The owner of this outlet is a CLOSET BIGOT and a RACIST he accussed me of shop lifting and his son pulled a gun on me, all because I look and act diffrent then him. I have lived in hayward all my life. I lived by this grocery outlet for about 30 years and my family and I have been shopping here off since. I been shopping at this location since when it was once called Rainbow. I have never had a problem shopping there, untill today. I was in a hurry and was in and out of this place without buying anything, because I didnt find the item I was looking for. So the owner thought I had stole something. He comforted me and and me a f#€£!/g spic, I asked him why he called me that, he said because "you aCT like one". His son seen us arguing, so his son gets out of his car and next thing I know he pulls out a gun on me. I told him I didnt steal anything I even told him he can search me he said i dont want to touch you". I pulled up my shirt and showed him what I could, to try and prove to him that I didnt steal anything he didnt care. He continued harassing me, and his son kept telling me that he was going to shoot me... So shop here at your own risk, but beware for the BIGOR IN PLANE SIGHT.

Grocery Outlet is the best store in the entire US as far as Im concerned. The Midwest has Aldis but even they dont measure up to Grocery Outlet. GO has organic foods, health supplements(including inexpensive protein), great deals on kitchen countertop appliances/cookware, great deals on useful electronics, always inexpensive cellphone accessories, and everything else a grocery store has. Because they thrive on overstock from other stores, the selection depends on what they can get. But, whatever they have, youre usually going to get a great deal thats more than just 10 or 15% off. For those that like chocolate or wine, theres a huge selection for that, and, for those that buy protein, theres a large selection of different proteins and energy supplements. Youre not going to find everything you need at Grocery Outlet, but Im happy to save money on the things they do carry.

I worked here from March to November 2016 and let me tell you at first it was very cool. The owners were cool and everything seemed fine. But then promoting prior that were totally NOT deserving of the position and forced me to go elsewhere for employment. Im happy where Im at now. They dont pay fair even though we busted our asses for their company. They dont give raises and I heard they are switching owners. Couldnt come at a better time. Hopefully the new owners will be good to their employees. The store is however well stocked and have some good employees. Oh yeah one more thing the assistant manager is all of nineteen years old and drinks on the job. And I have proof just saying.

Theres so many bargains here. The fresh fruit, veggies and meat selections are good only if you eat it within 2-days. After that, I wouldnt recommend eating it. Otherwise, theres plenty of frozen and can goods that will last about 6-12 months long. Good bargains if its there. Good brands.

Always like going here for deals. I was told to always check the expiration dates when shopping here. However, it is very rare that I see something with a close date. It is always clean and has good music playing.

I like a good deal and a treasure hunt and this place has both. You cant rely on finding the same item every time you go in, but it causes you to be more product aware and not brand aware, which is a good thing.

Very nicely laid out store. The prices are outstanding and the customer service was great. I didnt give five stars because I really needed cat food but their pet food selection was extremely limited.

Nice little grocery store, I dont come here to often, mainly cause they dont have a large selection of products like you would find at other grocery stores. But they do have good prices.

Prices and selections are very good but if you see something special that you like you had better buy lots because once things are gone they usually dont come back.
