I dont know what those other reviews were about, but Luckys in Castro Valley is my store. I get great customer service, and usually what I am looking for is there. I go to Luckys every other day. Other than one or two people, everyone in that store are courteous, and respectful. From management to whomever...... When I cant go to the store, and my husband goes for me, I am insistent about him going to Luckys. Not that dang Safeways across the street. I AM A HAPPY, AND LOYAL LUCKYS CASTRO VALLEY CUSTOMER. DONT HATE....CONGRATULATE (LOL)

Because they Respect my Mama The Singing Waitress On our last visit to Luckys Castro Valley Mama had a Diabetic Episode. Her legs gave out. One kind Lady Employee held Mama up while I ran in the back to find a chair. A chair was found and then a Electric Shopping Cart which she had never tried before. Needless to say a very nice young man helped her get her groove on. Thank you Lucky Employees for helping Chris The Singing Waitress in her time of need.

The staff here is so friendly and with great pricing it makes a visit here a no-brainer. Just tried the bbq ribs that they make there last night, so good! We always get a rotisserie chicken to grub and make chicken soup out of. The deli has great salads and pastas. Check this place out! Best one around!

Me and my girlfriend go grocery shopping here every Friday after a few beers at Krayons & grabbing a burrito from El Burrito Loco. The store is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful prices could be better. Still havent found a grocery store that beats food maxxs prices, but Luckys is 2nd best.

Good prices, good service, good selection, good deli. Hamburger clean and safe - goes on sale about 8pm daily to start fresh daily. Decor is less modern than some stores. Several types of carts for people with disabilities. Bank of America Versateller.

Ive been avoiding Safeway because Safeway does not seem to care that they never have enough cashiers working. Lucky doesnt seem to have their problem and their prices are comparable. Dont ever go to Safeway if theres a Lucky nearby.

We live just a few minutes away and shop there almost everyday. Cashiers, Charles and Catherine especially are so knowledgeable and friendly. And Ted, who does most of the outside barbecuing, is awesome and Friendly as well.

Go here quite a bit for family grocery shopping. Prices arent great for all items, and their stock can be limited at times. Still very easy to get in and out for basic items, and the staff is all very friendly.

My moms favorite Luckys in Castro Valley. Fast friendly service and the staff has been there for a very long time. They know my mom quite well. If we need something ordered the usually get it done.

Many things are overpriced, however the cashiers are kind. Wish that they have more checkout lines open , as many at times there is a relatively long line. Also no self checkout available.
