I don’t suffer fools or shenanigans when purchasing a car. I arrive at the dealership with the VIN number of the exact vehicle I want, clean credit and little time to waste. In this case, I was interested in purchasing a new Kia Sportage at Medved Kia. Coming out of a BMW, I was used to great service and wasn’t sure what to expect from my first experience with Kia. My initial sales associate, Patrick Culbreth, was a pleasure to work with. I felt zero sales pressure and had all of my questions answered during my test drive. When it came time to sit down and talk numbers, it took all of three minutes to negotiate the final price. I’m don’t enjoy haggling, and luckily, I didn’t have to because I dealt directly with the sales manager, Saife Abusway, who offered me a very fair price. The finance department was also straightforward and quick and spared me the long pitch for the extended warranty and gap insurance. Medved was kind enough to pre-order some Sportage accessories I wanted before I had even taken a test drive. When I arrived the following day to pick up my car with the accessories installed, there was a very minor issue with the vehicle. I decided not to keep the car, and figured I would have to drive all over Colorado to find another Sportage with the same color and options. With a smile on his face, the sales manager, Saife, offered to find me a replacement vehicle despite the obvious loss of profit in selling me a car that would have to be transferred from another dealership. He eased my guilt of being such a picky customer and was nothing but accommodating and good humored. Days later, Saife had me in a replacement car from another dealership with all of my accessories installed to boot. He even had complimentary paint protection film installed on the front bumper for protection during transport! I can honestly recommend Medved Kia with absolutely zero reservations. Saife and his staff took exceptional care of me, and Ill return to Medved for my next Kia purchase despite it not being my local Kia dealership. I honestly can’t recommend them enough. Professionalism and competency abounds at this dealership.

OUR EXPERIENCE WAS HORRIBLE. MY NAME IS ANTHONY AND WIFE IS RENAY. WE WAS IN MIDDLE OF BUYING A 20015 JEEP COMPASS FROM MEDVED AUTOPLEX. WE HAVE BEEN JUMPING THROUGH HOOPS SINCE SATURDAY 6/11/16. ALL PAPER WORK WAS ALL READY SIGNED AND WE HAD JUST CAME BACK FROM PUTTING JEEP OUR INSURANCE POLICY AND WENT BACK JUST TO GET OUR TEMP TAG AND GO HOME FOR THE NIGHT. THE SALEMAN ADVISED US THAT NOW THEY NEED $1000.00 BY 6/20/16, WHICH IN THE ORIGINAL CONTRACT SIGNED 6/11/16, IT STATES $500.00 DOWN THEN $1000.00 IN 30 DAYS AND WITH FIRST PAYMENT DUE 45 DAYS AFTER DOWN PAYMENT. A MANAGER THERE WITH A FIRST NAME OF TRANG WAS WORKING LAST NIGHT 6/14/16, STATED WE NEED THIS MONEY OR WE CANT TAKE JEEP HOME. WE ADVISED THIS IS NOT WHAT WAS AGREED ON IN ORIGINAL CONTRACT THAT WAS ALREADY SIGNED ON 6/11/16. THIS IS A DIRECT QUOTE FROM MR. TRANG " WE DONT WANT YOUR BUSINESS AND I DONT CARE IF YOU WALK OR TAKE BUS HOME SINCE YOU DONT HAVE NO MONEY TO PUT DOWN. YOU NOT TAKING JEEP" I ADVISED THIS WAS A BREECH OF CONTRACT. HE PROCEED ON BY STATING "WELL CALL THE POLICE, WELL THE POLICE" AT TOP OF HIS LUNGS. WHILE WAITING FOR POLICE TO SHOW UP. MR TRANG INSTRUCTED HIS STAFF TO BLOCK THE JEEP IN AND THEN THE STAFF PROCESSED TO SURROUND US AND JUST STARE AT US WITH FOWL LOOKS. THE POLICE SHOWED UP AND WE EXPLAINED WHAT HAPPENED AND WE DID GIVE THE KEYS BACK TO THEM AND WE HAD TO RIDE IN BACK OF POLICE CAR LIKE A CRIMINAL FOR A RIDE BACK TO OUR OTHER VEHICLE. ON TOP OF ALL OF THIS THEY ALSO LOST MY WIFES DRIVERS LICENSE AS WELL. WE ARE OUT $99.00 ( $70.00 INSURANCE, $2.00 FOR CHECK WE BOUGHT FROM BANK, AND $25.00 FOR NEW LICENSE FEE) OUR CREDIT TOOK AN 8 POINT HIT EACH. PLUS THEY KEPT MY CHECKS AND ADVISED THEY WOULD MAIL BACK TO ME. DO NOT GO TO MEDVED I-70 FRONTAGE ROAD, IT WAS THE MOST DEGRADING AND HUMILIATING EXPERIENCE EVER. THE BBB HAD BEEN NOTIFIED AND ALSO ALL MEDIA OUTLETS AS WELL.

BUYER BEWARE! Try to work out your deal over email correspondence as much as possible. You will have documentation on quotes because third party quotes are most likely not honored. This saves the time especially if they pull "the person you are looking for is currently busy" routine and you get passed off to the next grunt. Even if they give you a price in a documented email, they will say, the actual price is "XXXXX.XX." Never again and taking this matter to appropriate resolution. Lest we forget that the F&I manager is another salesman. He will make little snide comments when you turn him down. Never buy any add-ons at a dealership. The mark ups are insane and you will pay interest on them over the term of the loan if you finance. He will try the "youre an idiot" demonstrative behavior with cute little phrases like, "wow" or "unbelievable" or any myriad of condescending tones. PS...Medved, nice try to gas me on an extended warranty for $2700.00. I got the same exact coverage, options and benefits for $875.00, same provider. He tried to say he only marked it up $200.00. Come on man.

Ive always been told cars salesman were sleezy and out to take your money... This is not the case with medved Kia. Amelia was my saleswoman and she made it a very pleasant and fun experience. I told her what I was looking for and had a few cars already out for me to see. She knew I was looking for a hatchback but also needed practicality. I did not get a hatchback but I did leave in a car that Im just as happy with. She gave me several options and helped me make a choice based on my needs within a price range I could manage. I was never at anytime pressured to do anything I did not want to do. I left very satisfied and will be back in the future to do business with Amelia. If you want the best service you can receive ask for her by name and tell I sent you. She will take care of your needs and ensure you leave in a car you can love. Even the sales staff are respectful and go out of their way to greet you and thank you for your time and business. This was an amazing experience and I feel so respected.

Way overpriced and not worth it! 1 year later, Im having mechanical problems. I told them about this sound when it was in the bumper to bumper warranty and they kept saying my car was fine. Now look where we are...Im out of warranty and having problems. Its like they waited until I had to pay out of pocket to address the real issue. They may or may not have realized there was a problem, but bottom line is that I knew there was a problem and they didnt listen to me. I will change this review depending on how they handle this situation. My word of advice is this: you will be paying over Book Value for your vehicle here. If you are ok with that, just make sure to purchase the extended warranty. One good aspect of the service center is that they are very friendly and courteous. They may not have listened to me about the noise, but to their credit the guys up front have never been rude.
