Visiting Scraps in Truckee was just an amazing experience. It is so obvious from the time we walked in the door that it was their passion to create a loving and warm welcome and environment for all animal lovers! My mom and I were visiting from Reno and upon arrival met Mike and George, the resident pups, as sweet as can be! We also met Paulie the cat, where we interrupted his nap. There was also a most loving and beautiful kitty for adoption, that sadly was abandoned when his owner died and the owners of Scraps took them in and decided to foster him until he finds a forever loving home! Thank you, Scraps! for loving all creatures and sharing it with your customers! Ali McKnight

Apparently they moved down Donner Pass Rd. about 4 store-fronts recently, and they get a lot more traffic-- which is well deserved! We went there twice in two days, and each time the woman behind the counter was so friendly. The bakery items are adorable ("pupcakes" "grr-nola bars" "cannoli" etc). They also adopt cats out of the store, which gives you some insight into their dedication to animal welfare. Thats the kind of business I want to support! They also have food, beds, toys, treats, art work, etc.
