I ordered flowers midday today to be delivered to my mother. When speaking to the owner, Carol and placing the order, I told her I wanted a bouquet with all pink flowers. She asked if she could make a few suggestions and since I am not a professional flower arranger, I was more than happy to listen to her suggestions. She explained that by adding a few other colors the pink would pop more, so I told her to go ahead an do what she thought best, just make pink the predominant color. Well, her and I got to chatting and she was just so nice. She has been in business for over 40 years and I grew up in Whittier so she was able to fill me in some of happenings going on in my beloved hometown. We reminisced about business of the past and about people we knew in common. Before we knew it 1/2 hour had past and we decided to hung up. Several hours later, the flowers were delivered to my Mother. First let me say, my Mother is an avid gardener, in fact her garden has been featured in several magazines in the past, so I would have to say, she really knows flowers. She was amazed at the bouquet...it literally took her breath away. She said it was the prettiest bouquet she has ever received. Well you must know by now that I am a fan of Whittier Blossom Shop and will always use them in the future...I strongly urge you to give them a try...you wont be disappointed. A note to the Carol...Thanks again for your attention to detail and for the lovely conversation...I hope our paths cross again soon!

My sis in Arizona sent my Mom a bouquet for her 90th Birthday. I am not sure of the cost, but I do know she was charged 12.50 for local delivery, I mean very local, which I think excessive. My complaint is the semi dead/brown splotched flowers in the center of the arrangement, it was like they were trying to hide them. Of course the answer was, the designer must of been distracted, not buying it when it is the designers business to make flower arrangements. Trying to hide them behind behind the Stargazer Lilies is most unsatisfactory. I think they felt someone 90 would not notice, but I am nosy and my 90 year old mom worked as a florist for a few years. We know where to look and I was looking. Of course the owner told me she just does not understand and how wonderful her reviews are. Maybe she needs to read yelp reviews. They did replace them with an arrangement that I have not checked out at this point, but mom told me this morning it is gorgeous. Will see. I honestly quit using this shop when one of their designer /managers left years ago and the shop went downhill. I gave a 2 star because they did replace them otherwise it would be a 1 star from me. I do not recommend this floral shop in Whittier and I am born and raised here as is my Mom

We received the location and information for my brother-in-law Roys funeral rather late the day before it was to be held. We live in Oregon, but the service was to be in Whittier. The first place I called in Whittier, the woman who answered seemed to not really want to help, and suggested I get back online to choose an arrangement, and call her "later." I had explained that the arrangements Id seen didnt really suit. I then called Carol at Whittier Blossom Shop. What an incredible experience! She was driving into the shop, and actually pulled over to take the time to speak to me, find out what I needed, made suggestions, took my payment information, and was just a truly lovely lady to speak with. She went above and beyond to make sure that the flowers we sent were perfect and really made the effort to compliment my late brother-in-laws personality and character with her arrangement. My sister-in-law was delighted by the flowers and said that Roy would have loved them. Carol also called to confirm the flowers had been delivered. I would highly recommend Carol and Whittier Blossom Shop. Shell take extraordinary care of you and your floral needs.

I have lived in Whittier since 1954. Through the years I have had the opportunity to not only send flowers for many occasions, but to be in charge of events that required the expertise of a florist. To my delight while planning my daughter’s wedding in 1997 I discovered the Whittier Blossom Shop. With the talent of Shira Bensimon, (owner/floral designer) the flowers for the wedding and reception were beyond anything I could have ever imagined. Since this time my family and I have used Whittier Blossom Shop for all of the important occasions in our lives. Today my mother-in-law is celebrating her 93rd birthday and she just received a beautiful floral creation designed by Shira. I ordered this arrangement over the phone and because Shira takes the time to know the likes and dislikes of her customers I had every confidence that it would be exactly what I wanted. Without hesitation I recommend Whittier Blossom Shop to anyone who is looking for a florist who goes above and beyond for every customer by making creative, unique, top quality floral designs. I just received late word that a long time family friends wife passed away and needed to make arrangements to send flowers since my family and I were unable to attend the funeral. I called early this morning and Carol answered the phone. She was so very helpful and kind. I knew it was last minute and I was only giving her 3 hours to deliver but, she did not allow that be a problem. She took all of my information over the phone and was able to do something that nobody has ever been able to do and that was being able to spell all of the unusual names in my family on the first go-around. Good ol fashioned customer service, dedication and professionalism is what I received this morning. Made me feel that I was in good hands, and because we couldnt make it to the funeral, also made me feel that somehow my friends family was going to be in good hands too.

Ive been a customer for the last twelve years and have happily recommended the Whittier Blossom Shop to friends and co-workers. Carols work is exceptional, with the most beautiful arrangements that last remarkably longer than Ive experienced at any other florist (all of which I quit using once I discovered this gem). When I received arrangements at my office, co-workers would remark on the artistic arrangements and stunning array of flowers and plants, often taking photos and sending not so subtle hints to boyfriends and husbands for future reference. I have been completely thrilled with every single arrangement Ive received and have received rave reviews from those to whom weve sent arrangements. This is our single source for flowers for any celebration. Beautiful work every single time!

All I can say is check out Yelp before you chose to rely on the reviews posted here. And specifically, check out the responses posted by the owner of the business. Her attitude tells the whole story. I never received flowers ordered by my husband on Valentine ’s Day. My husband never waits until the last minute for anything, so they were ordered well in advance. When he got home from work and realized they were never delivered, we called several times before we finally reached someone. They said the flowers were on their way. Around 2 hours later we called back and told them to just forget it. It was too late. We didn’t get any apology or offer to make it up. Nothing! Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Save your money and frustration by choosing another florest.
