I went in and asked for a book on astronomy and specified not astrology. (i want to understand exactly what Im looking at before I ever get into its meaning which I also specified.) What do they give me? A book that half way through the first chapter goes straight to the zodiac. I like the store and what they have to offer but I feel like I was BS-ed into a buy and will more than likely seek out different stores first from now on. Also the woman at the counter told me, after I mentioned why I want an astronomy book, well they are completely separate things..... Not really; we had to observe where it all is before we ever were able to understand its meaning. Without astronomy we would have never had astrology.

Im so glad I found Shining Lotus Metaphysical Bookstore! Now I have an official store to come to when I want to buy stones. Stones are in abundance here, just about every stone imaginable. Unlike other places Ive been to, I especially like that this one has cards attached to the baskets to inform you of the various healing properties of each stone. Ruben is just wonderful, he was very knowledgeable about the different stones and very helpful in telling how I could use them and where I could place them. He was so nice, he even offered me money for the parking meter. The store is very quaint and tranquil. Be prepared to take your time and really explore here.

This is a great store in an easily accessable location. There is lots of parking! The store has a huge variety of metaphysical books, new and used. They even carry rare books. There is lots of jewelry, insense, candles, calendars, stones, wind chimes, and decorations. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable. If the dont know something they are happy to help you find you the information. This is absolutly my favorite metaphysical book store.

Ganasha would enjoy shopping here - no obstacles :-). I purchased a wonderful aqua aura pendulum at a good price and attended a wonderful spiritual group last night led by Norma as well. The shop has good vibes :-) Also, as an aside, I encounted absolutely no astrology/astronomy discernment issues whilst in the store and their library was well stocked and organized.

This is a great little store - with a HUGE inventory of anything you want in this realm of life. Gail was so helpful with helping me look for CDs to teach my yoga classes. Friendly welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely go back and would recommend it to anyone. Great selection of books in many many many categories as well.

I love this place. They just moved closer to where I live. So happy! Great staff, very helpful. Lots of items for all religious and spiritual paths. Lots and lots of books...new and used. They also hold classes, and give readings/counseling at this store. Great place! Give it a visit.
