Toyota Irvine did a great job getting me the car I wanted. I had very specific demands so it was great to have them be so accommodating. They recognized that I knew exactly what I wanted and did not try to push or otherwise convince me that I wanted something more convenient for them. They also were willing to match an offer from another dealer. The financing process - once it started - was also very smooth and the financing guy was also very friendly and accommodating and willing to work with me and explained all of the service agreement options in great detail. Couple areas of improvement if possible: 1) as a whole, Toyota needs to overhaul their technology. Ditch their WWII style printers and computers and move into the current age. Some of this may not be immediately feasible. A lot of the paperwork is still printed on carbon paper, probably for good, if out-dated, reason, and I doubt Toyota is alone in this. But it seems insane to me that in this age of computerization all of the transaction cant be handled without paper. Some of the paperwork was even signed with an electronic pad, so youd think it would be possible. And computerized the process would make things so much faster. I bet you could even have the customer do a lot of the process from the comfort of their homes, which kind of brings me to 2) the process was lengthy, as car-buying often is. Im not necessarily complaining about the periods of time I was completing paperwork or test-driving - I realize there is a process. However, I was left sitting waiting for much longer than promised (told five minutes, must have been more like an hour). Of course at this point I had already signed a paper promising to buy my vehicle so perhaps it wasnt worth it to be particularly efficient with me once I had done so - there are other customers to hook into buying. And this particular facility did have someone chat and keep me company which was unusual and great and he kept checking in to keep the process moving. But that is also time I could hypothetically have been entering information into a computer system on my own to then make the financing stage much quicker. Again, I believe both of these things are simply typical of car shopping as a whole and are not specific to this facility. But it is something Toyota as a company may want to start thinking about improving now that technology is on their side. Finally 3) (and this may have more to do with my specific car demands than anything else) this facility had some trouble communicating during the pre-car buying process. The initial phone conversation went great, and I received one quick call-back to confirm that they could acquire the vehicle, but then they were going to call back or email to confirm the selling price and I didnt hear anything back for hours. So I stopped by in-person (which I dont think I should have had to do) to sort out the selling price, but by then it was too late to get the car from the distribution center so I had to return the next day. And because this facility was 90 minutes from my home, I had to commute a total of six hours to get my car. Again some of this may have been because of my demands and its certainly not their fault I live 90 minutes away. Despite my nitpicking, my salesmen (Joey and Eric) and my financing organizer (Nima) did a fabulous job and made the process certainly more painless than it could have been and has been in the past, and I would come again!

If you like being yelled at by sales managers, wrongfully informed about special offers to get you in the door, & made to feel like a lying selfish person then this is the place for you!! I went in yesterday after several emails between an internet sales person I was happy with the price I received & took my whole family in to purchase our new car. So we get there & they bring out the car that you wanted take you on a test drive & then BAM!! Oh by the way the special we told you about isnt for the model you want its only available on the smaller model... Well ok then.. So we asked what anyone would ask after being told Ops we made a booboo & now we expect you to pay thousands more then what we originally told you... How about you give us a little bit more off or give us some accessories to makeup the difference? After being told no once we asked again & apparently this is when we pissed off the sales manager.. This is when he comes over & starts yelling at us tell me were not making any money of this sale, this price is already below market value, you cant get this price any where else, blah blah blah.. As I tried to explain our situation.. The sales manager just kept talking over me wouldnt allow me to get 1 word in.. I finally had to yell back at him & remind him that "HEY IM THE CUSTOMER HERE!! Let me speak!!!" After explaining what happened he said people are human we make mistakes.. Ok I get that Im human & Ive made plenty of mistakes in my life, but you think you give me a break since I was the one that was lied to & had just spent 3 hrs being yelled at & dicked around, but no.. Instead he told me that I should buy the smaller one that has the 60 mon 0% APR special.. No thanks.. We have a family & needed to have a bigger car... & then he goes to tell us we should do the 0% at 36 mon APR... Hmmm Im not sure how many families can afford to just dble their car payment budget just because a sales manager thinks his commission is more important then your welfare.. At this point yes Im pretty frustrated.. The sales manager tells me that I shouldnt be mad & that he wont sell me the car if Im angry, & that they take reviews & customer surveys seriously & that I should be happy were getting a new car.. Wow geez thanks, but no thanks.. Heres the thing at the end of the day were going to buy the car regardless of 0% APR or 2.5% APR you need the car you need the car. & honestly if they had just been a little nicer we probably wouldve bought it anyways, but you know what every dealership I requested quotes from said that they would either beat or match whatever price Im given so its really no loss for me. Just a waste of my time & my sanity.. My family has purchased probably 4 cars from this location & I have been pleased with every previous purchase hence why we went back here 1st to buy, but I guess that rude sales manager thinks we were expendable.. Oh well whos lost is it really??

There’s a reason this place has a D+ rating from BBB. I don’t want to be completely negative, so I will say that my salesperson Mr. Khan was fantastic. Unfortunately, everything since I finished with Mr. Khan has been a nightmare. Ive literally spent many hours of my life dealing with this title issue, and from what I see on yelp others have had this same problem with after service at this dealership. Issues: Finance guys - These guys used every technique in the evil salesperson handbook. What takes the cake? They lied to me about the service intervals of the prepaid maintenance they forced me to purchase so they would finally let me leave. Car delivery issues - 1) They ‘lost’ the key to the exact car I wanted, my second choice hadnt been through some check or something, finally I just took the car they chose which was the same model but a different color. 2) Predelivery checklist was not filled out. 3) Mileage on the vehicle was higher than was stated on the contracts I had just signed. It was late and I just left, big mistake. Big Big Major Title Issue - It’s been almost 5 months now and I still have not received my license plates or title. Worse, the car was put in someone else’s name! My credit Union is about to raise my interest rate because I have not given them the title yet. I’ve called over 50x, gone in person 3x, and emailed corporate customer support. Each time someone promises to take care of it and never does. Apparently they put what was supposed be my brand new car in someone elses name!!! People I’ve dealt with: A Salesperson named mac or something - made me feel like he was doing me a big favor by even taking my name and number. Alan Domingo - Fedexd me New DMV docs, finally I thought this was going to be resolved, I sent them back and have not heard from him since. Kevin Sanchez - He was the first person I made contact with the first time I went in, he promised me he would fix it. When I went in the 3rd time he had me sign a form that said it was a used car I had purchased, not a new car!! Kimberly from corporate - Contacted the dealer, had someone contact me the same day, but no one has. On top of these tons of voicemails to all their managers, none of which have been returned. I have been more than patient with this dealership, my hope is that you will go somewhere else and not deal with the BS im dealing with now.
