Auto One had the best used car prices around when I was shopping a few years back. I was initially a little suspicious but after a perfect PPI, perfect record, and great reviews, I went ahead and purchased a car from them. Fast forward about a year, the paint on the front bumper panel started to chip off and blister. Initially I thought it was bad rock chip damage, but it continued to worsen until it was obviously just peeling off. I took the car to a recommended auto body shop where they had no doubt that the paint job was aftermarket, had been done improperly, and was visibly not the right color match. It also appears that my back bumper panel had also been repainted improperly. This could end up costing me around $4,000 to fix. I called Auto One to simply to discuss the situation with them and found that they easily became defensive and agitated. After talking to multiple employees, someone finally left me a voicemail saying they could not help me given the amount of time that had passed since I purchased the car. I have no way of knowing if Auto One had any initial knowledge of this situation but what I do know is that THEY ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SELLING ME A COMPROMISED PRODUCT YET TOOK ZERO RESPONSIBILITY AND DID NOT OFFER TO HELP ME RESOLVE THE PROBLEM IN ANY WAY.

I have bought two cars from Auto One. I have sleazy used care salesmen in my family and am wary of small car lots, but these guys are truly exceptional. They are pleasant, patient, honest, and helpful. Both times, I spent a lot of time test driving their cars, chatting with them, etc. I never felt any pressure at all, they were happy to answer my questions, and the cars are great. The first one had zero problems and when I decided two years later that I wanted something bigger, they gave me a great deal on a trade-in (which I swore I would never do), and I drove off in my second new car from them. I have dealt with both salesmen there and I recommend them very highly.

I bought a used Mercedes (after corporate fleet lease) from Charlie in November 2011. It was a pleasure to deal with these guys, they were very professional and straightforward. The car had a few problems (e.g. a parktronic sensor was malfunctioning) and they were forthcoming about that. They delivered the car to San Jose per my asking, and two months after that, Charlie sent me an extra key/remote that theyve discovered. Awesome.

Wow! Compared to the old school places in Seaside auto one is the best. Charlie was polite, very knowledgeable, fast and no bs. They dont sell any cheap rubbishy cars, only quality. I bought an 06 Audi with low miles and took it to the German auto experts in Monterey to change the oil and do a complete diagnostic and it was perfect! I already know where I will buy my next car from.
