I purchased my 2014 Ford Explorer in August, 2016. It was arranged at the time of purchase that the car would be cleaned and another set of keys, they only had one set, would be ready when I picked up the vehicle. When the day arrived for me to get my vehicle, the car was not cleaned on the undercarriage, it was caked with dried mud, and there was not another set of keys waiting for me. I was told to return to Medved the following week and it would be taken care of at that time. Upon my return, after waiting an hour, I was told that the key-maker would not be in that day and that they no longer had time to wash the undercarriage of my vehicle. They did suggest that I contact the key-maker to find another location where he would be in later in the week and to have a key made then, which I did. Nearly two months after I purchased the vehicle, I was contacted by Medved’s finance team to let me know they made a mistake on the bill of sale and that it needed to be corrected. They mailed a new bill of sale to me which I then mailed back. About a month later I was sent a letter in the mail informing me that I owed more than $800 due to another mistake on the finance department’s end, that they had not collected the taxes properly. After calling to find out what the issue was, I sent the money to them and was assured that there would be no issue when it came time to register my vehicle. After taking time off work to visit the Douglas County Clerk’s office, I was told that Medved had not sent the proper information in on time and that I would not be able to register my vehicle. Additionally, I was informed that I needed to purchase another temporary tag until the proper paperwork was filed. I contacted Medved and was told that, “sometimes these things happen”. I was offered something to “try and make it right” and chose to have a damaged panel, on the inside of my vehicle replaced. These types of repairs, I was told, can only be made during weekdays so I made an appointment and time off work to take my Explorer in and waited for about 45 minutes until I was told that they ordered the wrong part. I was assured that the correct part would be ordered and that when I brought my vehicle back in, it would be a “quick fix”. I made another weekday appointment, and took my Explorer in and was told after more than an hour that they ordered the wrong part, yet again. I was asked to bring my Explorer back for a third time and was assured it would be right this time and that they would give me a free oil change and car detail for the hassle. The third time I took my Explorer in, the part was there and it took very little time to fix. I asked to speak to the service manager to discuss a few thing, was told they’d be out, but no one ever came to talk to me. In the end, I did not accept the free oil change and car detail because I have no faith that Medved can get it right. I believe them to be incompetent in car maintenance and do not trust them to do anything more to my Explorer. On my last visit, I was also offered a $25 gas card, which would pay for all of the times I had to go to and from their business, but doubt I’ll ever see it. I would not recommend Medved to anyone. I honestly don’t understand how they’re in business because all they seem to do is make mistakes and at the end of the day it’s not worth the hassle.

I decided to schedule some work for my Lincoln after seeing the excellent reviews, but my experience was less than stellar here. I was told I would get a rental car because I had some recall work that was needed and an oil leak, and I wanted to get it taken care of before going on a road trip (I scheduled my repairs about 2 weeks ahead of the road trip). But when I showed up that morning for my scheduled appointment, not only was no such rental car available, but nobody bothered to call me in advance so I wouldnt have had to inconvenience my employer by adjusting my work schedule. I was told I would be contacted as soon as the rental became available - possibly in the next couple of days - but I ended up being the one who had to call to check in for a status report. I was told again that a rental car would likely be available soon, and days turned into a week. Eventually, I did receive one phone call from the service advisor telling me he hadnt forgotten about me and that he hoped a rental car would come soon. That was the first and last time I heard from him. I ended up taking my vehicle to Landmark Lincoln with less than a week left before my road trip, where they got me in within 2 days of the call and had a rental available as promised. MedVed needs to dramatically reassess its rental car approach and communicate better with its customers. If its not likely a rental will be available, please be upfront so that customers who are in a time crunch can go elsewhere. Please call them before they show up at the dealership for an appointment if there is a problem, so they dont have to be inconvenienced by changing their work schedules for no reason at all. Or, MedVed should alter its approach so more rentals are available to its customers. I really wanted this to be a positive experience/review!

Run as fast as you can to another dealership and do yourself a HUGE favor. In fact you can probably get better service from one of the lots on Colfax! My son purchased a car that MedVed GUARANTEED in writing would be working condition - it was part of the sales agreement. It has spent more time getting towed back to Medved then it has actually on the road. The finance manager and the service manager had some work done on the car and then told us to have the rest of the work done under the warranty - which of course we paid extra for - and pay the delectable (WTH) When it came time to do the additional work which was scheduled with the service department they didnt even have it on the schedule. Nick the mechanic who worked on the car told us to go to another mechanic to do the work! Nick in the service department was extremely rude about it and it was apparently obvious that he was put out and that he had no intentions to do the work he actually signed he would do on the car. Trust me these people will say whatever they need to in order to get a sale and then when it comes times to do what they guaranteed in writing they would do - they will have a million excuses why they cant do the work. If you are looking for honesty - right who was I kidding - and integrity look somewhere else. If you want rude, dishonest service come to MedVed...you wont be disappointed with their lack of accountability!

My experience has not been great with medved my wife and I bought a vehicle from them agreed on price and payment on a Saturday we shook hands signed all paperwork just to be called on Monday saying that the payment was going to be higher because they messed up the paperwork after getting this all settled we had to have service done on are vehicle about a month later after being qutoed a time length of one day to complete the vehicle they dont even call me I had to call them to find out they hadnt even touched the vehicle that day giving some sorry excuse as to why they didnt do the work. Then I was told it would be done the next day and and come the end of the next day Im getting a phone call saying they are still not done finely Friday comes and I get my vehicle back and all the things they needed to fix magically still werent fixed all the way. Now I figured just a mistake or something of that nature but then I wanted to get a remote start added to my vehicle and cant even get a service writer to call me back I was going to buy my next truck from here but with the quilt of service I was given and still seem to be getting I must warn cuties not to give your money to this dealership.
