I never write reviews however, after my experience with this esablishment (if you can even qualify it as one) I couldnt help myself. From the moment I arrived the sales hats were on, now believe me I get it these people have to make money some way right? Wrong! There targeted for individuals with not so great credit and/or low income again I understand if youve got bad credit or little money your options are limited. That doesnt mean you deserve to be ripped off, lied to, rushed or pressured into a sale or just plain disrespected. Off hand I felt rushed after every vehicle I expressed an intrest in the male employee assisting us would state great lets get the paper work started! They then proceeded to high ball by at least a thousand over value if not much much more. Many interior issues as well little things that could have been fixed or spruced up inexpensively. The lack of effort to even attempt to cover up there poor mantaince was honestly a joke. As we proceeded I was shown an suv 05 decent miles but very worn down dents and scratches to the paint and the inside was well worn. Dont get me wrong I was looking at used cars I get it there not perfect and there worn but the rearview mirror was busted off, the change oil light was reading 0% and the brakes were shot not to mention the rotors were heavily rusted. When asking if I could test drive it I was told I only had 5 min. Likely because you cant get the engine warmed up in 5 min or take it out on the highway what are you suppose to find out in 5 minutes of driving? To add to it they also expressed that if I wanted a mechanic to check out the car that they had to come down to the lot. Which come on we all know most places arent gonna do that, luckily I know mechanics personally who would have come down if I was dumb enough to waste anymore of my time. I took a look at the Kelly blue book value of the car in "good" condition and it was 1500.00 less than there asking price again in "good" condition. When offering to buy the vehicle at its Kelly blue book value the gentleman proceeded to talk with another employee about another customer, a single mom with a young kid test driving a mini van and how she was gonna be an easy hook but that I was gonna be the tough one again... right in front of me. At that I walked out it was not only a waste of my time but sad to see how low people will go to make a buck! Ultimately I hope this review can help others avoid this place and others like it. Stay away from McManus Motors!!! Its a SCAM and a PATHETIC excuse for a business. P.S. its illegal to check someones credit without there written approval... Just saying

I just got back from the car lot of hell! I found a car I liked, I called them. I spoke to John... he seemed ok until I mentioned I wanted to have my mechanic look it over. I went down to the lot and stood out there for 20 + minutes when finally another guy came out. I mentioned that I didnt know that they were in that trailer (since the little hut looks to be more appropriate and inviting and his response to me was very rude, "well now you know!" He asked me if I was Alvina and I said yes, he then told me that John said I would need a bigger down payment. What a joke! The car was $2500, my down payment was $1000. I commented on that as well. He said, "I know what the car is priced at, you dont have to tell me". I called him out and asked why be so mean - he then told me to leave the lot, go some where else and have a great day." This is more like a junk yard - they have cars that are broken down and flat tires. The car I was interested in had a cracked windshield, smelled inside and broken pieces on the driver side of the seat. It looked awesome in the picture, but I was really disappointed when I saw it on the lot. If they want to move their inventory, then they need to become friendly, professional and not treat people with such disrespect. This has nothing to do with good or bad credit, but professionalism.

I emailed for info on a 2002 Kia Spectra used car I saw on their Internet Inventory. I received this reply: "This car runs just a kitten only except its sold, we do have another Hyundai accent for $2500 will this work auto fwd? fresh trade." I replied that I needed info about the Hyundai-year, mileage, trim-base model?, color, etc. and asked that he reply & give me some info on the Hyundai he was trying to move me into, since he didnt even tell me the year! Here is the reply:"Go fish.,," "What does that mean? Im seriously looking for a car to buy", I wrote back. THEN, to make it even worse, if thats possible, he writes this back to me:,"Sorry I can’t I help you. I don’t know much about the car it’s probably not in your best interest" This came from Trevor, who is supposed to be the owner!! Trying to move me into a car hes told me NOTHING about, then after I point out his rude reply, tells me he doesnt know much about the car to tell me. STAY AWAY!!! RUDE!! DO NOT EVEN KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT A CAR THEY WANT TO SELL YOU!! SAVE YOURSELF & YOUR MONEY!! If they write a reply to contest this review, ignore them. Believe me. This is exactly what Trevor wrote to me. Direct copy & paste!!

Wanted to get into a car, told them how much I had to put down, told me that would work. I knew the car was over priced, so I told them I would only pay XXXXX for it. They said okay. But then they said my credit was TOO bad and the APR would be 21% on a 6500 car and told me that would be 360 a month for 3 years. Then told me I had to put more down. I drive a brand new car, and have a paid off daily, I was only there because I liked the car on the internet. Ive never paid more than 8% on a car. So Im not paying 21% after putting 1500 down, and 360 for 3 years, thats more like 110% APR. I walked out, and I was pissed because I really wanted the car. I couldnt take it, the interior was junk I was going to have to replace everything, which was cool, if I would have gotten a fair price. They werent too pushy, mostly because I knew more about the cars than they did. They werent fair at all, I walked out and went to Volkswagen and got a 2012 GLI. I would stay away just because of these reviews and they try to cheat you for money.

Wish I had read the reviews!!! We went in on a sat. and was told $7,100 would buy a particular vehicle, that was the financing price. But we needed to come up with an additional $500 down on top of the $1,000 we put down. So we did and came back on Mon. Now it was a different ball game. Now we needed to finance a different way and now the price went up $3,000. They delivered vehicle on empty, it needed a windshield wiper his fly by night mechanic put a junk used one back on that scratched the crap out of the new windshield, and LIED about our license plates. Said the $500 would cover tax, tittle, and license PLATE, not a temp tag. Well needless to say we had to pay MORE money for our plates. Trevor is a SCAM salesman in my opinion, his word means nothing and I hope someday his kids run across a salesman like HIM!! and I hope they get taken advantage of just like their dad did to all of us victims. better business bureau should be my next call!!!
