The owner, Jim Hassig ,who is always in the store, is rude, condescending, unprofessional and just a plain jerk. I usually avoid him at all costs due to previous interactions thinking he was just an ungrateful employee who lacked basic customer service skills. Today I found out he was the OWNER! He had incorrectly priced potting soil, advertised on his FRONT WINDOW with the bags below the sign and refused to honor the price. He lost a good customer today, and by his attitude, could care less. Jim Hassig, I believe in supporting local business but will never step foot in your store again. You can remove me from your mailings and rewards program. Youll never see another dime from me.

Seems some folks have had issues with employees and the owner. I do not count myself among them, and find it odd to think of the issues presenting themselves. Well-stocked store with plenty of opportunities to "self-help", with easy signage, proper pricing, and clean everywhere. Some products are a bit pricier than elsewhere, but I have family right down the street and the overall convenience of the location is perfect. Every staff member I have ever had an interaction with is smiling, polite to a fault, helpful, and genuinely interactive. Great staff makes a great experience. Probably the best Ace is town, best hardware store on the west side of town to be sure.

I went to this particular ACE to find something that did not exist. It would take time and putting some things together that did not come in a package, and would take some inventiveness to create. After 20 minutes of digging in small parts bins, the ACE guy had me walking out the door with just the parts my project needed. Same experience I have had with ACE all over the United States, glad to have it again. And I did not need a nap after walking miles and talking to 5 different department guys like Home Depot. The ACE guy made me feel pretty good about my visit. Total expendature? $9.16. Happiness working on my project tonight? Priceless!

I always have an easy time finding things there. Everyone is always so nice and accommodating there. The cashiers are always helpful as well. Especially when you get the dark haired college student she makes you feel welcome there as well as always being nice and helpful because lately when I come through the door shes working and points me right where I need to go everyone is just great especially the owner Jim great prices I give this place 5 stars.

Was there 7/11 at about 4pm. First and last visit. I stood in a short line for 15 minutes with my dog waiting in the car in the heat. Finally I got to the counter and the lady was multitasking while doing the transaction. After paying, I stood there for 30 seconds waiting for change and receipt and finally walked out without receiving my change. The experience was very anxiety inducing and I was just buying 1 small item. Not going back again.

I love this Ace Hardware. I dont live out this way but have family that does so Ive stopped here when I needed to pick up some things to help out my dad. The folks that work here are very knowledgeable and helped me find parts for a bunch of broken sprinkler equipment. Much better than going to one of the chain superstores where the people there dont really care.

Needed a part for my bathtub faucet, and if any of you have been to Home Depot for parts know they usually dont have what you need. Jim at Ace helped me out, when we couldnt find the part in then normal rack in store he went to the back pulled out another box and found the part..Awesome service, thanks Jim!!

This is one of those Ace Hardwares that somehow manages to feel like a genuine small business rather than a franchise of a big chain. Everyone is very helpful, and they manage to cram every useful thing under the sun into a relatively small footprint. I could spend days in here.

I had the privilege of interviewing with Jim today and noticed he was very genuine and happy, his staff is very helpful and focused. I didnt have to go looking for anyone, which I greatfully appreciated. And I hope he considers me if not I still thought everyone was cool.

So incredibly helpful every single time I walk in with a stupid question. A good selection for the size of the store. Everything is a little more pricey than the big box stores, but worth it if you need some help.
