I had my alterations done here last Fall. If it wasnt for my waiting until the last minute, as well as trusting that this place would be great, I would not have left my dress here. Let me start by saying, DeeDee DID do a very acceptable job in altering my dress. It did fit great and looked great. However, for someone who is in customer service, she needs a very big attitude adjustment. She is rude, condescending, and bad-mannered. If it wasnt for her attitude towards brides and their guests, I am positive this place would be a success. Her poor husband was at the desk to greet my guests and I and was very helpful and warm. He also scheduled my appointment, and again great service. During my consultation, as a very nervous bride not from around here & having found her shop by googling it, I asked her about her experience and how she goes about hiring her staff. At which time, she became offended and started spouting off how a TV show was considering using her alterations shop for a reality show and blah blah blah. She then told me if I was "too nervous" she would "refuse to service me," out of fear I would not like her alterations to my dress. This was definitely not the case. As a paying customer I have the right to know and ask about her experience and training before I leave a very expensive dress in her hands. So again, running out of time, I chose to leave my dress and pray for the best. Upon returning to pick up my dress, the straps still felt to big and I was nor comfortable with it. DeeDee did offer to fix it and have me return in 30 min. I returned, tried on my dress, but still felt it needed to be a little tighter. DeeDee then lost her cool, told me she disagreed, and that if I wanted it any tighter I would need to sign a waiver saying she warned me against the alterations and that I couldnt hold her to it if it went bad. I was very taken a back and upset about her total blow up when I clearly was not happy nor did I want my dress being too big on the day of my wedding. So I signed the waiver. She again fixed it and it was perfect! Yes, she can alter your dress and yes it will look good. But why not go somewhere else that will do just as good of a job, and treat you with respect and great customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DeeDee needs to learn the customer is always right and to bite her tongue and smile to everyone. (I also find it very wrong that the Wedding Seamstress Shop responds to all negative reviews with a pointing finger at the customer, rather then accepting their fault and apologizing & striving to improve their customer satisfaction.) GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!!

Went to the this place and was a fine expierence until DeeDee walked in (which was about 5min) . She was very condescending and rude. She gave the impression that she didnt want to alter my dress because it was SOOOO much trouble. After walking around and humming she kept saying "this is a lot of work", "very time consuming ", "very complicated " and telling me that she cant do what needs to be done without reconstructing the whole top of the dress. And then she had to call in one of her seamstress that does pagent gowns (who was very sweet). This did not give me a lot of confidence... She owns the place and is a designer.... Do you really need someones opinion that does pagent gowns when youre a designer? We then asked hasnt she ever worked with someone with big boobs before. Her words were "well most the girls with your size chest wouldnt have bought this dress". She then suggested that I go get another slip dress that goes with this dress in a bigger size for my chest. And order a bra to put in the dress. Im a 34 F. Bras for me are regularly $100. For her to cut up. And she couldnt get an underwire big enough... Or cups big enough. Your a professional! Cant you order this stuff? She says that she sees thousands of dresses a year and that she had seen my dress before. Well then she very well knew that my dress had been discontinued....and tried to send us on a wild goose chase. She was rude and disrespectful and made me feel self conscious about my body. When basically it was that she didnt want to alter the dress because it was too much trouble. This is why she quoted me $1475 to alter my dress. I think the hope was if she quoted me something outrageous is that I would go somewhere else. Well it worked! Instead, she could have said my staff does not have the skills or time for this much work. At the end of the appointment all of the sudden she was super nice and her voice kept getting higher pitched and louder and couldnt get us out the door fast enough. I have called around multiple places and was told they get these complaints regularly about her. She should never make a bride feel terrible about her body or what dress she has dreamed of. Its the seamstress job to make it work. And NOT make the bride terrified. Anyway, found a wonderful lady that says "anything can be fixed"....and I have complete faith.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY - NOT TO MENTION THEY WILL RUIN YOUR WEDDING EXPERIENCE!!!!! I also met with DeeDee (the owner) to have a corset back added to my wedding dress. She was not very polite to begin with and didnt even take my measurements on our first meeting, which should have been a red flag to start. I called to see if I could come back to try my shoes on with my dress and they said that they could have it ready a week early and it would be no problem. When I went back to pick up my dress, it was a MESS! It did not even resemble a corset. She rudely tried to convince me that she is a professional and that was what a corset looked like (although it looked NOTHING like the photos I brought). She then told me that she couldnt match the dress color so she made the entire thing out of DRESS LINING! -how cheap! and then to top it off, it didnt fit! the top of the dress was too big and she said that the corset could be tightened and it would fit, but failed to tell me that it could NOT be pulled tighter because the loops that were created were entirely too big and all of them were different sizes and didnt align. After that, she told me that the ribbon could not lay flat because of "engineering" which is the craziest thing I have ever heard. If she was such a professional, she would have seen with her "trained" eyes that I had a sloppy, non-functional corset that I could have never worn on my wedding day and should have NEVER allowed a client walk out of the door like that! The craziest part was that she finally tried to convince me that it was "our lack of communication" that caused the outcome and she got very angry with me. I thought photos of what I wanted would have been enough to communicate what I wanted my dress to look like and just assumed it would fit!!! Finally, after my phone calls, comments from other professionals, and photos of the "mess" they refunded me half of my money and then claimed that the day AFTER I picked up my dress the proper materials (not the dress lining) flew in on the jet from New York!~ haha, what a load of crap!!!! I found perfect fabric at Denver Fabric and hired a REAL seamstress!!! I would give them ZERO stars!!!! - oh and I see they are hiring interns. Sounds like DeeDee must be too busy working on her line and is having her interns do her client work - BEWARE!!!
