This is a tough review, but a fare one. This operation earned it over several missed opportunities for my business and favorable review. About every five or so months I fall for it again. I’m in a bit of a rush, and I need a (fill in any obligatory office supply or print service)…Oh! There’s a Staples right down the street…I’ll rush in, grab what I need, and be on my way. Never happens. Months ago I needed to make three color photocopies for a child’s afterschool project which became 40 minute ordeal whereby the associate “helping” me tried to charge me for the copies she messed up on then gave me grief when I tried to have the policy explained to me. A couple of months after that, another associate accidently deleted a fantasy football sign in sheet twenty minutes before the draft – that was a good first impression. Most recently, I had a four page presentation due this morning and because I am in the middle of a move, my printer is packed…Last night I thought, “No problem, I’ll just stop off at Staples on the way into the office.” I check their website, it says there open at 7:00am. “Perfect” I thought, now I didn’t have to rummage through boxes to find the printer and its cables, I’ll just take my file from my laptop to my flash drive and head over to Staples first thing in the morning. 7:05am this morning, I pull in, get out in the rain to find two associates who look about as put together as a couple of carnies smoking outside the front entrance. I walk past then directly to the front entrance to find the doors are locked. I turned and looked at the two employees and all I got from one of them was “Uh, dude we don’t open ‘till eight…” and then a stoner chuckle people make when they want to say “that sucks for you.” I guess it only occurred to him that that information would have been better delivered before I got out of the car, or before I walked to them in the rain, or before I walked passed them, or before I pulled on the lock door? Three lessons: 1. Keep extra printer cartridges and extra paper in the house at all times. 2. Don’t save for tomorrow what you can do today. 3. If in a pinch, drive right on past Staples (of which I live three blocks from) and go to FedEx-Kinkos, Wal-Mart, or Office Depot – they’re only a mile and half away from that shack of sub-mediocrity. Oh, yeah one more thing, after calling to inform their manager that their website is posting the wrong hours of operation I was politely informed “Uh, yeah, I don’t do that kind of stuff…” Boy don’t I feel silly?

This place is completely unorganized. I placed an order online when I arrived for pick up they did not actually provide what was ordered. When I told them this was not what I ordered they told me to come back in 20 minutes when I did they closed down the copy center for a "break." While the sign said see customer service to pick up orders no one in the store was able to help until the employee returned from break. Meanwhile the handful of employees working were doing nothing but standing around since the store was empty. There is definitely a lack of customer service.

I just do not understand how this store stays in business. I have been trying to contact the Yuba City CA store since 9:00 this morning. Was looking for info on Copying and scanning and was told to hold on someone would be with me shortly. No one ever came on the line. I hung up and tried a little later to only have the same thing happen. So I tried other depts. and still no one ever picked up. Right now it is 12:15pm and still unable to reach anyone. So this has not been a very good experience for me at all.

this store will not stand behind there mistakes of there staff. They will come up with excuses that they are to busy to look in to the problem. I sent a computer to get repaired. I asked the girl helping me if it was insured she said yes. She also didnt know how to print return paid label . I had to wait for some else to help her Seems like some one should be able to figure this out. Now I have a broken computer and the store says they can do nothing. Dont wast your time going here.

Very helpful staff, helped unload 115# paper for shredding, young lady in charge of printing center took care of me but still kept her eye on other customers. They were greeted, told wait time, how to work machines, etc. Very efficient, friendly, knowledgeable staff.

A big disappointment when I got home and opened the box of paper that I bought...I wanted 8x11, I got 11x17. Its now a 2 hour drive to return and replace

Clerk was available and helpful. Answered questions we had . At checkout the clerk was efficient an d told us about protection for cell phones.
