An upscale urban shopping experience densely packed in the very middle of San Franciscos downtown business district. Unlike many malls in California, this one is entirely enclosed and artificially air conditioned, which gives it the feel of the suburban variety. If not an identical twin, its definitely a kissing cousin. However, the real distinction between your suburban shopping experience and this particular Westfield offering, is San Francisco itself. Specifically, the crowd is extraordinarily diverse, significantly older on average, and less likely to feature roving gangs of teenagers who operate according to fashion-brand coordination rather than simple colors. Of course, youll be encouraged to adopt said matching brands anyway, since the anchor stores featuring "PacFitchAberTradingGap" swimwear in winter with the overwhelming odor of what lust must now smell like to anyone between 12 and 17 lofting through the corridors give you little choice but to snatch and grab whatever makeshift clothing is available to cover your nose lest you melt in rekindled sexual angst. Thankfully, or perhaps due to economic natural selection, the food court is located at the furthermost opposite end of this mall from the more commonly branded wee-wearers. The diverse crowd practically ensures a large and unusual collection of upscale, fast-food eateries, all quite well appointed with franchise logos and brightly lit displays with prices that make you rethink the term fast-food. And yet, for all this marketing.glitz, you might find yourself at a loss to recall where else you may have heard about or seen the Jello-molded-Coffee-Bean-Slider treat vendor called "BeanScreMein" before? At 22.50+Tax you might rather forget it, but at least you finally experienced what "parachuting" might have been like had you not have thought better of it at that concert which forced three of your friends to change careers in their mid-twenties. If you absolutely need the nostalgia of your mid-west upbringing to rearm a few reclusive neurons, you might take a stroll through this good reproduction, but dont forget your American Excess card, because you might have to triple mortgage your home to afford it.

Today we witnessed a case of ignorance towards sexual harassment by a Westfield security guard. When my partner and I entered the mall, a woman in front of us was being cat called by some guys lirking in front of the mall. When she did not respond, they started following her inside the mall. We wanted to make security aware of the problem and the first guard in front of a different shop was very helpful and because of lack of authority given to him called a Westfield guard over. This guard immediately, after giving a brief description of the circumstances, asked if the woman was wearing a "low cut dress and well endowed?", making a gesture suggesting huge breasts. My partner felt immediately offended and walked away, as we felt the guard was implying that "the woman asked for it if she dressed to pretty", while I asked the guard how that mattered. After that the guard replied that he was being called away by his supervisors for a different task and left. Maybe PCS, the security provider for the mall, can educate their staff, that sexual harassment is a real thing and that it starts with the people harassing, and NOT the victims. It should be added to the securities tasks to pay attention to these incidents, as there are bound to be more happening at a place this size.

As of on Sunday evening , this place is too picky vwhen it comes to my personality, literally I was asked out as on the 1950s pr 40 they sai i was notvdres properly, did not have the right attire yo be in there whe the weather hit over 90 degrees, they ask me to unplug my phone the policr was called, three guards came out at mi and chased me like if I was a criminal and i asked why why you guys are doing this , all they said it was a private property and i had no rigth tobe in there tjis happend on Sunday during the Java Convention, a few block from that pmacs a iwas jus wearing shor jeans an shirt nothing out of this world, this place discriminates agsins mysrlf because the same guard approached me before on another ocasdoon after bought my drink move out .

A nice downtown mall with a little history. Two key features include the spiral escalators at the Nordstrom side, which are one of the first ones in the US, and the beautifully restored Emporium dome from the buildings past. Overall: A pretty good variety to pick from. The food court in the basement has several different restaurants for all kinds of tastes (albeit, all run a bit pricey) and theres lots to shop at throughout the mall. Though, if you dont care about fashion, there isnt too much for you. Some notable spots for techies like me are an Amazon kiosk, a Microsoft Store, and a new Razer Store. Theres also a theater at the very top if you had enough shopping and want to watch a movie (that isnt already available at Metreon, that is). Its a pretty accessible location too with BART connecting to the basement level, MUNI stops nearby, and a big parking structure behind it. An overall really nice mall, though limited for those who arent shopping for clothes, or just shopping on a budget.

El centro comercial de la calle Market, un sitio de encuentro obligado en el corazón de San Francisco. Se puede encontrar casi de todo: electrónica, moda, cosmética, ropa deportiva. Hasta una tienda pop-up de Amazon. Michael Kors, Adidas, Abercrombie, Hollister, Microsoft, Zara, Timberland... Tienen los diseñadores más comunes junto con una buena oferta de comida. En la planta -1 ofrecen diferentes ofertas sin camareros. En la superior, la cúpula restaurantes de gama más alta. Destaca M.Y. China.

When you hear this mall has 6 levels and a food emporium your super stoked, but upon going in there its a Bloomingdales, a few other national shops and boutiques galore. Bath shops left and right and nothing that really draws people into the mall. A lot of dead space and not 6 levels of shop and shop after shop. In San Francisco there are plenty of places to get whatever you want and nothing spectacular that draws you in here except the centrality of it all. Union Square is where most people shop, whereas in Westfield people hang out. I got some good deals at the Borders as they are going out of business, or at least closing that location. The parking structure is across the street and has some odd enterance/exit locations. Pricey, but so is parking in the city in general. 15 minutes to leave once you pay $3.50/hour. If it wasnt for the local food shops in the emporium its just a mall.
