I dont love this place but I tolerate it as it balances out the over-priced shopping one experiences at Whole Foods. Theres an annoying level of racial profiling with the undercovers or LPs or whatever theyre called. Dont know if they intentionally make their presence known, but on that note alone Im downgrading what I initially had at four stars down to three. Anyones experience at an establishment is beyond the goods or services provided; its the treatment one receives or perceives. If it werent for the convenience of the location and ample parking, Id opt for Trader Joes further down - but the parking there is atrocious... dont know how people put up with it but it is bad enough where someone posted on Nextdoor the arrogance of people who cant seem to manage the stress created by that shared lot space. Odd tangent but the average person wont find much to hate about this place. I come from a unique perspective that isnt experienced by most others from what I see in my regular visits.

Ive had great experiences with this location. The employees are friendly and eager to help me find odd things. I dont get the usual sense that they hate their job and are working for minimum wage. The price point is very nice for something comparable to Whole Foods, in my opinion. Unfortunately, they do not carry a number of national brands (which Im sure keeps the price down), so you may need to hop over to the Safeway or CVS nearby. Produce: both conventional and organic selections look healthy and generally blemish free Frozen: a nice selection of vegetarian, vegan, and organic varieties, but common items are difficult to find Dairy: typical selection, although they have fat free coffee creamers, but no sugar free selection... Bulk foods: probably my favorite part of the store

Fresh foods are what Sprouts does best. The produce is fresh and good, but the quality of the meat is amazing! Imagine ground beef thats as flavorful as steak from a chain grocery, so lean that theres hardly any fat, and is still reasonably priced. The quality of the chicken was just as high. My husband and I were shocked at the checkout line -- fresh meat and produce for an entire week at less than half the price of what we expected to spend. Sprouts has a nice selection dry and canned goods as well, although its not vast. You *wont* find mega-brands and rows of shelves selling processed snacks and soft drinks. All the better! Oh, and bring your own shopping bags -- Sprouts gives a discount for each one you use. Its like having coupons every week.

Sprouts inhabits a retail space that lies between Trader Joes and Whole Foods but, except for the produce section, with a disturbing emphasis on highly processed food. When you check the labels, even for organics, youll see a lot of sugar/salt/fat, tiny portions and high prices. Produce looks good - fresher and in better condition than competitors - most of the time. Ironically, for one of the most diverse areas in Silicon Valley, with plenty of young and immigrant shoppers, in-store music sounds as though they expect (late) graying boomers. Frankly, the music is cringe-worthy and the store would do better with silence. Or, they could walk across the street and check Trader Joes music, which is better. Sprouts has great and easy parking.

OPEN MORE CHECKOUT STANDS! I have been to Sprouts four times. I love their specials (some of which I found much cheaper than Trader Joes (cheese, bread, pears and walnuts). Their employees are great and the store is wonderfully clean and has an open feeling BUT, at 8:30, people are trying to buy their lunch and get to work; at 12:30 people are trying to get their foods before they have to pick their kids up from school; at 5pm people just want to go home, and the weekends are not meant for standing in line endlessly. PLEASE, OPEN MORE CHECKOUT STANDS!

Sprouts has fresh produce, seafood, meats and reasonable prices. They have weekly sales that are awesome and a bulk section with everything from rice and granola to nuts and beans by the pound. Even though I am not vegetarian or vegan, I appreciate their large selection of meat substitutes/alternatives as well as dairy free milks/cheeses/yogurts/ice creams/etc. Their beauty and wellness section has a huge variety of vitamins/supplements as well as natural beauty products. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Love the fact that it is round the corner from TJs, there are things to buy at both places. Anon, dont know where you are from but parking is OK. Guess walking more than 50 feet can be tough but it is definitely HEALTHY :-) and usually it wont be more than 100 yards. Food selection is very good, somewhere between TJs and Whole Foods, pricing too. Check Sprouts for specials, they might be worth an extra trip. We welcome Sprouts to our neighborhood! Rating only 4 stars because pricing is reasonable but not great.

I am unimpressed. Mediocre produce. The one time I bought fish, when I got home I found that it was old and stank . They do have a blueberry-flax granola I like a lot. Generally friendly and helpful staff. A depressing lot of their bulk stuff is candy. I like bulk spices, but the staff doesnt know spices and herbs and doesnt care, so what you get may not be what is labeled - Ive found mistakes on more than one occasion. Dont go out of your way to shop here.

This location was recently remodeled and looks very nice inside. There is a great selection of produce and a decent selection of general grocery items. They wont have a ton of some big name brands you may be used to seeing, but they will have what you need. They have a nice cheese selection as well as a good amount of bulk food items. Great option for when you want to choose the amount you buy. Employees are helpful and have always been friendly when Im there.

Although I think it is a chain, this is the only Sprouts location I have encountered. Unlike other groceries, the focus here is clearly on fresh produce. 75% of the store is dedicated to fruit, vegetables, nuts, and other such items. The selection is generally quite fresh. This location is usually busy but not too crowded. The staff are friendly, but not always available. Despite this, shopping here was such a refreshing change I must give it 5 stars.

Staff is generally friendly and helpful here, which is good, since its not always easy to find what you are looking for without a little guidance. More organic than Safeway, but less expensive than Whole Foods. Mainstream selection is smaller than both, but they do have quite an assortment of health foods and supplies. Parking is a bit cramped and feels strangely awkward, but that doesnt detract from the store.

Well-priced fruit and vegetable market that also offers bulk spices and other items. Much larger than the size of the store lets on from the outside! They seem to carry many brands you dont commonly find elsewhere, including many obscure, local or regional items (such as fruit preserves from San Diego). Ice cream connoisseurs will delight in the vast array of frozen goodies available here.

Good place to get produce. However, you have to eat it quickly because its pretty ripe in the store and will go bad quickly if you arent careful. The meat department here is also good. You can find things here you cant in other grocery stores. By far the best part about this place is the bulk food section. Its HUGE and the prices are really good. They have everything.
