I would like to reply to the previous review, which is partly inaccurate. This store does have sales. Every week there is a new weekly ad that is about 10 pages and it does have lots of sale items. Ive compared sales ads of local supermarkets and sales prices are very reasonable at Lucky. Many items are even cheaper than Safeway. Yes, there was a name change, but the employees are the same. If you have any complaints please ask to speak to a manager. The store cannot improve unless they get feedback. If you dont get a response, then complain to the corporate office. The new company that runs the store is a family owned grocery chain that is very good at customer service. I think that we need to give this company a chance to improve themselves. They recently took over management of these stores. Please do inform them how they can serve you better.

I have only gone here for lunch, although their everyday sales are not usually worth the trip either! Last time I ordered a turkey sandwhich with avocado, they left off the avocado, leaving me with the same sandwhich I could have picked up in the pre-made section, only I got to pay 2 dollars more! Not to mention the quality of the bread/lettuce was that of a 7-11 sandwich, the lettuce was inedible and she made it right before my eyes. Earlier trips I have made have left me frustrated as well, customer service seems to be non-existent in this store. I am not high-maintenance, I just want to make my purchase and leave, which can be tough when the self-registers are broken and you need assistance (again with the non-existant customer service). All in all, I wont be back to this store. Ever.

I appreciate that the Sunnyvale Square Shopping center was updated recently, but mostly that this store is open late and always has friendly employees. The afternoon / evening GM is a great guy and it is not uncommon to hear him harmonizing in the aisles. Its worth while to note that if you get there after 11 PM the right-side door will be lock and blocked, its better to park on the Left side if youre coming by late. This store is only open until 1 AM, which is usually sufficient for most people. It is not odd to see the store busy after midnight. Ive never seen the shelves low on stock, they do a great job. One nice thing about this store is that it carries items that you cant find at the Safeway on El Camino (In particular a larger selection of Tillamook products)

This store has gone downhill significantly since it was renamed Lucky (from Albertsons). While never a stunning large store, it was still a decent place to shop, with reasonable prices and an adequate selection. Now, however, there are no "sale" prices (it is much pricier than Safeway), and the store is constantly dirty. Parked in front of the store are panhandlers of all types who accost you on your way in...they tend to congregate under the sign that specifically says they shouldnt be doing that at that location, yet theyre ignored by store management. Ill drive several miles out of my way to go to another store.

Horrible, rude, confrontational and insulting large Hispanic female supervisor that wear red glasses that informs customers that she finishes and her shift at midnight if they got any issues with her not giving any Marlboro contracted with luckys store discounts because she says so and thats final. She informs me. This same women is a nightmare each day night I enter Lucky. I will no longer give luckys my business upon confirmation of this women on shift any future nights Intend too shop there.

I am surprised to the negative comments on the store, though i ant say it was excellent i feel it is a pretty decent and competitive priced (though I visited only during Feb 2010, but nearly everyday in that month), I felt it was good, I always find fresh vegetables, Though I can comment about food there since I have not even taken a sandwich, But I feel it is pretty good for a home shopper. The visits are pleasant due to friendly staff. I would rate them one of the best

Stopped going here when I was recovering from mobility problems because they JUST. WILL. NOT. charge the electric carts. Pointed out several times that accessibility that leaves me stranded in the far corner of the store is not really accessibility; got shrugs. They keep the carts in this little nook behind a display -- dont get me started -- that I needed help to even get to. And then the carts batteries consistently ran out. Every time. Over a period of weeks...

This is a good neighborhood grocery store. They lack the selection of most of the local Safeways overall but have a good selection of international food and meal components. Their packaged food selection is generally very good, but their meat and veg/fruit selection is pretty hit or miss depending on if you go on a day when theyve recieved a delivery. The staff is super friendly and always offer to help you to your car.

Store is undersized to offer anything unusual. Fruit is not checked and often has already started toward becoming wine. Deli has already sliced limited choice of meat and cheese. They have upgraded from the house name to a known supplier. Bakery is a half hearted try. This is the only full grocery store in the area. Staff are not well versed in food, they could be selling any product.

This is a practical place to buy groceries at late time (lucky shop), take a coffee in Starbucks, or have a quick lunch in some of the fast food places (Pizza Hot, Kentucky, and other), They has a other services like beauty salon and dry cleaner. Perhaps the best part is that the parking lot is big enough so I never has trouble to park. Unfortunately, there is nothing for children

One of the better grocery/supermarkets around in the 94085/6 area. I had frequented this store for 2 years and dont remember having any complaints. Conveniently located, huge selection of items, good quality products and a friendly staff are a definite plus. Would have been 5/5, had the prices been a bit lower! But overall, always a good experience visiting this store.

Convenient location, open 24 hours. I generally stop late at night so parking is never a problem. Even late at night there is staff available to help. They have a small refrigerated section of tofu and meat substitutes in the produce area. And they have a surprisingly large selection of Burts Bees products hidden away near the dairy department.

Cashiers are rude and uninformative, made us wait through line multiple times because their registers "cant scan our items". Ive worked service industry before to know thats some grade A bull****. Average time to check a customer out is way too long. Theread are too many other grocery stores out there to waste my time at this one.

Isnt Lucky the cheap version of Safeway? They have a bit of everything and youre guaranteed to fulfill your grocery needs here. I do like the hot food section better at Safeway, also Lucky doesnt have soups or sushi to offer. Other than that, this store is pretty clean and well sorted. Decent choice when youre in the neighborhood.

Outdated and not the cleanest, but the market is very convenient to get to for me, so sometimes this wins over making a trip to Safeway. The parking lot for this place is always crazy. Mostly, getting in and out of the complex is an ordeal with lots of crazy bad drivers.
