The Book Carnival is my favorite book store ever. It is on Tustin Street just north of the 22 Freeway in Orange and very easy to access. Anne has book signings often and has had Robert Crais, T. Jefferson Parker, John Sandford, Craig Johnson and Michael Connelly to name a few of the best known. She also reaches out to new authors to do book signings and has even had several launch parties for first books. There are many wonderful books to chose from at the Book Carnival. If you dont find what you want, Anne is always willing to try to get it for you. There is also a book club that meets once a month and I have been introduced to authors that I had never read before so that has been wonderful. Check out the Book Carnival. It is definitely worth the time!!!!!

Unbelievable selection of the most popular genre. Frequent signings and a great selection of rare and hard to find books. Nice batch of common titles too. Something for every budget. Nice friendly folks. Go there a couple of times and you will find you have made some new friends. My favorite store. I wrote this review some time ago when the previous owners were there. I have not changed my mind a bit! Id like to add that there are now some comfy chairs though. Kudos to Anne!

Great little independent mystery book store with FREQUENT book signings for big name authors as well as newly published writers. They have a new sound system and monitor for everyone to hear and see the guests. Well done. The staff is personable, friendly and knowledgeable about mystery and suspense genres - my favorites - and a great selection including MANY first, signed editions.

Great book store. They have a vast assortment of mystery and suspense novels. They special order specific requests. The biggest plus is that they have FREQUENT book signings, and all the popular mystery authors make appearances to discuss their books, answer questions, and give autographs. It is fabulous

Every time, Ive come here, Ive found something to get.I dont get ignored here and they know know what they are talking about here.I love Chevalier Books. I will keep supporting this neighborhood small business over B&N or Amazon any day. They have a great childrens section as well.
