Today I took my 3 yr old terrier to the groomer. He is a rescue dog and only had one other experience with a groomer. I made the first appointmennt of the day thinking less stimulation to perhaps lessen his anticipated anxiety I was told, since he was first in the day, often they are done in an hour to hour and half. The groomers were definitely kind and seemingly knowledgeable. However. three hours later I went in to see how he was doing. There were, that I could see, 7 dogs in progress with 2 groomers. i was told my dog was afraid of the drier so was in a cage drying as he seemed to become aggressive with the noise. This was almost 3 hours after i brought him in.. An updated anticipated finish, due to "a lady bringing her dog in and paying extra to get him done quickly", could not even be projected for greater than 2 additional hours. With the comment about aggressiveness, and that it sounded like he had just been bathed, it seemed best to just take him home. The prepared $60 invoice was reduced $15. without requesting such. While paying, I presented their coupon for 25% off for first time grooming visits. They denied it as I didnt have a whole grooming. I too had received their coupon for $8 off for grooming on a week day. They too denied that. I paid the $45 going back to the grooming area to pick up my dog, I found they had actually started grooming him so he had long hair in places with being shaved in others. Incredible they didnt mention that. Through this I didnt make comments and remained polite. Their conduct is for you to judge and chose to utilize their business.

Im sorry, but i must say that some of the people that work there are not the friendliest. In fact, some are just plain rude. To give an example, I once called in asking for a specific brand of pet food, the girl that answered straight out said we dont have it in the specific flavor i was looking for.. without even looking! then i asked her what flavor do you have instead.. she huff and puffed and had me wait for at least 5 minutes on the line before i just hung up.. i called right back, differend girl answers, i asked the same thing, she says.. oh yes, we do have it! im like, are you sure? she said yes, im sure. I asked her how many do you have left over? she said oh, plenty! wtf? the first girl lied cause she was too lazy to go look. when i do go into the store.. i dont know if it its the owner or not, but this white girl, with long blond hair, shes always there, so im assuming its the owner.. anyway, she always has a sourpuss look on her face and never greets.. seems to be bother by even being there.. some of the guys seem to be the most courteous and willing to help. I honestly kind of hate this place, but im stuck shopping there because the brand of food i buy there is not carried by any other store around.. and my cats have to eat lol... Im hoping Petco will carry this brand soon :/ at least they already carry Natures Variety raw.. which is amazing and has saved me the trip to this awful store many times.

The Vet at Katies Pet Depot goes above and beyond for our dog. We buy a case of prescription food about every six weeks and they always make sure to have a case on hand even though we are the only customer who buys that food. One more thing. They found out our food was on back order indefinitely. They called us about three weeks before we usually buy the case and let us know. This gave us enough time to contact our vet and come up with an alternative food. I highly recommend Katies for all pet needs.

This is a GREAT place to take your pet. They took very good care of my two babies (dogs). I have been to other vet clinics and did not get the same great service as i got here. Tica and Tori are WONDERFUL and know what they are doing. They treat your pet like they are very special. The Vet was great too, she took the time to answer all my questions and made sure both my dogs were very happy! I love this place will not take my babies anywhere else. Thanks Pet Depot!!

I really was surprised with how helpful the employees were. Though they did not have the exact product I was looking for, they recommended an equal product that was actually better than the one I originally wanted. I also love that they have a vet clinic inside, because so often its like a rat race going between the vets and the pet store. I just wish that the customer service was a little better.

A great place where we get our dog food. Not all pet stores sell Call of the Wild for our Shiba Inus so when we found out that Katies does it was our new favorite place! They also have a great selection of collars and leashes along with all the other pet supplies you might need. The employees are knowledgeable on what they carry. And if they dont carry it, you can ask them to order it for you!

If you have dogs this is definately the store for you! I got my dog a chew toy from here and he loves it, its actually lasted for a while even though the toy is mangled from Poochy chewing on it all day. You might pass it by because its hard to see but its right next to the el pollo loco in laverne on foothill. If your dog needs a durable plastic toy look no further.

Ive been to this spot a couple of times. I use to like taking my cat get groom there. After they hired a new groomer to replace the older groomer I STOP going. The new groomer told me herself she does NOT like to groom cats. Never again will I take my cat there. Why would they say that to a customer!!!!!!! Very unprofessional!

Good helpful staff. Wide variety of pet products for a small store, unlike petco or petsmart which have large quantities of products but not much variety. They have a groomers where if you want you can bath your own pet for about $10 which I thought was a cool oddity. Overall a very nice place.

Waited 3 hours, was told it would be 45 more minutes till they would get to her..i said no thank, coming to pick my dog up in 10min. Was charged 40 dollars and said she was done.. My dog was never even showered. Had to retake her another groomer..this place was a rip off

Friendly staff and having a very and groomer on site is convenient. Groomer andher assistant (grand son?) were excellent. My dog even went in voluntarily the second time which shows she was comfortable there. Thank you!

Since store moved this summer, larger square footage with less selection. I am pro raw food for pets. Their selections have dwindled. High priced too, for less selection. Not sure I will go back.

Katies is awesome. I love getting great service from a small, local business. We even take our kitties to the vet here. They carrry many things you will not find at the Big Box stores.
