs some assistance in customer service 101.

Being new to the area I was looking for a large one stop grocery store that was most similar to Wegmans in the Buffalo, NY area. I was surprised how similar Stop & Shop is to my favorite grocery store Wegmans. They offer a wide variety of fresh produce, fish, meats, poultry as well as the fact that you can pick up the little things that save you a trip to a different store such as gardening items, office supplies, etc. The cashier was very friendly and professional and got me through the line in a flash! Great store..I will be back

I presented coupons that earned me an additional 500 gas rewards. After receiving my receipt I noticed no gas rewards were listed. Had to waste time at customer service while they went back to cashier to retrieve the coupons. A big hassle. This is not the first incident at this store. At a previous visit I presented my card, but a different number was recorded. Very shady. Will not shop here again
