I have been a loyal customer at Nordstrom Walnut Creek for the past 20 years. For most of this time I have enjoyed excellent customer service. Over the last year however I have had some very bad customer service experiences. I have encountered staff in the dress department that were not helpful and rude. When buying a dress its helpful to have someone assist in zipping up the back and checking to see if it fits right. Today one of the employees in the Point of View department moved my belongings from my dressing room to another dressing without my permission. Nordstorm is not hiring people of the same caliber as they did before and / or not training them the same way. I brought it up to the Assistant managers attention. I hope Nordstrom can maintain their historical standards.

We had good customer service when we were there but when I called I was a bit put off. My father needed a wheel chair to shop. He cannot walk more than a block. When I called to see if we could get a chair, I was told I needed to get one at customer service. I asked if they could bring one down to us and I was informed that normally it does not work that way. I guess they wanted my dad to fall on the way up and break a hip. Usually when one needs a chair, they cant make it to the freakin 2nd floor to get one on their own. I guess I could have left my dad--with Alzheimers-- to sit alone while I got one, but somehow that did not seem right. Kind of disappointed to say the least. We went. It all worked out. But I was pretty frustrated by the lack on concern.

On Saturday, I purchased a dress for my daughters wedding (wonderful experience) so next stop was to the shoe department. I wandered around looking at shoes, while waiting for someone to assist me There were two salesmen who spent quite a bit of time chatting with one another. I tried to make eye contact. They would occasionally approach some shoppers , ask if they needed help, say hello, then back to chatting. I couldnt figure out why they would speak to some potential customers and not others. I sat down and observed for a moment. I was finally approached by a different gentleman after maybe 20-25 minutes. He was very professional, but when he asked if I had been helped, I had to say no, briefly explained why and left, disappointed.

Incredible costumed service experience. My ray bans had a glass pop out so I went in expecting to have a simple fix, if that was even possible. I was informed they dont make that style anymore for the exact reason I had brought them in. The sales associate informed me that I might not get all of my money back for the pair that I brought in, but could offer me some compensation. I ended up getting a full refund for the broken pair and was able to replace them with new ones right off the display which she helped me pick and did a custom fitting. Her assistance and demeanor was extremely pleasant and professional. I did not catch her name, unfortunately, but I could not recommend someone more.

Im a normally a Nordstrom loyalist but this location suffers from lower than expected quality in products sold, poor store layout, and subpar customer service. This Nordstrom location falls short in the high end department. Although it does have luxury boutiques inside the store, its selection can be compared to Macys instead of Bloomies. The annual/ semi sales are horrible compared to NY/LA locations. Thè workers arent helpful and judge potential customers. Personally, I dont mind not being asked for help, but its unprofessional. The workers dont seem energetic or motivated in pushing secret sales. Its a far cry from service received at competing Luxury department stores.

I totally dislike shopping and I think Nordies and the rest are overpriced compared to other outlets. But, if you want great customer service, an upscale shopping experience, lots of selections, and sometimes decent deals, this place rocks. Walnut Creek outdid themselves upgrading the shopping experience. Nordstrom wasnt left out. The cafe at the top level is actually my favorite place and the pizza there is excellent. Ask for it "extra crispy" so you get that nice browned effect on the bottom. Makes the pizza even better. I prefer this place for a quick meal vs anything else to be honest.

Who hires the people working there- there God awful people rude thinks there better than everyone not helpful gossips about the customers I seen it -- not any way anyone deserves to be treated especially when spending good money!!!! HORRIBLE HIRE DECENT PEOPLE WHO ARE POLITE AND RESPECTFUL THE PERSON HIRING THESE PEOPLE WHO WORK HERE SHOULD BE FIRED I THINK HIS NAME IS MR. Whenever I have gone to a Nordstroms there has ALWAYS been such nice, respectful, and helpful people to assist me with whatever I may need. This particular one in Walnut Creek, CA has particularly rude and disrespectful employees. All I wanted was help in the shoe department and a nice smile; not attitude and judgement because I may not "look" like I can afford your items. Worst service I have ever had in my entire experience going at a Nordstroms.

Outstanding Customer Service from Nordstroms personal stylist. Her name is Ashley and I appreciate all the time she has taken to help me pick out a new wardrobe. She is fun and nice and I reccommend her services to anyone in need of a new look or just some new key pieces of clothing. This Nordstroms is very nice and clean and the entire mall it is in is nice as well. Thanks again for all your help Ashley and hopefully I see you soon. ❤

I recently received amazing customer service by Maria. She was extremely helpful in assisting with the purchase of some new suits and even brought some items in the dressing room that she thought I might like. I truly appreciate her customer service and will be going back to work with her in the future!

While shopping in the formal dress department, I decided to leave after twenty minutes. I was ignored by the sales representatives in the department. Not once during the time I was there did they even acknowledge me!! Very disappointed and I doubt I will ever go back to that location.

You can always count on Nordies for the best customer service! Even though Neimans opened nearby, you cant beat Nordstrom for value and quality. Valet parking a plus if you are too lazy to walk from the giant parking lots located nearby.

The atmosphere is pleasant, very accessible to shopping and places to eat Outdoor music on occasion, events holiday events .
