Well,up until the advent of SMD devices and the drying-up of the _fantastic_ electronic and optical surplus that used to be available in So. Calif.from the aerospace industry down sizing this place was a six(6) star! It had surplus goodies and parts and wire (silver-plated stranded Teflon-insulated from 30 ga. up to 6+ gauge); ceramic[steatite] insulators and feed-thrus. All at such beautiful prices that it would make your wallet sob and wail (and your "wife" get out her 700 Nitro Express double rifle!) The only place that I knew of that could beat "E.W.s" selection was C & H Surplus in Pasadena. Now THAT was a ten star surplus outlet! BUT, such days and places are gone FOREVER!!! AMF(Adios, My Friends!!!!). Composed & "printed" on a Chinese-made in China computer(HeHeHeHeHA!!!!).

This place is awesome. Ive been coming here for years. The staff have helped tremendously with assistance (input) for my various projects. Great people. Lots of stuff, ranging from audio, to lighting, power, pcb boards, soldering irons, computer parts... adapters and converters of all sorts. Dont buy online, you may save a few pennies, but the human experience is incomparable. These people love what they do, and you can tell.

I have been in the industry since 1987, I have seen companies raise and fall, this store have supplied all my solutions, no returns ever, the only con, the new surveillance security camera customer service rep professional (or should have performed professional) behind the counter, was having an episode, however, one of the original, provided stellar customer service. I shall return.

If you liked radio shack before it turned into a crappy cell phone store, well this place is even better than radio shack ever was. The employees are all very helpful and knowledgeable and will help you get the right capacitor, patch cable, spool of wire, connectors, or batteries to finish whatever your working on. This is where technicians get what they need to get stuff done.

Electronic components, wire tools are a dying breed at most other stores. A great selection on the shelf or can be ready for pickup in a few days. Its a small place not a franchise great customer service. Diodes. SCR,s Transistors, switchs, cameras, lug,s terminals, heatshrink tubing, and related electronic items.

Helpful staff and always have things available that you need. From UPS Batteries, audio and video plugs for wiring, wiring tools, to even circuit parts. Dont forget to look next door at the Electronics Warehouse Outlet for items that are returned/refurbished.

I went in looking for a battery pack and cable to fix a Halloween costume. EW had, bar none, the best customer service Ive ever experienced at an electronics store. I was in and out in mere minutes, with the exact parts I needed.

One star less because their hours are only while I am working and I have to drive from Redlands. Going at 5pm is a nightmare for traffic. Usually have to wait for Saturday. Wish we had a branch in Redlands.
