Ive gone to this location (Pasadena) since before it was a Blick store, and its always been a good place. Generally good selection, but Id never expect a store this size to have everything, all the time, that anyone might want, and still keep prices reasonable. The staff overall is pretty knowledgeable, and my experience has always been that they are courteous and helpful. Occasionally I have a question that goes outside someones range of expertise, but not too often.

By far the best-priced and widest selection for art supplies. I regularly come here for supplies for watercolor, acrylic, drawing, and calligraphy. I called in to check stock and got answer quickly which I really appreciated. Even though I have an order from the online store on the way, I came to pick up a few things I forgot and Christine was very helpful and sweet. The nice staff and great items are the reason I put up with the 25 minute drive here.

Whatever your artistic medium this store will most likely have what you need. Wide range of make it yourself art packages for kids. Ask the clerk to seek it out for you. The staff isnt too friendly. At least the three I spoke to just pointed and didnt actually help me find what I was looking for. But hey, could have been a bad day for them. Prices are a bit steep but they offerred me a discount for a class I was taking. That was nice.

Blicks is a one stop shop for Art materials for students and professionals. Knowledgable and nice staff. If it is not in stock, the staff is always happy to order it for you. Keep a keen watch on the sales. I saved my receipts and not all sales are created equal. Sometimes the price of an item will be marked up, and a sale sticker will be attached to it bringing the price back to the regular original price.

I had a very pleasant and helpful time shopping for my art supplies here. While you may get overwhelmed by the large array of materials here. If you ask for help the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable at helping you choose the correct supplies for whatever art project you have in your hands. Dont be afraid to ask for help. Trust me the staff here will be very happy to assist you.

The sales/stock clerk was very friendly and helpful. I was looking for gold ink for my calligraphy dip pen and he seem to have some knowledge about it. I was lucky to find a metered parking spot across the street that still had an hour left in the meter. Theres parking in a structure across the street but I dont how much they charge.

I loved it, but now I can not look through the paint colors without an employee hovering over me like Im going to steal things. I complained to the mammager and she said they treat everyone like they are going to steal the paint because, theyve had a recent rise in theft. Not the proper way to treat people.

Convenient with a wide selection of art supplies, but the prices are sometimes absurdly high. I come here for pencils and any items I need in a hurry, but do window shopping here and order somewhere online instead. Theres a free 90-minute public parking garage right across the street.

I would say blicks is BY FAR the best art store ive been in. The staff is nice and very helpful. better than that one art store i went to in glendales. i wouldnt recommend going on weekends tho because of traffic and parking. ill be going on a fri and will be expecting to come back.

10% discount for members! This place has just about everything when it comes to art. I also like coming to this area because there is free parking on the corner of Raymond and Green street. After going to blicks, you can walk to paper source, samys, the container store, etc.

Best selection of pens anywhere in Pasadena, all other art supplies too, really. They are a bit expensive, but thats expected from an art supply store. I do wish they had a larger selection of workbooks, but the available options should be fine for 95% of projects.

A great store compared to others simply due to their prices and stock. However, staff never once bothered me to ask if I needed help and kept to managing the check out. Their website is a lot easier to navigate to find what one is looking for.

This place was amazing. I love Block does but this one was all kept, helpful staff, and theres a ton to choose from BEFORE you realize theres an upstairs with even more! Check this place out for all your artistic needs.

Make sure you get there well before closing! I ran up to the store to quickly get one item 5 minutes before their posted closing time, just to have the door closed and locked in my face. I wont be coming back after that!

Great place for arts and crafts and plenty of parking on the street if you dont mind paying for it weekends is harder than weekdays to find parking and this location doesnt seem to be overcrowded for the most part.

My daughter is in a high school for the arts and she can always find what she needs here. My father was looking for drafting supplies with no luck. I took him to Block and problem solved. This is a great store.

Great resource if you study at ArtCenter. Its on the Shuttle route. The one thing that makes this a 4 star review is that the discounts are confusing. The web match sometimes ends up costlier than the website.

Best place for cheap art supplies for PCC students. I always feel happy entering art supply stores. Only complaint is that the employee with the orange hair was rude. Other than that, I love coming here

Theres SWAINS in Glendale if you seek real quality paint selection and room for canvases...i mean a whole dedicated WALL OF SPRAYS like Liquitex Montana all that...next to ihop glendale blvd

Doesnt have a lot of character but its decent for a chain store. They have a good selection of bookbinding supplies, which is a nice surprise. Dont forget to use your 10% student discount.

This place is THE PLACE for art supplies! They are in a 2 story building so you know they have tremendous variety and stock. Everything my son has ever needed is there.

Prices are very low and theres a large variety of many great brands. Nice friendly people and did I mention how amazing the prices are? ;) Copics especially
