This review is for the Scion Sales and Finance Department. I read some of the reviews and I was a little hesitant, but most of the poor reviews seemed to stem from either service or Toyota (Camry/Corolla, etc) sales. Ive been looking for a 2014 Scion FR-S and finally decided to take the leap on buying one. Ive been eyeing one for about a year, so I know the car well. Local dealership did some shifty things, tried to sell me a 2013 even when I demonstrated knowledge of the difference between the two models and a firm commitment to the 2014 model. So I left the local, made some calls, and found Scion Vacaville had a 2014 AT FR-S in Whiteout/Pearl White on the lot, when I was told by the locals that it was sold. Dropped them a few calls, asked them to hold it for me, and came straight away from Elk Grove. We drove for an hour to get here, and it was well worth it. They had the specific car I wanted already waiting for me, all by itself by the side door, for my inspection. I walked up, eyeing the car and the staff already knew. They asked if I was the "FR-S guy" and since I had called 3 times that night, it wasnt surprising. 8 miles on the car (unlike the 167mi one the locals wanted to sell me) and pristine. Took it for a quick test drive, (brakes were still completely new), very satisfied and we started the paperwork. Everything went very smoothly, staff bent backwards for us (with a smile), yummy popcorn and decent coffee, got a great rate (3.09%) and they even conceded to not drilling holes for the front license plate. They detailed it, put in a full tank (completely full) of gas, and I drove it home 2 hours after arriving. I smiled when I saw the car last night, and I dont think Ive stopped smiling since. MAJOR MAJOR thanks and kudos to Erin for accompanying me on the test drive and quickly/smoothly getting all the paperwork set. She was a lot of fun, upbeat, and made the experience enjoyable. ALSO a huge shoutout to Todd Shaffer, Head Sales Manger (Sorry if I got your title wrong) who made everything work out in the end, and even fielded my three thousand calls personally. All the staff, from other salespersons to the receptionist were very friendly and personable. Ive been through 7 or 8 different car buying experiences and this was by far the shortest and most enjoyable one Ive ever had. College Graduate Rebate program helped things out too. I would recommend, over and over again.

BEWARE of AMMAAR MOTORS INC Toyota Vacaville I just wrote a review in Yelp. I dont care about the 4 $30 parts that they wont take back because its more than 30 days . I wrote it because this dealership continues to take advantage of their customers and I want to protect my fellow friends and neighbors of this wonderful city of Vacaville. Im writing this review because this is strike 3. Ive never had a problem with purchasing any of my vehicles. Its always been the Service Department. You always hear of the stories how mechanics take advantage of people and tell them that they need repairs and then find out later that they were ripped off. Well I was almost a victim of this myself. Because I had doubt based on some previous transactions with this dealership I decided to get a second opinion. I had purchased the parts from this dealership and may I also add that prices do vary from dealership to dealership) Each dealership has their own markup . It just so happen that the parts that they said that needed repair were not bad at all. Dealerships make their money by charging their customers outrageous labor. Another thing that just came to mind is to ask for your old parts back. I felt that I had built a rapport with this dealership so I at times let my guard down and let them do repairs to my vehicles without checking prices or getting second opinions. (Shame on me) I will state my complaint to Toyota Corporate, educate my friends and family, but never buy another vehicle from AMMAAR MOTORS INC Toyota Vacaville again. Ive just expressed the short version of my experience with this Vacaville Dealership . I have plenty more negative stories but hopefully one is fortunate to learn a lesson that I should have learned a long time ago. They are very shady.

I have bought three new cars in the past - Two Hondas and One Toyota. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a car dealership. This dealership is quite far from my place, about 1.5 hours away. I considered them because they seemed to have given me a very good price quote. I negotiated/confirmed the price over the email. I like to negotiate in advance so that no additional time is wasted at the dealership. Once I reached the dealership, since we had already negotiated the price, we started the credit application right away. These guys took all my personal information. One hour into the process, they told me that they had not included a TDA charge of $800!! I was furious as with that charge included there was no reason to buy from them and we had driven so far just thinking that we will save some money. Anyway, I didnt show my anger. I and my wife walked outside to talk about it. She calmed me down and convinced me to just buy as we wanted to get done with it. We went back to buy at the higher price (in less than 15 mins). At that time their A..H sales manager told us that the car is no longer on sale!! This had to be the biggest joke. We obviously left and bought our car from a different dealership. This time we did our research and read the online reviews before deciding where to buy the car from. Did not have any issues and bought at a lower price elsewhere. These guys are perfect example of bait and switch. These guys run the dealership as if they are the only dealership around and that they can do anything that they want (maybe thats actually true around Vacaville). Avoid these guys if you can. You will be happy that you did.

The service and rental department at this Toyota is a joke. Held my car for 3+ weeks because "Toyota" didnt have any replacement parts manufactured for a recal that was announce two month prior to me bringing the truck in. Every inquiry and request that I made to the service manager , within reason, was met with "were not Toyota, were just a franchise", "Toyota doesnt give us any information", or "we dont make these policies". Yet when I call the corporate office of Toyota, they tell me that it is up to the dealerships to determine how to handle customer service, rentals, and dealership policies. Absolutely no leaniancy, accountability, or even just plain service from this dealership. They gave me a rental car to use for 30 to 60 days, but failed to check to see that the car was only 250 miles away from 10,000 mile service. Had to go back and drop the rental car off during work hours to get the service done. When I looked in the glove box of the rental, I found the first/last name, home addresses, Phone #, and place of employment of the last three renters of this vehicle. I asked that they dont leave any of my identifying information in the car, but Im going to go do a follow up tomorrow because I have no trust in anyone who works there. If you just need a warm body behind a desk to change your oil, this place is probably fine (except for the Lyft service. I witnessed 3 or 4 people have their Lyfts cancel on them while waiting at the street corner. Not a good system). Any type of diagnostic, recall, no-routine, or any work that would require further interaction with a "service specialist", and youd better off going to your Cousin Eddie.
