Bookies is my FAVORITE store. Period. The staff is excellent -- always ready to help, and knowledgable about childrens books. The teaching supplies are excellent. I would have been thrilled with a store that provides childrens books and teaching supplies, but in addition to these items, the store also provides a beautiful selection of jewelry, handbags, games, AND a small but interesting supply of books for adults. All contained in a cozy little space tucked into an ugly little strip mall in Glendale. Truly a hidden treasure of Denver.

I have to say I preferred the knowledgeable staff and quality selection of the Tattered Cover (Colfax). It is not as immense as Bookies, but it had more of the treasured high quality, well selected books that I like to choose as a parent. I went to Bookies due to a few recommendations but now only go to the TC. Bookies had a hard time ordering a rare book I was looking for and the TC staff did it easily. I find that the people who prefer Bookies are teachers who may be doing more bulk buying and focused on volume.

The bookies is a cute little shop that has great games like Belz that you cant find at target Walgreens Walmart and all the other company stores . The bookies also has great books like the witch series that every myself and all kinds of other cool box that they recommend the staff there is very kind
