I had a terrible experience at The Big Tool Box. I would never return. The staff was generally helpful but the manager of the garden center, Cindy, steer clear of. I had spent at least $1700 on trees and flowers. I had owned a floral shop for ten years and worked at a garden center for two. I realize that plants are perishable and must be cared for with the utmost of diligence. A small 4inch pot of coleus out of 10 I had purchased perished. The cashier argued with me relentlessly. I just gave up.Cindy, the garden shop manager read me the riot act . I have never been treated as callously and rude as this woman. She clearly is in no position to be interacting with the public. If I were a consumer I would frequent any garden center except Big Tool Box.

I had mostly a great experience. Ray in the repair shop was super nice and walked me through all my options. I had bent my drive shaft in my mower hitting a large rock. I had spoken with 3 other mower repair shops that said they would not touch it. The big tool box took on the project. It was a bit pricey, but I expected that since it was a big job that nobody else would do. It did take longer than expected....about 3 weeks and they told me it would be about 2. I was not too put out with that though since my mower now works great.

These folks are consistently the best in their business. They greet you like an old friend when you walk in the door and they always have someone around that knows a little bit about everything and is happy to help you pick just the right thing. Ive never been treated like a stupid girl in a hardware store at Ace and thats a nice change! Although their prices tend to be a little higher than the bigger stores I will always choose to give our business to these guys. Thank you for being so wonderful to work with!

Virtually everything I need for basic home maintenance and upkeep. Good garden center, tools, sprinkler (the place to go for sprinkler needs), paint, yard, plumbing, electric, and on and on. Almost always someone is going to ask you if you need help and almost always they know what they are talking about. Occasionally there is a wait if they are busy and even more rare someone doesnt know the answer. Local feel. Plus too the kids love to go with me for the free popcorn.

Called to see if they had a part in stock for a mower. Talked to a teenager whom claimed they had it so I drove a half hour so I could fix a mower that day. Got there and talked to 3 other teenagers. Nobody could find the part and said they had to order it. Only reason they got two stars is because of the collection of sprinkler piping encapsulated by tree roots that they have hanging from their ceiling. Otherwise, kind of a cluster in there.

What a disappoint this place was. After being highly recommended this place was a bust. The Big Tool Box has poor customer service, a manager who blames problems on the employees, and poor turn-around time on tune up services for lawn mowers. The mower came back to me dirty even though the service tech checked the box on the checklist that he had cleaned it. There are so many other options out there so please skip this poorly managed place.

Dean and Jenny in there saved me a ton of time on projects and always have great input/ideas for how to do things. Im a frequent DIYer and this place is the best. Forget the big box if you can get the parts/items here. Great local place that I would always support and go back to. Its also faster than wondering around looking for help at other places.

Having been a customer there for 20 plus years, I can safely say there is no other hardware store to do business with. They have saved me hundreds of dollars with their expert advise. Called to ask a basic question and got chewed out by a store employee who was "too busy" and "not going to help" and asked me to hang up. Apathetic manager said he could not do a thing about it because he didnt know who it could be. Unapologetic, uninterested in losing business. With so many choices, this is one to avoid.

The dude helping me rent the budget truck was super chill, professional, and helpful. Lets add patient to that also. Everything went well and they hooked me up with a brand new 16 budget truck with low miles. Good job!!!! Most insurances dont carry to commercial vehicles so check into it!

Ive used these guys a couple times. Once for a roto-tiller and once for a paint sprayer, they were a little more anal about not getting paint on the OUTSIDE of the paint sprayer than another rental place was. They were very helpful and nice. I would recommend this place to my friends.

Previously had a bad experience with a lawnmower that I had them work on, and went back to have it rectified. Seth and Ray went above and beyond to make the situation right. These guys take pride in their work and it shows. I will definitely be back.

Great place for DIY sprinkler supplies. Better selection of fittings and tools than any of the larger stores. You dont have to spend money on a contractor if you just go to the sprinkler center and get all of your detailed questions answered!

I love this place. Definitely my "go to" place. I even drive from Denver to go since I moved. Very nice people. Knowledgeable. Helpful. No - they are not the cheapest - but you know, its not JUST about the cheapest. They are just great!

I use to take my lawnmower for repair at Sears but no longer. Big Tool Box fixed my sputtering lawnmower for exactly what they quoted, 35 bucks. It runs great now and I highly recommend their repair center.

Just love the feeling of this place. Never, ever had a bad experience. Great service. Great selection (for the size--this isnt the Big Orange Box!). Best part--its in the neighborhood and has that feel.

Quick and easy! Always so helpful, inside AND outside. The garden center is awesome. Great spot to look around and get ideas. But if I need something quick, theres always someone nearby to help.

I took them a mower that worked and they returned one that doesnt. Wanted a tune up for my mower and $130 dollars later it doesnt run at all. What a waste of time and money.
