Friday, November 24, 2016 around 12:00 noon: I have shopped at this Home Depot in Greenwood Village many times, and the customer service has been ok. This times, for the first time, I went to rent an electric power washer. I went to the tool rental department and talked to a short and older guy (I didnt get his name), who did his job and saying what can I do for you. I had to get the details of the rental out of him by asking questions. Saturday, November 25, 2016, around 11:00 AM: I went to return the electric power washer and at the entrance of the tool rental department, a guy takes the machine inside. I get in and stand in front of the counter. Once there, there was a big-overweight guy (too bad I didnt get his name) looking at his monitor. Ignored me as if I wasnt there. The guy who took the machine didnt even tell him I was returning a machine. After 2 minutes waiting since I thought he was busy, he turn his head and asks "return?". I didnt hear him and asked him "Im sorry?". The big guy yells at me "RETURN???". He caught me of guard. So I said yes while processing what just happened. I signed, said "thank you" and went on my way. I hope not, but this stereotype of being a Mexican-construction worker or a Mexican-house renovation guy or anything else is not a reason to be yelled at like that by a big white guy. Unless that the way he talks to everyone in this line of work. By the way, I have many Mexican and Central American friends and I happen to be a Latino from South America; we have a lot in common. I was just excited, as a second grade teacher and not handy at all, to work on power washing my house wooden fence and the driveway. I for sure teach all my 7-8 year-old students to be kind. Treat others the way you want them to treat you, which should always be with kindness.

Generally, when everything goes well, theres no problem, but when there is a problem, no one knows what the hell theyre doing. Ive been speaking with Geoff the manager about a charge that appeared on our Visa card that didnt belong to us. Somehow, our card got charged for the other company waiting in line at Tool Rental. I disputed it with our bank but they said it was a legitimate charge (PIN Debit transaction). Well, yes but not our purchase. It took several calls and several visits (then several more calls) to try to figure this out. Once it was determined that the transaction belonged to another company, I had a hell of a time trying to get a refund. No one was available because they all went to graveyard shifts (for inventory) and no one was talking to each other or leaving notes/messages on how to find this refund transaction (which was supposed to be in the computer). Last night, I spoke with Holly at 10:30 pm and she said that Geoff had it all figured out and that all I had to do was come in this morning and they would process the refund on my card. Another hour later, still no progress. No one could find the refund that was supposedly "waiting in the queue". After going back to my office and waiting another hour, Aubri located the transaction. After 5 weeks of inquiries, Aubri in Customer Service was able to pull it all together and get everyone up and talking to determine where this transaction was hiding. Aubri is to be commended for her diligence and patience in this matter. As for the rest of the staff...1 star. Very disappointed - from the tool rental people to the management, this has been a huge waste of my time and a big headache.

Extremely disappointed with this Home Depot and the Manger on duty on Friday, 1/6 I believe his name was CJ. Another Home Depot sent us to this store to get an item that we needed more of. The manager at this store refused to honor the price of the exact same item from the other Home Depot even with documentation of the item and price from Home Depot. Customer service did say it was up to the manager. Our only choice was to purchase the item at this store and return it at the other Home Depot and then purchase it again at the discounted price. The manager new this was what was going to happen but still didnt care or honor the price. Even when I point out that seemed like a waste for Home Depot since they get changed a fee every time I use my credit card. In fact their response was it really doesnt matter since we do enough in volume. It is clear all the manger cares about is his sales numbers and not customer service. He did say he has been at this store for 12 years, maybe someone should consider some customer service training for CJ and remind him that the bottom line for his store alone is not the only important thing. I would recommend going to Lowes or Floor and Decor, they both have outstanding customer service compared to Home Depot.

Weve actually had some pretty unfortunate experiences at this store but Laura (or Lauren?) in the kitchens/appliances area deserves a shout out! My husband and I were more so curiosity shopping for countertops/backsplash and we told her up front we werent ready to purchase anything. She still walked us through the whole process with excitement and knowledgable advice. She was friendly, down to earth, personable and funny. We actually were so engaged by her we spoke to her about her Boston accent, her wedding day motorcycle ride and both of our careers :) We left the store talking about how our experience with her was the best weve encountered there! This store is lucky to have this woman!

Got to the paint department at 12:45 on a Sunday afternoon. Two employees at the desk ignoring the many customers that are waiting. Look completely completely confused by everything they are doing. Finally one of the guys asks how he can help us. We hand him the color we need (a clear color match sticker, all he needs to do is scan it into the computer). He walks around aimlessly for a minute and then comes back, gives us back the sample and walks away with no explanation. We are still standing here waiting for someone to help. Does not inspire confidence that once we are helped well get anything close to what we ask for.

Horrible customer service. Waited for 20 minutes for assistance in the shelving department to cut a shelf. Sought assistance from the paint department and appliance department where there were staff standing around talking or not worki g with other customers . Both called for assistance but no one came. And they didnt bother to follow up to see if I got assistance. Finally left without help and drove to another home depot.

I went in to the store to buy a chainsaw. All that they had left were shelf models. I took the shelf model home, soon realizing that the cashier didnt take the theft alarm off. I then had to take the chainsaw back to the store to have the alarm off. Once I got home, I realized the lids for the gas tank and oil tank were missing. Due to the carelessness of the staff at this Home Depot, I will never shop there again.
