I have many, many Apple products and have since my first Apple Mac. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars on Apple products. I love them. BUT I HATE THE PHONE MAZE ANY TIME I CALL FOR HELP. The store isnt bad, in my experience, but the phone cannot be used to get anything you want from Apple, unless is it one of the top issue they have automated in their phone system. Apple has made it impossible for me to call the store and ask a simple question. It routes me in a mindless phone tree, back and forth, over and over, and refuses to let me speak with someone unless I enter serial numbers of computers, etc. I didnt have the computer available, so I couldnt. I wanted to ask a simple question: How much to replace a failed hard drive in a MacBook Pro? Apple Care wont let me talk to them without a serial number! This is the worst treatment of key customers Ive had in decades. This set of reviews is full of people with the same issue. Apple better get it together and realize that PEOPLE are more important than the computer/phone/ipad/etc. Put some effort into the people, Apple, before you lose the advantage you have.

Apple was once the greatest company on the planet. Unfortunately that time has passed along with Steve Jobs. Truly a shame that they are turning this once great company into a corporate piece of crap like the rest. Having been a customer since day 1 of the iphone being released and having no less than a dozen apple devices to my name I have been here for the whole journey and I must say the perspective really sucks and let me tell you why. The customer service was what set this company apart from the rest as much as the devices themselves. For about the first four years I was happy to pay a lot of money for my devices because along with the hassle free customer service I felt that I was getting my moneys worth. This in turn made me want to buy more. Now dealing with Apple is a hassle to say the least they charge for everything they can, make you jump thru a bunch of hoops to get anything done and generally treat you like sheep. It is clear Apple is trying to make up for it lack of creativity by pinching pennies everywhere they can. Sad to watch, Steve Jobs rest in peace.

after 10+ year as an apple freak, starting with a g3 desktop Ive hit he end of road with what once a top notch company. QUALITY AND SUPPORT OF THIS BLOODSUCKING CORP IS AT ALL TIME LOW. my brand new i7 (just 17 days old) home button, the only uncovered piece(by any phone case ever made) broke after falling less than a foot onto a tupperware lid. mind you i have a plexiglass cover and military rated drop case, no joke! and of course the self proclaimed geniuss at the bar are unwilling as was corporate to help me out with a warrantied repair. not sure how a 700$ product can be as fragile as a champagne flute. long story short Im willing to pay my insurance cost, sell it at a loss and buy an android or samsung 8 just to not vote for these jerks with my dollar! as well i will never spend another cent on iTunes, apple or any affiliated product. YES i did drop it to be fair but if that is the quality i get for my money and flat out zero support. that apple has fallen far from this tree!!! just fyi this is my phone and my 5 year old 4s that Im obviously very hard on!!!

The genius bar had me waiting 1 hour to get a "tech" to tell me my computer was not under warranty and although they didnt know what was wrong with it they wanted me to commit to spending $600 to replace the keyboard and cover, as they thought it was a short somewhere, but were pretty sure it was water damage. I explained it had been overheating prior to my bringing it in. I commented on being kept waiting an hour and he said he was sorry but its been really busy. Why have online appointment making if you have to sit and wait anyway? Many customers left without help. Many customers were sold classes and products they didnt need. This store is horrid and I likely wont be buying apple products in the future since that is the place that fixes them when things go wrong. Not setting foot in there again. I miss the Apple store in Boulder. Punctual and knowledgeable, vs rude and arrogant. Not the customer service Im used to.

I took my Mac Book Pro to the Genius bar in Santa Rosa Plaza for diagnosis, I was kept waiting half an hour, after I inquired as to what was happening a guy showed up and when I started explaining the problem he told me to be quick as he only had 15 minutes. He then said he needed to take it in the back. He came back with pictures and said it was water and food damaged, the boards were fried and it was beyond repair but he could recommend a data recovery firm I took it home and took the back off, guess what not a bit like the pictures he showed me!! I took it to an authorized Apple repair store, problem bad hard drive, replaced ,works fine. I guess they are just trying to sell new hardware or don’t employ competent trustworthy people! I searched on all Apple sites for a contact to tell them about this, I guess they limit negative feedback by not having any place to report an issue to management.

Worst customer service experience I have encountered at any store - I have never left this location feeling good about my visit. Genius Bar always overbooks appointments and is woefully understaffed. When you finally do get seen, the "geniuses" rarely are capable of providing direct answers to product issues. Corporate-drafted scripts will be recited to you, regardless of situation, and the "solution" will be to have you leave and return at a later date after the issue persists (which of course it will because nothing was done to address it). Maybe, after several visits, someone will actually appear who can solve the problem. Products themselves are generally of good quality to where, thankfully, youre hardly ever required to go in to the store. Nevertheless, nobody at this abysmally managed store shows any regard for a customers time.

I normally agree with the negative reviews that the Apple stores in general receive. However, my mind was tremendouly changed with the 2 visits I had at the Santa Rosa store last week. I first went with a friend and we got fantastic help from Janal Freeman and Kiauna Philips in both purchaseing and setting up the computer and ipad. They were both patient, knowledgeable, friendly and overall helpful. My next visit was for my own computer/ipad issue. I felt very well taken care of at the genius bar and got my problems solved. I was thanked for my patience due to the busyness of the counter, which I found extraordinary. Thank you Steve Brown for you patience and knowledge. I will definetly go back there.

Im an old guy. I dont understand all of the functions on this phone so I called to ask a simple question. The question is " how can I tell if my phone sent a picture to an email address" ? The stores voicemail is stupid ( like all voicemail) and there are no correct questions from which to choose. Then I said customer support. I was transferred to some teenager, who started "verifying " my account. He is asking questions that I have no idea how to answer. He is also reading from a script. I still dont know the answer to my question, but Im sure as hell never going to bother calling this store again. I can go downtown and ask the first teenager I see and they will tell me the answer. Apple store can F.O.
