Anzen hardware has been one of my favorite spots in the hood since I moved here 3 years ago. Anzen run the place themselves and have never let me down. How many hardware stores give you personal attention from the owner? Not many in this era. While my trips to the hardware store have become less frequent since the multiple weekly trips when I first moved in, I still enjoy shopping there and discuss the project of the day with Anzen, who seems to know the exact nut, bolt and washer for every project and exactly which shelf and hook they are hanging from. Anzen is one of the old good guys in the hood.

What an awesome hardware store! I stopped in to pick up a power sander for work (something that I know absolutely nothing about). The staff was incredibly friendly and I was told about all the different types of power sanders and that it would be cheaper to buy one instead of renting if it was more than a two day job. I got in and out in about ten minutes and had great customer service on the floor and at the cashier. I will definitely be returning for any hardware needs in the future!

I love this store. I came in the other day and just started asking them for random solutions in my apartment. Store staff, "Can I help you?" Me, "Yes, Im looking for something I can use to turn into a jewelry holder, tie rack, scarf holder. I dont know what Im looking for but I feel like you guys have it." They walked me all over the store until we found just the right thing. Helped me figure out how to make it - and I only spent nine bucks!

Cole Hardware stores are wonderful indeed. Especially for Los Angeles, CA who live in daily episodes of This Old House--my house is 105 years old--they have everything. One of their best services are their recommended tradesmen, who do everything from carpentry, double hung window repair, locksmiths, etc.Marc Es toque, master locksmith, is one of these, always on time, exceptional work, all at reasonable prices. Highly recommend.

This hardware store is the best. They have helped me with every random project from household repairs to pulling together my halloween costume. I love this hardware store. They also strongly believe that a woman can figure out how to put up her own bookshelves and sent me off with perfectly understandable instructions. This review is long overdue - since I am a regular customer for over ten years!

I bought a small Japanese kitchen knife from here, for about $7 and it is the sharpest knife I own. Not all of them had a perfectly assembled handle, but I found one that was good enough, the blade alone is great for the price. If you are in the market for a good, inexpensive, SHARP kitchen knife, look here first. It cuts through anything beautifully with zero effort.

Best hardware store in town. Friendly and super helpful staff.Their customer service is on a par with Strongroom in that they will understand if you have a problem with a purchase not being quite right and need to return it.I love this store being in my neighborhood!
