We hired Home Depot in Golden CO to do a custom kitchen. We got new cabinets, countertops, sink, microwave, and hood. Every step was a disaster, it was as though they had never designed or installed a kitchen before. With a baby on the way, we had a time crunch. Two weeks in, we learned our order had been "On Hold" for no known reason, apologies were minimal. I left 2 messages for the supervisor and never recieved a call back. We received different measurements from different staff regarding how big our sink, hood, and microwave could be. Then neither the hood or the microwave fit when attempted to be installed. "Plan B" for the microwave left a blank spot in the kitchen is too high to see into ( I am 55" aka average height woman). Several cabinets came in wrong and needed to be reordered. Several decortive pieces came raw/unfinished and needed re ordered. The contractor needed to take down and re-install cabinets several times. The wall was ruined in the process and re-finished sub-par. Caulking needed redone twice and my husband and I are still planning on re-doing this ourselves (which we have never done before but cant look worse). We spent endless hours in home depot, going over and rechecking their work (note: We do NOT do this for a living.) We opened a credit card, 1 year interest free with no minimum payment, and started receiving statements with interest immediately... we had this corrected but do have a minimum payment. Contractor worked slower than anyone I have witnessed before, he leaned on us to show him how to install trim etc. Contractor and designer seem to think each other are idiots, it is possible they are both correct. In summary, the little money we saved by going with Home Depot was NOT worth it. Too much headache, sloppy work, and over twice the time estimated.

When I went into the store to purchase doors the guy in the dept was very helpful (Brett). I was also REALLY impressed with the guy that came out to measure for the installation, however - after I paid, I never heard from anyone to schedule the installation - 72 hrs later I called, when calling back the first person that answered the phone told me "he was new and couldnt help me so I needed to hang up and call back", the 2nd person that answered seemed confused and said shed send me to that dept, the person that answered in the dept was very hard of hearing and just kept saying "what?! I cant hear you" - (there was no problem with the connection) - I finally gave up and hung up. Will try again tomorrow at a different time to hopefully get a competent person on the line. Looking forward to getting this completed. I typically use Home Depot Boulder which has much better customer service. UPDATE! I finally heard back from someone that informed me the doors were on order and Id hear back when they were ready for install. Today, I received a call to schedule the door install and when I inquired about the storm doors I ordered at the same time... I was told THEY DIDN"T GET ON THE ORDER!?!?!? So Im now finding out that 1/2 of my order didnt even get ordered. I told them to forget it and Id order from the Boulder store where I typically do my shopping. I will NEVER give my business to this location again. Terrible!

Employees at this Home Depot helped us so very much when our refrigerator went out unexpectedly. We spent hours looking for a replacement; The Great Indoors, Sears Outlet Stores, Lowe’s, Sears etc. When we arrived at this Home Depot, Jennifer in Appliances was incredible. She was able to answer every question we throw at her, had complete knowledge of each refrigerator and guided us through the process of securing the perfect one for our needs. We walked out of the store confident we chose the right refrigerator and STORE. In addition, when our new refrigerator could not be delivered for a week, and our coolers were unable to keep our food and medicines from spoiling, the assistant store manager Lee, had his employees deliver a loan refrigerator to our home. Amazing. We are so grateful for their thoughtfulness and kindness. In our careful comparisons Home Depot offered the largest selection of refrigerators and the BEST extended warranty. Other big box stores charged 400% MORE for the less/same warranty coverage. The research process took time and a lot of effort on our part but paid off in the end. Hands down Home Depot offered us the most for our $, the best warranty and FREE delivery. This Home Depot is a great store, the employees are exceptional.

I bought a dishwasher from this Home Depot. My experience with Jody the saleswoman was fantastic and thats where anything positive stopped, which is why there are two stars instead of one. The company Lindstar that did the installation is horrible. Their technician installed the dishwasher incorrectly shredding my new kitchen cabinets and causing the dishwasher to leak. It has been 4 months, so Home Depot wont stand behind the product or the work. I guess I am supposed to be able to know intuitively whether something is installed properly, since Im not a GE technician. I had a Bosch dishwasher previously and am sorry I didnt buy another. Im done buying appliances through the big box chains as well as through internet companies and will look for another option, if one even exists. I miss the America I grew up in, where companies were held accountable and had to provide service. This seems to be the new standard the public will tolerate.

If Home Depot is going to offer tool rental, they need to staff that department with men that know how to answer the phone, answer questions, and speak to the customer with respect. I was hung up on because the other phone was ringing and he ended our conversation by saying, thanks for calling...click. I called to inquire about tillers. I learned there were two available. Before I could ask how much and for how long...click. Same service with W. Alameda and the Morrison location. More people would complain if they werent so angry or maybe they dont WANT TO SIGN UP FOR A GOOGLE ACCOUNT TO COMPLAIN!!!

Worst Home Depot Ive ever been to. I called corporate to complain, but nothing changed. NO ONE RUNS THE REGISTERS. There will be all sorts of employees lounging around doing nothing, and yet when you get to the register, you are FORCED to use the self-serve lanes which is SO annoying. Ive chosen to go to Lowes because at least they have people manning the registers. If Im going to check myself out, put me on the payroll. They seem to be missing the SERVICE part of customer service.

Bought a Water Boss water softener for self installation. Some parts seemed missing and when I called WaterBoss, they had me read them the serial #. The unit was built in 2007! Manufacturer advised that I rerun the unit. Home Depot was very helpful and took the return without question. If you need a water softener, and buy a WaterBoss from Home Depot, be sure to check the serial #... the first two digits are the year of manufacture
