The cashier in the Express lane (counter 6) is not very friendly and helpful. I went to buy groceries and by honest mistake I went to the express lane. I was in a hurry and did not see the express lane sign. She did not say anything while I was putting all the groceries in the counter and when I was done, she finally said Maam this is the express lane. I apologized and said "Im so sorry I did not see the sign. And asked "do you want me to move?" She did not offer to help me at all so I decided to pick up all my stuf and move to the next counter. She even pointed up and said, "theres a big sign up there." So rude! Did she even think I would go to her lane if I read it? Very poor customer service!!

I love this little Safeway. It is not as big as a regular Safeway and doesnt have all the same hot foods but the customer service here is very good. I look forward to my early morning shop that I usually do every other week. They have a private parking lot and a red box. A coin star and a customer service booth Im assuming they do money grams and stuff. All In all this is my family grocery store in Palo Alto

So I went to this Safeway since its near work and I had to grab last minute cupcakes and balloons for my coworkers birthday. Unfortunately this location doesnt have a bakery but they do have balloons. The balloons here are a bit pricey, about $15 for the big cupcake balloon and $10 for a large balloon with the happy birthday message on it. I usually like Safeways but this one was disappointing.

Parking is horrible. My car got side-swiped and no cameras in parking lot. For a small store, the displays in aisles make getting your cart through impossible! So stupid to make customers fight the junk to get through, wait forever in line, and then take no responsibility for what happens in their parking lot. Mixed results dealing with cashiers. Each time I go, I swear it will be my last.

one of my most memorable experience about visiting this safeway is the wait time, and the lack of registers active such that running in quickly and grabbing something quickly can take a while, and basically isnt possible sometimes but the staff is nice, and patient, and they dont rush you at the register, i think there is a lot of turnover here, but yeah...the wait time...

This is an average older-smaller Safeway, without the kind of high-grade gourmet offerings down the street at Piazzas or indeed at the new Safeways out in places like Danville. The cashiers are slow (and the lines long at times), the deli counter types are slow and very English-challenged if well-meaning.

I go to this Safeway all the time. A good big supermarket. The only complaint I have is that it is very short-staffed both at the checkout and in the aisles. Not the "may I help you" Safeway of the recent past before it was bought out by another large chain - Albertsons I think.

Worst Safeway in the area. From the long lines to the terrible parking situation to the incompetent pharmacy staff, you really have no reason to come here - just go to any other Safeway/pharmacy and save yourself the trouble. Theres a reason this place has such a low rating.

Lines to checkout always seem to stretch back into shopping aisles, because they only ever have two checkout lines open. If they do begrudgingly open a third, its a free for all with no effort made to give priority to people waiting in line first. Very frustrating every time.

Great Store! My favorite Safeway for miles around because I dont have to walk a mile inside the store to get from fruits to bread. It has everything basic that I want on a weekly basis. I shop here twice a week.

Its a small store so they have to limit the items they carry. Most items they will have one or two brands. Anything out of the ordinary youll have to go elsewhere. But they are fine for my day-to-day needs.

This Safeway had FIVE LONG LINES AND DID NOT CALL ANY OTHER CHECKERS. IT TOOK ME LONGER TO STAND IN LINE THAN IT DID TO SHOP AND PICK UP WHAT I WANTED TO BUY.
