This store gets two stars only because it is there. My experiences have been much less than helpful and professional. I went into the store about a week ago at 1:15 p.m. to pick up a prescription and was told that they would not be able to help me because the pharmacist was on break. I did not have time to wait as I had to go back to work but have never been to a Walmart where they were so short staffed that one poor woman was in charge of the entire pharmacy and there was no one around to help her! A few days before that, my boyfriend was trying to purchase contacts and was given a day and a half run around because they couldnt find his prescription... He spelled his name for them twice on the initial call and still they were looking at the wrong name, the name of a person who hadnt been in since 2004! And when these incidences happen there is no sincere apology, customer service is lacking in a big way. When I have interactions with the staff and cashiers they could at least smile. I have now been on hold for fifteen minutes just to get a simple yes or no for a product, just because your store is the only option for miles doesnt mean that you can completely forget about customer service or even decent manners!

For the second time in a year the store did something that caused my family greif.. My son only gets a few dollars allowance a week, he works hard for that money, he saves up the money for months to buy large items like Lego sets and video games. Yesterday, we went to Walmart to scout for his next big buy and we settled on new Lego sets and thats where this story ends because when we rang-up the toys the computer said we couldnt have them. My 8-year old really looks forward to these things and it upset him very much. I went online and there are no safetly recalls associated with these toys so I dug and found that Walmart took these toys from my son because they werent supposed to be on the shelf yet. I have escalated this complaint to the regional manager.

Its a nice Walmart. Unlike all other Walmarts Ive seen, this one is hidden from the road. You can only see a bit of the roof when you drive by on i-70 and it does not look like a box store. Its actually neat looking, so it fools you. Was there three times to get stuff while visiting Vail this summer. Each time I stopped to get stuff, I noticed Eagle County Police or Avon Police cars sitting out front with lights on. One time, a women was hauled out in cuffs. Im guessing shoplifting is a problem here. Just a guess. Its a great place to get stuff when youre in Vail. Why? Stuff is cheaper here, and everywhere else, stuff is 25%-50% more expensive.

I tried to return a book that I bought at the Avon Walmart. I had the receipt and the unread book. The customer service guy said that i could not return the book. When asked why, he said that they didnt accept returns of books even though it is not posted anywhere. When asked why he said because of universal copyright laws. What universal copyright laws? What a joke this guy is, the return policy is clearly posted on Walmarts website "books must be unused and unmarked," which this book is. I will return tomorrow and talk to the store manager for their take on the return policy and decide if our weekly trips to walmart will continue or not.

This is the worst Walmart Ive ever been to. The staff is not friendly and Ive had so many bad experiences there. There was once an employee laying in the middle of the isle barefoot, and on that same day I was the only one in line and there was no employee in sight. I stood there waiting for like 7 minutes. I learned not to ask for help because they have no clue. And never try to call them. Itll ring and ring and ring and if they do answer they transfer you and it rings and rings and rings. Unfortunately Im stuck going here since its the only thing open in this valley all night but I really hope they start actually taking their jobs seriously.

the worker know nothing. if u come to pickup online order, u need to find someone to help u. many products need re order and they dont even know. the price tag ? always in wrong place. Customers service? they didnt hear about that. You want to talk to the manager? Talk to God much easier,, doubt id he ever in the store. many residents of the area prefer to go to CITY MARKET, some times pay little bit more, but better service. The worst Walmart store!

is how I would describe every employee at this Walmart. Trying to ask a question of any employee is about as effective as asking the box of Pop Tarts you are trying to find the in labyrinth of shelves. Its likely a language barrier problem but it exists even with people who have lots of contact with customers, like the employees that answer the phone or man the electronics section. I have been to other Walmarts and its never this bad.

Seriously, this has got to be the poorest excuse for wal-mart in the country. They never fail to NOT have whatever I need in stock, and youre 100% on your own finding anything as the help is hardly that. Anyway, its a necessary evil and the only place for miles around that stocks the kind of crap wal-mart carries, so I guess customer service is just not important when you have a totally captive audience. Bravo!

Not living in a city, sometimes you need something and Walmart is the only place that has it. Only go when absolutely necissary. Probably the worst Walmart I have been to. Customer service is non-existent. If you have to find one of those uncommon items and look everywhere with no luck you cant even ask an employee where you can find it. Employees hardly understand what you are asking for.

Angie was the name of the assistant manager that I spoke to who gave me completly wrong information after waiting on hold for 30 minutes. Their service and phone ediquette is something else.. after "transfering" the call all I heard was the manager angie talking to the other lady telling her to put me back on hold..this was the most annoying call ive delt with. thanks for nothing wal mart

The majority of the employees I saw today between 1 & 2pm were talking to each other instead of working, and it was very frustrating for a customer who needed assistance. I go to this Wal-Mart often and see the same thing: people talking and not working. It is OBVIOUS to customers when employees arent working, but it made me appreciate the ones who ARE working hard so much more.

Stopped in to buy a fishing license. Guy ahead of me suggested I go elsewhere, he had been there 30 minutes trying to get his. I stayed and wish I hadnt. Salesman said it was his first day on the job and he had no one to assist/guide him. Took about 20 minutes and he sold me the wrong type of license.
