I found my wedding dress here last year, I made an appointment and my consultant was April she was amazing helping me find the right dress style since it was my first time looking. I Paid in full for my dress 12/26/2016, I was measured from my bust, waist, and hips. I ordered my dress one size down to lose weight to fit into it. In between this time frame I had second thoughts about my dress so I asked the status of the order and if it was too late to cancel, I was told it was too late due to the dress being a “custom size” because of my height I am 5’1. Just picked up my dress 07/08/2017 was nervous as heck because of the size I had ordered. I went with an appointment scheduled at 12 was late 12 minutes (called and informed them of me being late). Got there and I immediately got sat in the back by my original consultant but put me with another consultant who didn’t know anything about my journey for this dress (when I had spoken with April on Friday 07/07 that she would be the one to assist btw), well I guess not. I got fitted, the dress zipped from my bust and from my waist, super loose from my hips and down, this dress is meant to fit tight on the body. The dress was still way too long, on 7 inch step the dress still dragged on the floor. I was told “that’s the shortest the designer could make that dress”, I was never aware of this before ordering the dress, was provided with a list of seamstress and was told THEY can fix that with no problem, that was the exact thing they told me about the maker of the dress when I asked the same question back in December? I signed a receipt with no choice since my wedding is in October I don’t have another 8 months to order another dress. Took our own photos that I had picked up my dress and an awkward walk out the door asking to my party "is that it?" *crickets* no one say goodbye or thank you, nothing. While their "VIB party" that was in process stared at me and my 4 girls like if I wasnt supposed to be there "interrupting". It was either because I already had paid for my dress in full that their where so cold about my fitting and pick up, or that they prioritize their VIB wayyyyyyyy too much while another bride walks into the shop. I had an appointment scheduled so I dont see why they were so cold.

I had become so discouraged in trying to find my wedding dress that I had stopped looking for months and the very thought of trying again had me in tears. Fortunately, my mother-in-law found Arlets by accident so we stopped in. In spite of the sign in the window saying, "By Appointment Only", they let us come in and look around (it probably helped that they werent very busy). I was overwhelmed by the selection but my mother-in-law and bridesmaid were good at pulling dresses and giving them to me. This shop appears to be run by a mother/daughter team (daughter is the owner) and when the mother finished with the customer she was helping she came over to me. In a very short time she had heard enough about what I was looking for and seen enough of my body shape that she went out and found a couple dresses for me to try. One of them stood out from the rest and was absolutely perfect!! Not only was it gorgeous, but it made the most of my hourglass figure without making me feel fat or look tacky. I was beside myself with delight! She then put a veil on me that was beyond any that I had seen so far. The price was reasonable, the alterations were well done, they stored my dress for me for several months, and both the owner and "mama" remember exactly who I was any time I called or came in. They were very gracious when I stopped by (again, without an appointment) to try on the dress for my matron-of-honor and never failed to be absolutely professional. Someone without experience with an "old world mama" might be put off by the fact that she voiced her opinion ("No, not this one. The color isnt good with your skin."), but I was very appreciative of both her experience and her opinions. I would (and have!) highly recommend Arlets. I wish them all the best and hope theyre around for many years.

My day started out pretty good. Then by midday I started to get discouraged. I went to Davids bridal to just get some under garments to have when trying on dresses. I took 45 minutes to just get a person to help me and once I did have a person helping me she disappeared and start helping other and left standing in the fitting room. So my family and I left. Then we went to another place and was having no luck. Talk about getting discouraged and sad. So my family and I left with never trying anything on. So now not only am I discouraged and sad; my mom and grandma were starting to get discouraged and sad as well as trying to keep me positive. I prayed as we got into the car and said God this is your plan not, and please let me know when I find the dress you want me to wear. So my last stop for the day was Arlet Bridal Couture. I pass by this store everyday coming home from work and I always see the most beautiful dresses in the window. We get parked and walk up to the store and see the sign on the door appointments but something told us to go in and we did. My family and I were greeted as soon as we walked in by Ms. Arlet (daughter). She had a warm and welcoming smile and she greeted us with a very friendly and warm welcome. Their dresses are absolutely beautiful and very reasonably priced. Everybody there is very helpful and they pay attention to what you like. With the way my day was going is was very nice to finish it with these lovely people. I even finished my day on cloud 9 because I found my dress !!! Wherever you live, you need to make time and stop by Arlet Bridal Couture. You will love them and their dresses.

I am impressed by their customer service. They selection is amazing and the owner is really nice and accommodating, Arlet really cares about your day and wants you to find THE perfect dress. I drove almost 2 hours and it was completely worth it! For every bride out there you HAVE TO visit them! On top of it all the prices are a lot better than most bridal shops around I would give it 20 starts If I could! I can not say good enough things about this place! To give the store behind why I am so impressed: I fell in love with a dress from a newer collection from Kitty Chen and had called several bridal places and they could not get my dress soon enough for my wedding. I called Arlets bridal almost giving up on the dress and thought I would have to settle for something else. When Arlet picked up the phone she assured me she could get it and I was baffled! I made and appointment to go try it on, and she surprised me with the dress in my size already there!!! If you know how the process works, most dresses take 4-6 months to come in, she was able to get if for me within ONE WEEK! I also made my alterations with them and I will go try it on this week, cant wait! THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH ARLET!!!
