If I could give this store no stars I would. Twice now while shopping at this store I have had the worst customer service experiences. The first time I spent a good hour sorting through the mess to find my daughters sizes. The store was disorganized and looked like it might be transitioning over from the holidays. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt until I realized that not once was I asked if I needed help while juggling my one year old and trying to sort out their mess. There was an associate on the floor but she seemed to be doing nothing. That is, of course, until I was finally ready to check out and someone at the same time asked her about a size. I was redirected to the main gap from the kids gap so she could help the other woman. I was still in line waiting to be checked out when she finished "helping" the other customer. She looked over at me and then proceeded to do more nothing. After that I swore I would just shop online from now on. Unfortunately, my daughters growth snuck up on me and I needed some emergency staples for her as we were leaving on a trip. I knew gap kids had a few things I liked for her and had just not gotten around to ordering. I figured Id run in knowing what I wanted and be done with it. Yet again, the store was a DISASTER. The sale signs were misleading, the stock was a mess, and the sale associate actually lied to me about an item to get out of helping me. Specifically, I asked about the girls dinosaur shirt they had online and she said "oh no! Only the boys have dinosaurs. There is no girl dinosaur shirt." If I had the energy I would have pulled it up but honestly people should not need to work that hard to spend money in a store. Again, I was redirected to the main gap to get checked out and as I stood there the girl being checked out seemed to still be shopping. In fact, the cashier was looking up stock for her online while she walked away to continue browsing. I was not acknowledged and as another woman came up to get in line she was not acknowledged. Instead of saying, "I am going to check out these ladies while you continue shopping," she just stared blankly in to space and acted like we were not there. That was enough for me. I placed my things totaling about $200 without knowing they were on sale or not on the counter and walked out. Gap corporate should be taking a hard look at this store and retraining everyone in it. Laziness abounds here. I will be taking my business online and to Walnut Creek from now on.

I called one Gap looking for an item, and they told me the Stoneridge Gap had it in stock. They called Stoneridge, but Stoneridge refused to search the store for it. So I called them directly, and they said theyd search and call me back. They never called me back. I called again later, and they said they were out of stock. The wait probably cost me the item. Not cool.
