They had google delete my previous review so that tells you what kind of business they are. Bought a 2008 Porsche Cayanne Literally 10 minutes after drive it off their lot the check engine light came on. Went to the local auto parts store and had the codes pulled then gave Crown a call.... They had me come back to check it out and pulled the code and quickly told me "its just an O2 sensor, no big deal here in Colorado on a German vehicle". Now I know they are lying because I had the codes which tripped the check engine light and none of the 4 were for an O2 sensor. They reset the check engine light and Im on my way. Sure enough it comes back on later that evening. Wife and I are sick to our stomach because the codes are for cam shaft positioning sensor, catalytic insufficient flow x2 and we know these are big bucks and we just bought a car sold "as is". BUT I remembered the car has to pass emissions and no car less than 12 years old in Colorado will pass with the check engine light on! So first thing Monday morning I go to have the emissions checked and they of course fail it on the spot and pull the codes..... They listed 3 codes (none of which were an O2 sensor like they claimed). I then took the car to a Porsche specialist, paid $120 and had the issues diagnosed. The car has 4 catalytic converters and the front 2 needed to be replaced! They quoted a price of $5000 for a proper swap as legitimate parts from Porsche run $1600 each for the converters. So took the car back to Crown on Wednesday and they said they would fix the car..... They tried running the emissions 3 different times, twice on Thursday and once on Saturday..... They were unsuccessful each time of course because they didnt fix anything on the car just tried to game the system. So today (Monday) I go over to Crown to see whats going on and there is MY car sitting right in front of their lot, 2008 sticker on the windshield, all the Crown Auto crap I pulled off the car back on and prepped for sale! No license plate in the window..... They had MY car back on their lot to sell!! Finally get to the bottom of it they threw in the towel and decided to buy the car back from me. Needless to say had to wade through all the lies to finally get satisfaction. CONSUMERS you have 3 business days starting the first business day after delivery from the dealer to get an emissions test done. IF you do not get the car tested and returned to the dealer within that time period they are under NO obligation to fix any emission issues! Before the three days they have 3 options 1.to fix the car 2.to have a third party fix the car 3.to buy back the car...... The guy said he called our phones and left a message..... He called my wifes phone but left no message related to buying the car back. They had a car they didnt own for sale on their lot! Then they lied to me about that fact! (I have pictures to prove what Im saying is true). You can also check the emissions history for any car through the clean air Colorado website, I suggest doing that with any car they are selling. So to wrap this up remember, you have 3 days to have the cars emissions checked and if it fails they dealer is liable for all expenses to fix it..... After 3 days they are off the hook! (These liars hoped I didnt know about this). If I hadnt known about this little tidbit Id have been on the hook for a $5k repair bill to make the car road worthy. I challenge anyone from Crown Auto to dipute anything Ive written here.... I have photographic proof of codes that caused the check engine light to come on, proof they checked the emissions 3 times without success via the Colorado clean air website and photographic proof they had my car I legally still owned prepped and for sale on their lot. AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAUGE!! They will lie to your face and not bat an eye!

I purchased a car from Crown Auto in Denver in November. I took it in February for an oil change at a friend and very reliable Swedish repair company. They informed me there are a few things wrong with the car. I scheduled to have those things repaired today at the time of my second oil change and they found even more things. The sales people were a bit pushy kept showing me a bunch of paperwork about how great a deal I was getting. Lets look at what is wrong... I specifically was looking for an AWD vehicle and the AWD system is broken! doesnt and hasnt even been working, needs the pump replaced. A/C doesnt work, engine fans run constantly (not good) Front struts, mounts, links, controls, bushing and alignment all need to be replaced. The car rattled a bit and they had paperwork showing this was all checked out and OKd by their mechanics. My tire pressure sensor is broken and I am constantly putting air into the tires that were in "good" condition and they need to be replaced. Brakes and rotors need replacing. I would be very cautions purchasing from them. I now see other similar reviews and wish I would have looked into the company more now that I am dealing with all these repairs and only months after. I feel they knew what I was shopping for and wanted to sell the car for their customer knowing why she was getting rid of it and all the problems it had. There is no way their mechanic is certified, how could he not catch all these things wrong! I doubt the carfax was even real... very disappointing

I recently spent several days shopping for used cars for my twin daughters and visited roughly 30 different dealerships in the greater Denver area looking for the right cars for each of them. Our initial visit to Crown Auto was toward the beginning of our car shopping adventure but is where we ultimately found the right car and the people we wanted to do business with. We were impressed with a number of things with Crown Auto: The staff was clean cut, professional and knowledgeable about the cars on their lot (could only say this about 3 of the 30 lots we visited). They have a friendly no pressure approach, allowing us to be comfortable with our selections. They did not play the game of having one price online and a different price on the lot, in fact we stated the look in their clean air conditioned office (98 degree day) with their online inventory. We picked several cars which they pulled around for us to take a closer look. The cars were all detailed inside and out (cleanest cars we looked at). When we negotiated the final price there were absolutely no surprises of funny business making the process quick and painless. These guys went above and beyond to earn our business and got one of my daughters into what she calls her “dream car”. I have another set of twins who are 14 so I have no doubt these guys will be in business when they are ready and may be the only stop we need to visit. Thank you guys for a great car buying experience. Thank You!!!! TKL
