Not a good place if your a so called African American looking for so called African American material. Its obvious so called African Americans is not Barnes and Nobles target audience. There is only one so called African American person working at this location and she is of mixed race. All others are security, news flash Barnes and Noble, so called African Americans can do more at your store than security. Could you please expand your so called African American section from one shelf. Maybe get rid of a few of those murder, sex and violence sections and make room for some good so called African American ancient history material. Hire some black employees, although color really doesnt matter when it comes to getting service, fare hiring practices do matter. I would like to see some of my people there amongst the others.

If youre looking for a wide variety of fiction, then this is the B&N for you! Unless, of course, youre in a hurry. This location is almost always understaffed. Ive seen the management mistreat the employees more than once, too. Unfortunately, sections outside of fiction, cooking, and business are really bare. The selection for any other category is severely limited and outdated. Definitely recommend The Bookman in Orange above B&N, when its an option. Even for a used bookstore, the selection is massive (and available online), and the staff is incredibly helpful. Theres also the Book Carnival in Tustin, which is still preferable to B&N. B&N visits can be fun, but this location usually leaves me disappointed.

A comfy place to chill and read or study and drink coffee from the Starbucks down below. Theres some homeless around the area so prepare your middle upper class mindset to be blown away by the realities of poverty and a public environment. Aside from that, the first time I came here I was followed by one of the "ushers" so to say... For quite awhile. Super obvious and uncomfortable but this is the closest BN to me in OC.

Having been a journalism student the past four years Ive had to do a fair share of video stories on local establishments. One of them was Shake Barnes & Noble. The store is small but rich with Barnes & Noble (and surprisingly well organized / archived). Ric, the owner, has been around town forever and knows everything about Uptown. I asked him a lot of questions about changes in the neighborhood.

I have to disagree with the other person--terrible customer service...good luck trying to get someone on the telephone...seems to me like every time I phone I get put on hold for 5+ mins. Which I dont think is the common or supported customer service practice. I am well aware that I AM NOT THE ONLY CUSTOMER they have, however I would like some recognition as opposed to being placed on hold.

Love this two-story bookstore! Our two year old niece enjoyed the large toy selection as well as the escalator rides up and down :) Plenty of seating in their cafe but not a lot of electrical plugs for your laptop. Lots of selection with helpful staff. Easy to park and get back to the main road. They also have lots of activities for the kids such as story time anda scavenger hunt!

Beautiful Displays and a very friendly staff. Always ready to help without being pushy. Also, I found the Harry Potter Section especially inviting compared to the other Barnes and Nobles I have visited recently. It was well done and placed in an excellent viewing location rather than off to the side. My daughter really enjoyed it and wanted to go back to visit!

The place I always go when I purchase my books. Great selections of choices. They are great. One of the greatest things they have done is that when I call to see when a collection comes out for example and they dont know any information about it at all, they call a week before it comes out once that details come and saves a pair for me. Isnt that just amazing?

Large, 2 story B&N. Starbucks coffee inside, they also serve soda unlike regular Starbucks, some outside cafe tables. The restrooms are large with handicap stall and changing tables. They have security personnel inside the store at all times. Great music section. They have escalators and an elevator. They also have fluffy chairs by power outlets.

Nice bookstore. Two levels, a Starbucks and WiFi. And they arent really mean if you just want to stay and read a bit before purchasing and they have a pretty good selection, they will order your book if they dont have it in and their prices arent too bad. If you prefer books over e-books, definitely recommend.

I generally prefer bookstores that sell books as opposed to toys, kitchenware, gifts, etc. Having said that, my two year old daughter loves coming here, and the staff never complain about her making a mess of the stuffed toys and reading books without buying them.

I would have purchased 2 dvds had there been an associate to help me in the music/movie area. No ,I made no purchases. Several different associates asked me if I needed help while I was looking at the books. Which was before I went.to purchase the dvds.

Spacious, clean, large book selection and courteous professional staff (although one of the cafe employee was somewhat cold and aloof when confronting with serving my pastry without food utensils), in spite of minor frivolity, my favorite B&N in OC!

Great selection, multi level store, has escalator and elevator. Starbucks inside. Staff a little pushy, some not very knowledgeable. Found one wonderful woman who knew everything about a particular genre my son was searching for.

Often limited seating in the café due to students & regulars, with big generous views of Main St. Often gets hot and sunny, however, and no window shades from the sun are provided. Great selection. Great Wi-Fi with good reception.

There is a handsome young lad named Matthew who works the music department. His knowledge of music and film knows no bounds. His customer service skills are beyond belief. Worth a trip just to visit this outstanding person.

I love this place because it has all types of books, books other B&N stores dont carry. I love the lighting, the neatness, and customer service. I love how I can actually touch the books in thinking of buying. Great Job

Great customer service. Every time my daughter needs a book for school they know right where to find it without wasting time looking on the computer or having to ask Co workers. Beautiful store with a comfy atmosphere.

Located across from the mall, thus Barnes n Nobles is super clean and nice! There is plenty of parking because it is located in a dead plaza. The store is very clean and the workers are very friendly.

Nice but Spanish books section is too little considering that in the website they have a long variety of Spanish books and also being in Santa Ana City I thought they would have more Spanish books.

I love the level of customer service I received. The bookseller went out of her way to help.me. Cant remember her name but she looked of mixed background with a short mens haircut. Awesome!
