Not sure what role Diseree has at Irvine Subaru but she comes across as a straight shooter. I called ahead of time to inquiry about a vehicle they had posted on their website. She let me know own they were out filling up the tank. When the vehicle arrived after about a 15 minute wait, it was not the vehicle pictured on their website. The salesman asked if I wanted to test drive it but I told him it was the wrong vehicle. I told him it wasnt the vehicle pictured. He smirked and said that the vehicle on the website was the wrong vehicle and that I was one of several potential customers to call and/or stop by about it. At this point, I was disappointed and annoyed by his response but more so because they knew of the disconnect and hadnt corrected the issue. I let him know I wasnt interested in test driving the vehicle and started to walk away. As i started to walk away, the salesman asked if I would let Desiree know that it wasnt his service that caused me to leave. I thought for second and figured Id take the opportunity to provide feedback to her. The salesman even mentioned that she would be the one who could give me a deal on another vehicle. We walked into her office and explained the situation. She seemed surprised and asked me to show her the vehicle on their website. At this point, the salesman told her this was a known issue and she blamed Subaru HQ for the mix-up. In researching the vehicle, I looked around at many Subaru dealers and didnt see any misleading pictures. So I let them know that I would be leaving and going to South Coast Subaru because they had the vehicle I was interested in. I had merely stopped by Irvine Subaru because of the advertisement of the vehicle on their site. Desiree responded by saying, "Oh be careful with those guys". Rather than apologize or try to correct the issue, she felt the need to slander another dealership. Like I said, shes direct and seems like a straight shooter. No tact though. Disappointed in the service received. I was hoping for a better experience. I went there ready to make a purchase, as I was already pre-approved. If they would have shown concern for the website mistake and/or offered to help me find the vehicle I was looking for, I would have stayed but I was very underwhelmed by this dealership.

*** Updated on 4/22/17 and pictures below *** Service center told me my car was repaired but it was not. Repeatedly, I returned my car for the same issue, was told my car was repaired, but the issue was still occurring. Eventually, I was told that there was an issue with the steering box (a tooth had skipped) and that it needed to be adjusted. During my follow-up visit for the adjustment, instead of Irvine Subaru adjusting the steering box, I was told I need to purchase four new tires. I did not purchase their tires and took my car Renick Subaru instead to adjust the steering box. Renick Subaru looked at my car, confirmed my tires were not causing the issue and said the steering box cannot be adjusted. I was billed $159 for their diagnosis. I contacted the Service Manager, Sebastian, at Irvine Subaru about reimbursing me the $159 diagnosis fee from Renick Subaru because Irvine Subarus incorrect repair suggestion is not something that can be done. Based on Sebastians verbal response and the lack of follow-up to any of my emails sent to him, I do not expect to be reimbursed (my perception that I will not be reimbursed does not effect my rating). *** Update *** Attached are pictures of damaged and, to show a comparison, non-damaged suspension parts. The mounting holes on the damaged strut and steering knuckle were elongated (looks like a drill was used) thus damaging both parts so they now have to be replaced. These parts are from the area of my car that Irvine Subaru worked on and Irvine Subaru was the last shop to troubleshoot these parts. I spoke with the Service Manager, Sebastian, at Irvine Subaru and was told that I will have to pay them to replace the parts. I attempted to speak with the General Manager, Sergio, at Irvine Subaru but my call was forwarded to a voicemail box that is too full to accept new messages.

BUYER BEWARE, Irvine Subaru completely screwed me over. Because the new WRXs are hard to find, I put a $3000 deposit down on one and was planning on flying out to the dealership from Colorado (where I live) the next week. After putting the $3k down I was told it was being held for me and the dealer sent me photos of the car with a SOLD sign on it. 12 hours before I was supposed to fly out, Irvine Subaru called me saying they "accidentally" sold my car that I had already essentially paid for. They werent willing to accommodate me at all, offer to give me a deal on another vehicle and I didnt get any sort of apology from management. On top of all this, my daily driver was totaled the night before by a drunk driver running a red light so I had no car. Luckily at the last minute I found another dealership that was willing to give me a huge discount on a new WRX because they felt so bad at the terrible service Irvine Subaru gave me. I will say that the sales-rep I was working with at Irvine was great and was helping me throughout every step of the way, but the management is just terrible and shady. Turns out after doing some digging, a lot of people have had similar bad experiences here. I know a lot of Subaru enthusiasts in So Cal and have warned them, my friends and have posted on NASIOC warning them of the horrible experience I had with Irvine Subaru. STAY AWAY.

I wish I could say I had a better experience here. Maybe its because Im not a frequenter or bought my car from this dealership, or maybe its because Im covered under warranty. They finished service for the girl in back of me first, personally walked her out with small talk whatnot obviously been to this dealership before, while I was interrupted while asking questions and had to ask Sebastian to repeat himself a few times since he was talking so fast; A busy day is understandable, there was only one other person there at 1pm on a Monday.. it was obvious he just wanted to shoo me off. Little did they know I was also going to also buy touch up paint, order a car bra and kayak adapter for my rack. Definitely bringing my sale elsewhere. My boyfriend also had a poor experience and almost didnt get the 2014 SWP WRX hes been wanting and saving forever because they had "reserved" one that had already been reserved and didnt notify him for weeks of this mistake because we could not get ahold of the associate by email or phone (forgot his name). Apparently he had a baby in which he should have told another associate to follow up on the sale. Thank goodness Costa Mesa Subaru had just gotten a shipment in or he would have had to wait yet another month because of this mistake. Sorry for writing a bad review but you guys need to step up your game.

LIARS, CHEAP NON-SUBARU PARTS, OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP SERVICING WITHOUT TELLING. This was by far the worst dealership Ive ever been to, Craigslist would have been a more reliable source. They put 4 old used valve stems on all 4 of the brand new tires they installed when I bought the car. Sebastian is extremely rude and unhelpful, charging me over $200 for fixing their mess up. Rusty, the MANAGER for used sales just transfered my call as I was talking to him explaining my story after 5 times trying to get ahold of anyone. They tried selling me tires that were past the red zone, a sound system in the car that didnt even work (it was locked up) having to replace the whole thing. THIS CAR WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CERTIFIED FROM THE DEALERSHIP. IT HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE OF A CAR. They shipped my car out to Santa Ana to get fixed and didnt tell me. I had to drive up 5 times for the same problem. They rip you off on used cars. They do dodgy work, it took another certified dealership to tell me my tires were in danger and the people who put the tires on didnt use new gear and charged me to fix it. This dealership owner needs to know how terrible their employees are. Only buy from them if you want crapy parts, bad service, and lies about how great the car is.
