Im late in writing this review but wanted to share my wonderful experience with this jeweler. I got married in January and had a ring that kept slipping and turning to the side and wanted it fixed. Tried several jewelers here in town and spent $$ only to find the same problem no matter what i tried. I searched and found Skalet on YELP and will ONLY go here for future jewelry and /or issues. From first contact I felt sure they were the ones that could fix my issue. I drove from Benicia to Sacramento and was sooo happy with the job that was done. Not only did Todd know EXACTLY what i was talking about but he knew EXACTLY what i wanted and nailed it perfectly. The biggest thing was I didnt have to leave it. Todd finished in about an hour. WOW!! Thanks to Todd my ring has bling and stays put on my finger. He sized and soldered it the way in invisioned and it turned out even better. I walked away very satisfied and feeling that I have finally found a jeweler that cares about the customer and treats them with respect and courtesy. Thanks Skalet!!! and TODD

After my jeweler was forced to close due to a robbery I started looking for a new store. I was between Skalet and Land Park Gold and Silver. I had repair work done and bought jewelry at both stores. Today I went into Skalet to have rings sized and a silver Tiffany charm attached to a Tiffany bracelet (Tiffanys would have done it free I did not want to drive). Skalet wanted $30 just to attach the charm. One ring would have been over $200. And this is while I had on an expensive ring bought there and was eyeing a diamond necklace. I said no thank you and took my business to Land Park Gold and Silver. They not only took care of me at great prices (yes they did my charm free) but I also bought a sapphire necklace. I wish I never had any repairs done at Skalet as now I realize that not only did I pay way too much but the there seems to be a lack of consideration for loyalty. P.S. Skalet does not do silver OH EXCUSE ME! .

Years ago I came here to look at engagement rings and loose diamonds. I had done a lot of research on diamonds. We talked and looked at a few diamonds, but as soon as I said anything about internet prices and what range I expected to pay based on the "Cs", he immedietly picked up the diamond we were looking at, stood up, and said "good bye". I was floored! I hadnt been rude, and I didnt expect that he could compete with internet prices, but I did expect him to negotiate a little... or at least kindly say he wouldnt. I left and havent been back. My impression of the products and work there remain the same, that they are top notch, but the prices are still too high. Its interesting how one experience can sour ones feelings for so long.

Went to have some repair work done for my wife. The necklace turned out fine and the errings turned out fine also. It was the cost of the repairs that were outrageous! At the time I thought oh ok these are Tiffany pieces and I wanted to suprise her. I Found out thru friends that had I gone to Land Park Gold and Silver it would have been a fraction of the cost and the work is excellent. I would never go back to Skalets and feel I have been totally ripped off by them. They may be a family but one that apparently thinks nothing of over charging and could care less about losing returning customers. I know now why they are in Old Sac- tourist rarely are returning customers.

Took my wifes engagement ring in to get a stone replaced which had fallen out. The jewelers are very knowledgeable and helpful as well as being certified gemologists. They were able to match the stone which was a little tricky to get right due to the color and type. The price was very reasonable and they gave us great advice on how to keep the ring clean in the future. I highly recommend this place for repairs or if you are in the market for some jewelry. Great honest people!

My wife and I were here 2 days ago to look for a push gift. She was able to walk out with something she likes. There are many great selections to choose from and Jim was very helpful. We felt no pressure in buying anything. Overall, we did walk out with a necklace and a set of halo jacket earrings. She loved it. Def will come back. Also, they hooked me up with some tungsten rings because mine no longer fit me anymore. That was a bonus!.

This is the jeweler we chose for our engagement/wedding rings and some diamond stud earrings. I have gone back several times for maintenance and their customer service is absolutely unsurpassed. I have never been treated so well by literally EVERY employee at a business. The Skalet family has always taken care of us from our wedding rings to anniversary rings, etc. Their designs are incredible and top notch. I brought in my own diamond for the engagement ring and Mr Skalet and his sons took very good care of us. That was 10 years ago and I have purchased several rings from them since then.

Beautiful custom jewelry and great customer service in Old Sacramento. The entire process from designing the diamond wedding ring to receiving it was excellent. It takes a lot to impress me and they did it! I would recommend this custom jeweler to both family and friends.

I bought two pieces here and recommended friends and family on several other pieces. They design their own jewelry which can be amazing. Their location is in Old Sacramento which gives it a rustic and old western feel. I still enjoy walking through their gallery.
