I want to start with the positive. There are a few people that work there (Newbury Park store) that are very friendly and helpful. One guy that works around electrical and locks area that will ho out of his way to help you. Same goes for a couple people that helped pull and load heavy blocks for retaining walls. Now the bad. The back wall where pvc pipes are kept always has piles of other product in front of them making it a pain getting them out. Theyve turned the Isle into a staging area for product they need to refill throughout the store. Another problem is they do not retrieve carts often enough. People end up using the marked off blue space between disabled parking spots as cart returns. Im not talking one or 2 carts that maybe the disabled person left, but many. I went one night and all the marked off areas had carts in it. These marked off areas are for vans with lifts. If something is there, they cant get out. I know it is customers fault for putting carts there, but they need to be retrieved more often. Maybe paint "no carts" in the blue areas.

2745 Teller Rd. in Newbury Park. - Terrible customer service. I went there to get some PVC, the worker that helped me had NO IDEA what 1/2 PVC was and I had to basically lead him to the PVC pipes and tell him which to grab. After that I asked him to cut the TEN FOOT length in half. "He said Ugh, I dont see a hack saw around...I guess I could get one" Since then, I decided not to go in and just call. BAD IDEA. I get put on hold for at least 10 minutes everytime until I get routed back to the operator. [YEA, I JUST CALLED AT 6:06 PM. 08/06/11 TO CHECK IF IT WAS A FLUKE, THE LAST 10 TIMES I CALLED, IT WASNT. ITS 6:22 PM AND IM STILL ON HOLD. THESE WORKERS ARE A JOKE] [UH OH ITS 6:27 AND IM STILL ON HOLD WHAT A SURPRISE!] Its like they dont know they work in a store that is barely organized and a total mystery to normal folks, some of them are great, others act like your asking them for money.

Customer service is horrible. Knowledge of staff is below par. I was approached by a salesman from Solar City while I was in the paint department. I kindly told the rep I was not interested and yet he continued to hassle me about the advantages of solar. Home Depot really needs to look at their policy of having outside vendors approaching their customers. I new Lowes opened recently though it is 10 minutes further away the service is worth the extra time. This would be a review of the Camarillo location.

I tried to get a key made from a lock set I bought at the store. Im not exaggerating, it took four different trips before the 1 or 2 people who were trained, were available. Management should have at least 1 person who can make keys available during all store hours. Preferably 2 as I had to wait 45 minutes to get a key made while the one trained guy finished his lunch break! OSH on Arboles is a much better experience. It will cost a little more but in store help is everywhere!

Absolutely terrible customer service. Christina was extremely rude and inconsiderate. Made us wait and claimed she couldnt see us standing in line. Was confused by the whole return process and should not be working front desk. Update: got home and checked my receipt and she charged me for 3 items I didnt purchase. She was so busy being rude that she couldnt do her job. When I asked for clarification on the transaction she said there werent any mistakes. Guess she cant be trusted.

Unbelievably unknowledgeable personnel. I have been going to this location for two years now, while building my house. Only because the location is convenient. Every time I attempt to ask for assistance or advice I am baffled how little or no knowledge the staff has about building and construction. Today i walked out after one of the staff members tried to convince me that screws for "any non structural project" means I can use them for my structural project! IRRESPONSIBLE!!!

Had a store pickup order. After 10 days, got a call that the item from the order is broken, and if I still want the broken piece!!!. I asked for a re-order since I had got a sale price for that item, then the call was dropped before the completion of the re-order and they never bothered to call me back. I sent an email to followup yesterday and today, they are responding that the item is OOS! Very lame and unprofessional customer service handling

7/15/2015 - While I agree with another reviewer that the service is sometimes below par, this is not the case with Kevin in Appliances. He is highly professional and greatly helped us with the buying process of a refrigerator, and then later with a washer & dryer. His product knowledge and friendly service was quite refreshing. If you need appliances, go see Kevin at the Newbury Park Home Depot! They also have free appliance delivery.

If skill is the cornerstone of American labor, then the hiring practices at this location hang their hats on the tent poles of what this circus is. Nothing but show clowns in this store. At best a sideshow selling cotton candied replicas of real skill wrapped in the sizzling bacon wrapped lard of laziness and the sugarcoating of employees pretending to be the tool times of yesteryear.

Located in Newbury Park in southern California. My visit was great, I came to buy a few things for my carnivorous plant terrarium and the staff was amazingly prompt in helping me find all the things I needed. Very large selection and amazing customer service, although they did not have live cultivars of certain plants, they still have wide variety of most anything you may need!

Geez, only the HD haters write reviews. I find this store to have reasonable customer service the majority of the time. It also has a good selection of products, a broad range of tools with quality going from budget Harbor Freight competition to best-in-class, and a respectable selection of plants in a covered outdoor area.

The Home Depot employee who helped us the most was Eddie Martin as we were trying to pick out a new faucet for our kitchen sink. He was extremely helpful, courteous & knowledgeable about the different brands & was very patient as we figured out which one we wanted. Kudos to Eddie Martin!

Got up to pay for my paint and it was $10 more per gallon. Went back to the paint guy and got the paint that was less. The paint guy should have asked what one I wanted in the first place to save my time and their money. Now they have 3 mixed gallons of paint they cant use.

Pro desk has horrible service. the only one that helps is Ray. Everytime I come in and get stuff they are always talking to each other and not helping customers. Ray goes above and beyond to make you feel like a real customer. Thats the only reason I come in

Customer service needs to be taught here. Apparently its not standard equipment. Dont come here if you dont want to end up waiting on an associate for more than 30 minutes because they cant prioritize their work in the order it was received.
