What a Great Experience at Lexus of Pleasanton! I purchased a pre-owned 2013 Lexus GS from a sales rep named Charek and he was outstanding. He had a very laid back demeanor and extremely knowledgeable. Even thought I purchased pre-owned I received top notch service like I was purchasing new. Actually to their standard since the vehicle was CPO, I did receive everything like a new vehicle. All manuals, all keys, floor mats with "Lexus" logo, all trunk tools in their exact location even a wheel lock with its own lock in area with the tools (very cool). During the buying process, Charek offered to step away for my wife and I to discuss how we feel privately. With my mind set on what I wanted, the pricing, the options, I didnt feel I needed him to leave but I feel that was respectful of him not to pressure us on one choice or another. I especially like that he worked with us upon returning to finalize the deal. We live a little drive out from Pleasanton in Central Valley and we were to return that same day but due to kids getting out from school and traffic we found it better to return the next morning. Originally Charek told us he can only hold for that day but he worked with us for the next day which I found to be another plus on his part. Douglas in finance was great, hes the one that goes over the contract and if you want a car care program or extended warranty stuff, so forth (a lot of declines on my part). He was very laid back and courteous to my decisions. I didnt find that his attitude changed, he stayed completely positive and upbeat even with my declines. Upon return, my new family member was washed and cleaned (not that he needed it, I picked the one from the showroom) and yet another great touch of class and customer service. I cant say enough; they did an exceptional job at professionalism, customer service, knowledge, pricing match (Im very savy and checked over 100mls for that exact model, color combo, etc. via auto trader, true car..) and they came in below price and above expectations. To top it off, they have a free for all bean grinding coffee machine that uses Peets coffee beans with all the options (top quality & great for them coffee junkies like me). I will be back next for a Lexus SUV, thank you Lexus of Pleasanton Team, I dont live in the area but I am willing to drive the extra as you guys (and especially my man Charek) made a great impression and a loyal and returning customer.

I wanted to update my post to reflect what transpired. I called Lenux of Pleasanton for a quote on an oil/filter/service. I was told it would cost $149.99 for a simple drain and fill. I asked if an inspection and tire rotation was included. I was told no it was a simple drain and fill. If that is true, I believe that cost is to high for RX350, 2011. I also believe it would cost $25 for a filter + oil and 20 minutes of labor. Makes me wonder how much other services would cost. A girl friend of mine who happen to have her Acura in for an Oil change at Acura of Pleasanton during this time explained to me it cost her $75 for a oil+filter with inspection, tire rotation, plus a set of wiper blades, washed and vacuumed the car...WOW! I am not sure if I was quoted the wrong pricing but if that is correct I will continue to service my Mother laws vehicle and avoid the Lexus dealership for now. If I am incorrect about my statements above Lexus of Pleasanton may contact me they have my cell phone number. Update: Finally spoke with Ken Fletcher the service manager and Ken informed me that this vehicle takes Synthetic oil and the service should be every 10k miles. Ken quoted around $195.00 for an oil/filter change, with inspection and tire rotation. I forgot to ask if the wash and vacuum was included! :( Ken offered a one time reduced price of $134, which is very nice and I believe to be a good deal if the wash and vacuum is a part of the service. Since the service is every 10k miles instead of 5k miles, one should double the cost of a normal oil change. Also consider synthetic oil cost more. But I believe that the original $195 is a little high. Local independent shops charge around $100 for an oil/fitler change with Synthetic oil and inspection. Thank you Ken for spending the time to get back to me over a three week period, this tells me Ken takes his job seriously and I can respect that.

When someone is in the market for a new vehicle, whether your decision is to lease or finance, the experience should be fun and exhilarating. Our Sales/Lease Consultant, Ms. Yesenia Sanchez and Finance Manager, Ms. Christina Campbell, both made a fantastic combination. In my line of work in the Information Technology industry, a couple of key ingredients to a successful transaction are communication and understanding. As devastating as it sound, because our last experience with Lexus of Roseville ended up extremely horrendous, we took our business with Lexus of Pleasanton. In my humble opinion, there is always room for improvements. I was slightly disappointed when I learned that my headlights were not covered with the protective film, especially when my instructions were explicitly informed. My previous vehicle, a 2013 GS 350 F Sport, the entire hood, front bumper, headlights, the two side fenders, and two side mirrors were covered with the protective film. I wanted the same configuration to be applied on our new vehicle. As disappointing as I was, I had to drive back to Pleasanton (an hour and 30 minutes from Elk Grove) and show them my headlights were not covered, and they weren’t. Luckily, they were able to rectify the issues in the next couple of hours, which was incredible and earned my trust in them. As I stated earlier, communication and understanding are two very significant attributes to have a successful outcome. Just because there was an issue with communication, this won’t stop us from conducting future business with Lexus of Pleasanton. Our overall experience from these two wonderful ladies was amazing, filled with enthusiasm and explosive work ethics. We’ll definitely come back to Lexus of Pleasanton for future services. ;)

I decided to purchase a used 2012 RX 350. I asked a lot of questions up front to ensure a smooth transaction but to no avail as the regular B.S. of buying a car from a dealer ensued. First and last time for me. Next time I just go buy a Tesla and call it a day. I provided things like my drivers license and insurance card up front to speed things up and was promised to be out in under hour. I spent 2.5 hours there instead. My wife was forced to drive to the bank to withdraw $23,350 in cash just so I could drive the car off the lot! Unacceptable. I had to help insert hundreds of bills into your stupid safe/money counter while employees looked on and joked, including one of the salesmen. Beyond unacceptable. I had to sign more papers than when I bought my house. Ridiculous. I specifically asked the salesman ahead of time how much I could charge to my credit card and he told me $5K, when I arrived it turns out $3K was max. At first I was told the remainder had to be in cashiers check, which is fine, then he said personal check is ok, then neither was ok so my wife had to go get cash at 7pm in the rain. I had to provide my social security number for an "identity check" which is pure B.S. because my identity is established by my government issued ID. I did not apply for any loans so you dont actually need my SSN. Bottom line is next time I will choose a colonoscopy over purchasing a car a Hendricks, or any other car dealer for that matter. Tesla runs factory direct stores, which is a totally different experience. Or I will just buy a used car from a private party like I have done over a dozen times, much faster, easier, less painful, and I dont feel dirty and cheated at the end.
