I just had a great experience with Brown Motor Works. My riding buddy and I are located in SLC, Ut. and we like to drive to warmer climes for the Winter. This year we drove to southern California. We store our bikes with a nephew in Fontana and then made several plane trips to Fontana to pick up the bikes and ride. Before our third trip down I decided it was time to get new tires before we rode again. We found Brown Motor Works in Pamona, CA just a short drive west of Fontana. I contacted Brown, told them when I would be back down and that I wanted to get the tires put on at the first of the trip so as to not cut into our time on the road. I discussed my next set of Michelins with the parts department and set up a service appointment for the day we were to arrive in Fontana. I arranged this with "Eddie" in the service department. He assured me that my schedule was going to be honored. A few days later I received confirmation that the tires were in the shop. Two weeks later we arrived in Fontana, drove the BMW to the shop at the end of the day. The next morning about 10:00 AM the tires and minor check over were completed and the RT was parked out front ready to go. No waiting. I found Eddie and all of the staff to be most helpful. We even discovered that my current mechanic in SLC (Bavarian Motor Works) had previously worked at Brown before relocating to SLC. I couldnt have been more pleased. Our trip went without a hitch. We ended up in Santa Cruz where we will leave the bikes for a few more weeks, then fly out and bring them back to Utah. It was great to finish this trip with the confidence that the tires were new. In my book, I rate a dealer/shop on them living up to their word and standing behind it. The prices was as quoted and the work was completed as promised. And we have new friends in Pamona. Given the need, we will see them again. Mike

The Service Manager, Fast Eddie, iis either a liar, or extremely stupid. Take your Bike anywhere else. This guy is dishonest, and its hard to tell if hes really dishonest, or just very stupid. You think hes lying, then the more he talks, you start to wonder if he doesnt know that hes lying, and he really is dumb enough to believe the utter nonsense spilling from his mouth. There are a lot of other Motorcycle dealers, and you are doing yourself a disservice bringing your bike here to get fixed. Based on my experience, he will not only lie to you on the phone, he will put his lies in writing. He either cant tell if a part is broken by looking at it, or breaks things by trying to make them work, and then blames someone else. You wont find this level of incompetence at any quality shop, and it amazes me that he is allowed near anything more sophisticated than a Walmart bicycle. I dont like to give a bad review to a motorcycle shop, because most of the people work there out of love for the sport, but it is unbelievable that this guy could be in charge of anything other than pushing the bikes out in the morning and making sure the keys dont get lost. Hes that incompetent.

As a customer at Brown Motor Works, Ive consistently been treated fairly, with honesty, and in a friendly manner. I expect to continue trading at Brown’s, and I highly recommend the dealership. For background, over the last 28 years, I have purchased several new and used motorcycles from Brown’s, as well as a variety of accessories and parts. During that time, Brown’s has also performed nearly all of the regular and emergency servicing for my motorcycles, in addition to a few custom modifications. Brown’s service personnel have been uniformly competent and thorough, often advising of items needing attention before they would have caused problems out on the road. Routine work has been completed as scheduled and within the estimated cost. Loaners are available during servicing, a convenience that I appreciate. I’ve also been pleased with the extensive product knowledge and the genuinely helpful attitudes of the accessories, parts, and sales staff members, for both routine items and special orders. Back-office & administrative matters have been handled efficiently and to everyone’s satisfaction. One final note ... everyone at Brown’s is a rider.

Really appreciated the company policy of providing a loaner while having service work done on my GS, which was exceptional in and of itself. But then they loaned me the new 1600 BMW even tho they knew I wasnt in the market to buy right now (Who knows, maybe someday!) The salesman spent a good deal of time orienting and preparing me to ride the monster (It was like going from flying a Piper Cub to flying a Lear Jet!) and also provided maps and suggestions of good areas to test ride. They also helped me locate an after-market product (J-Peg) that wasnt available thru them and put me in touch with the small company that makes them. Also the service dept did an exceptional job on the routine tune-up, went the extra mile to do some adjustments that were above and beyond those required. I came away feeling like I had a new bike.

The people at Brown have been great to us. 4 of us rode our BMWs to the Arctic Circle last year and Brown prepped our bikes and handled a LARGE emergency repair the AM we left. In fact, Mr. Brown rode to another dealership to get us a part that he did not have in stock just to get us underway again ASAP. In addition, he noticed on our web site that we were stopped for 2 days at a location in Canada and emailed us to see that everything was alright - it was, we just took a down day to rest up. That is some great service. On the down side, the few times I have had work done, getting checked out and paying for the work can be a cumbersome process - I think they need a little better/faster set up for that. Steve

Nearly a quarter million miles of riding BMWs under my belt with virtually all service done at Brown Motor Works. Browns is honest, reliable, and does a great job whenever I bring my bike in for service. Also, their customer service both in parts and sales is great. Whenever I order a part, or need any type of call back, Browns is right on it! Very dependable, courteous, and professional. I highly recommend Brown Motor Works if you are buying a bike, a part, or need service. They are tops in my book!

I live in Ventura county and motor past more than a few BMW dealers to get to these guys. Not just for the awesome collection of vintage bikes, I go there for the service, they are head and shoulders above and always provide fair and quality service. Eddie has recently got me through a tight spot and back on the road with his service knowledge, and I cant thank him enough. If you have a problem or just need service I would highly recommend these guys. They also sell great bikes!

Theres a worker at the front desk name Eddie Do everything you can to avoid doing any transaction whatsoever with this gentleman. Hes crooked in a lot of ways.Worst experiences Ive ever had with a mechanic. Absolute failure both times. They handed me my motorcycle back with different problems and acted like it wasnt their fault. Overpriced and crooked businessman all the way around. Literally any other place is better
