Strong urban hardware store - a nice comprehensive selection; aisles are narrow but far better organized than the TrueValue across the way (those who know my family connections will know Im cutting against bias here. :)) Service was top-notch, with employees going out of their way to track down customers who look confused. Will return for future hardware needs.

For as small a space as this store has its packed with a great variety of items. The gentleman that helped me was knowledgeable and took the time to find what I was looking for with other options available if needed. Cashier was friendly and other staff appeared courteous to whomever they were assisting. Would go here again.

This is my hardware store of choice -- Ive bought compact fluorescent lamps there, have had keys cut and even got excellent advice when we moved our stove and needed a slightly longer gas hookup pipe. The staff at Brownies are super friendly and their returns policy is pretty liberal.

One question- why are brownies staff so angry? If you dont like working with the public, please get the hell out the business! I gave them 2stars because the women at the counter was very nice but the a hole that was suppose to help me pick out a wrench was a tool, pun intended.

Im often going there to buy home supplies and various tools to prototype a lot of things and the staff has always been helpful, giving good advice and suggesting creative ideas with my requirements, which is what I need. I went there about 10-15 times now and I trust them.

This location has a very helpful staff. The item I wanted said it was available, but they didnt actually have any more. One person was helpful in confirming this, and then another called in an order and had it available for me the next day

I like Brownies but was disappointed when I called and heard a recording saying nobody is available . That needs to be fixed DIGITALLY . Other than that they have the basics and location. I will continue to use them

This is one of the friendliest, helpful hardware stores Ive ever been in. Ive been going to it for nearly 20 years. If Im not sure if what I need, I go here because I know they will help me figure it out.

These guys are absolutely the friendliest youll find in the city. Knowledgeable too! The store is small though, so Id only go here if I needed a really basic supply, as their selection is limited.

Rude staff who just stand around and talk amongst themselves. Dont make a genuine effort to help. Small range of items. A hardware store for hipsters. Dont waste your time.
