I went for a dress fitting with my mother and 2 bridesmaids. Mary Ann did such a great job finding me a dress that suited me. I found a dress that I really like. The down side...she couldnt tell me who made the dress. She didnt order them so she didnt know the name of the designer.!?! My bridesmaids tried on several dresses, the fitting rooms are much smaller for them. The prices were all very reasonable. my dress $1100, the girls dresses, $160. I had to go to another store to try on my Sottero & Midgley dress and I fell in love with iot, but the other store was soo rude to me. I came back to Marie Antoinettes and ordered my dress for much cheaper than the other store! (I found out that price gouging will make the designer stop using you as a retailer!) When my dress showed up it was perfect, the alterations were only $90 for the hem and to add some cleavage cups. My advice to you, if you want an alteration done, be stern and tell them to do it. I asked them to shorten the boning in the corset because it looked like it was bunching at my waist. the second fitting it didnt seem to be bunching anymore. (they talked me out of shortening the boning) Then during my wedding, the dress moved a little at the reception and it was all bunched up in the back. I should have put my foot down and told them to do it. The place was very nice, always helpful and my dress was perfect.

After going to numerous bridal shops in Connecticut and New York (including the famous one in Manhattan), we stopped at Marie Antionettes. I found them extremely knowledgeable and we ended up buying the same dress my daughter tried on at the Manhattan store. The seamstress even added the extra bling we bought a a NY trim shop and it turned out to be a "wow" dress. During my daughters last fitting, they were holding a "mother of the bride" trunk show featuring Rina Di Montella. We looked around and I found a couple of dresses that I tried on and it fit perfectly with only the hem needing to be altered. I was beside myself because I loved the dress, the prices was right but I thought they could never get this done in a couple of days. They ordered, altered and I had the dress by the end of the week (2 days before the wedding). The owner had previously showed me a dress in the catalog that I loved but it was too pricey so I purchased a different dress somewhere else that I wasnt thrilled about. I cant say enough nice things about this place. We ordered the Tuxs from here as well and everything was great. Im just glad its over.

I was in the area yesterday 8/9 and stopped in and asked, "im getting married in May, do you carry bridal dresses?" I was asked to hold on while another customer was being helped. When that customer was all done, I was asked to come back another day because, one girl was new, and the other one was 9 months pregnant. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, I was shocked, I walked out, how can they even stay in business? They didn’t even answer my question! Why would I come back another day if they didn’t even have dresses? What if I wanted to make an appointment, what if I wanted to buy accessories? They just asked me to come back another day. They lost my business forever.

I was married on July 12, 2014. I went to Marie Antoinettes to try on some dresses/gowns. I found a few and was going to come back when I had more time. Teresa called me the following day and said "I found your dress". I went back and she "FOUND MY DRESS"! I could not believe it! Based on my description and what I tried, she knew exactly what I wanted and found it. She did the same for a sash, crystals for sash and shoe colors. Honestly, there are not enough words to describe how fabulous and detail oriented all of the staff are here. My alterations were perfect and the tea length dress was exactly what I envisioned. Fabulous work!! Fabulous!!

I have to agree with some of the other reviews, the store is very dirty, dark and dingy. The furniture is old and dirty. The store is very cluttered and the racks are overloaded and hard to look through. Staff is not very friendly and their hours are not convenient at all. This is supposed to be fun and someone selling you dressed should be upbeat and energetic. The atmosphere is very flat. Dont even get me started about the suicide parking spaces, nothing like getting out of your car dodging 50 mph traffic. Very poor experience overall.

I went here to get my prom tux, I made an appointment, the ladies there were very helpful matching my tux to my dates. They got me and my freind who I brought along exactly what we were looking for. The service and their inventory was really awesome. If a guy is looking for a tux this is a place to definitely try out. The prices to rent was a lot better than others I tried before.

A cute, fun, personable bridal salon. The best Ive been to in CT! I mainly worked with Denise & Jen who were fabulous! They shared ideas, opinions, thoughts in an open-minded & respectful way. They took their time & never made me feel rushed! I bought my wedding dress here and I have confidence the rest of the bridal party will be in great hands!! :-)

Beautiful wedding dresses but customer service wasnt great. Owner was not welcoming, the associate made me wait 15 mins after my appt time (I was the only customer in the store). There is no safe parking, rooms werent vacuumed, all in all not the best experience. Customer service goes a long way when wedding dress shopping.

This is by far the worst dress shop in the world they are racist very unprofessional and make only the whites feel welcome I would never in a million year recommend anyone to go here ever a scam artist business that needs to be shut down immediately
