I shop here more than anywhere else. Its clean, pleasant, and the food selection is good. If you are not going for specifically Korean food, you will find Ranch99 more diverse, but this is one of the few places that you can find all the specifically Korean things. Its a more upscale market than Kyo-Po and has a lot of convenience foods; it has a younger, more affluent clientele. If youre not Korean, you can expect to be ignored by the Korean staff, but the Hispanic staff who deal with the produce and fish are always pleasant and friendly. Food demos on Fri-Sat-Sun are fun, and you can learn a lot asking questions of the vendors, some of whom make a living traveling the Korean Market Circuit. My favorite is the cookie people who come from Texas and get to Hankook every 6 months. There arent any bargains here, outside of the discounts on the weekends. Watch the pull dates on things - they dont monitor the shelves very well. Weekend parking is a nightmare - shop early or late if you must shop then. But its still not as bad as Ranch 99, which is worse than a demolition derby.

If you love Korean food and Korean goods then this is one of the better places to get them. Like many Asian markets it has a few smaller shops collected (theres actually a clothing store, a shoe shop, a cellphone shop, and even a small appliance shop in the store) at one end of the store making it something like a supermarket meets a department store. Love cooking Korean food? Plenty of fresh, canned, and dried ingredients here! Love eating the food, but dont love cooking it? Plenty of instant meals as well as an actual food counter and an actual bonchon bar where you can buy side dishes by the pound!

I really like this Korean supermarket. It has Korea receipt, Japanese food and some quick bites snacks. I come here to get the gouqi (red seeds) and the Sha-Bu thick cut lamb/beef/pork to make Hotpot at home. We got around **$ meat and friends like the meat taste. And if you are thinking, "ah I want try make Korea food, " and come here, you will get most of the small stuff you dont expect to get even online. Good value for 5stars. Bad service (as always in Asia market) for one less star.

My friend told me about this place and Im hardly ever in San Jose. So i was in the area and decided to stop by. It was near closing time so their self serve pre cooked and pre marinated meats selection was getting pretty slim. I have to say that the fruits and vegetables section was very nice and clean. There want mitch of a freezer section and i was looking for ice coffee that i doesnt find. Good selection and bright clean store makes shopping here very easy.

The supermarket is spacious compared to some other Asian supermarkets and its brightly lit, which makes the experience quite pleasant. They have a great range of products and almost always have some good deals. Its my go to place to get Korean grocery. If you want to avoid crowds, go at weekdays evenings. Sunday around 1pm tends to be packed because of after-church crowds. Minus one star because the background music is often too loud.

I travel quite a bit for work so I venture into a lot of Korean food that I would crave when Im back state side so when I crave for those food this is the store I go to find them. They have everything from Soju to meats and produce etc. you have to come experience it!

Surprisingly clean and new, especially since Im coming from the typical supermarkets of San Jose. Its very welcoming, and the shops in the back of the store are worth checking out. Im not so sure about having food unattended and uncovered in trays for people to grab, though. The lines seemed ok for the middle of the day, and Id definitely come here again.

Clean store, normally priced produced compared to other stores, but let me state this in CAPS, BEST PEACHES you can buy!!!! I usually buy 10ibs of their peaches because they are hand selected for optimal crunch and sweetness. The juices travel through your tongue as you bite into a little piece of heaven and ponder the greatness of mother earth.

Good selection of fresh produce as well as imported Korean packaged food. The side dish section is also nice. They often have samples that they cook right there in the store, so you can try some stuff before you buy, which is nice. The store is pretty clean, definitely cleaner than Ranch 99, so I like buying fish/meat and vegetables here.

If you are looking for some Korean sauce spices ready to cook food... this is the place to go! The store is big and clean there are so many choices in fruits and veggies. Little bit more expensive than 99 ranch but it worth it! The staff is friendly and polite and make no difference between white and Asian customers (unlike 99ranch)

Tip: As one of my favorite ethnic supermarkets in the Bay Area, Hankook offers everything you need to make a Korean feast of your own. Buy as much or as little as you like of the banchan (kim chee, bean sprouts, dried seafood) or pre-marinated BBQ meats and look for the Kurobata pork slices for your own grill action.

Best spot for Korean groceries -- my family comes here to get things we cant get elsewhere and for the fresh products that they have in their deli area. They also have little shops inside that sell clothing, stationery, and other random gifts. The place is clean and the plaza also houses other restaurants and shops.

한국인의 입맛에 맞는 식품이 많아 이곳에 가면 한국에 사는 기분이 들어 좋습니다. 식자재도 싱싱하고 가격도 저렴해서 자주 들리고 싶은 마켓입니다.

Just your average Korean super market with by the pound banchan for sale at reasonable prices. Place has an inner bakery among other inner shops. They also sell marinated meats pre packaged. Get your Korean goods here or h Mart. H Mart is newer so this place feels aged in comparison.

Good place to do Korean grocery shopping. The selection is great, but we still have to go to both Hankook Supermarket, and Galleria Supermarket (another Korean grocery shop near by), because they dont always carry the same items. Parking can be challenging on weekends.

한국 사람으로써 반가운 식료품이 많아 좋았고 가격도 한국과 같다는 느낌이 들었다 그리고 직원분들도 친철하게 웃으며 즐겁게 일하는 모습이 좋았다

Huge Korean style supermarket with all the Cass, Hite, and OB beer youd find in Seoul. Their self-boxed sides section with dozens of Korean side dishes go well with all their marinated KBBQ meats. This is one of the best Asian supermarkets in the south bay.

A pretty extensive supermarket, with all the trimmings you might expect from a Korean store - from bowls to fresh produce to little shops in the back that make Wang Mandoo, youll find everything you need here. Its our go-to market for Korean supplies!

Perhaps the overall best Korean market in the bay area. However very very underwhelming, below average, when comparing to Korean markets in Orange county or los Angeles county. This is sad. Gets crowded during peak hours inside and in the parking lot.
