i give it 3 stars for a couple of reasons... a lot of stores are closing down idk whats happening but its really sad to see some long time stores there just up and leave. i mean they got rid of Hot Toys omg right!!! this mall needs more security guards your car will be broken into...personally it hasnt happen to me * knock on wood but i do see some shattered glass everywhere where the cars used to be at keep your things tucked away and hidden not even the trunk of your car is safe anymore. Now on to the good parts for one I really like how theyre remodeling the mall it looks pretty good theyre also opening up a Century 25 there all luxury I cant wait for that to open in 2018. the ppl experience isnt at all bad im fact it has improved. You still get a few trashy people down over there acting loud and obnoxious. well thats it i hope it helps

This is an old mall that needs a lot of work, but recently had been undergoing lots of work and upgrades. This mall has lots of similar stores and could use a little more diversity in that department. Kohls has left and so starts with the construction of a new Dicks Sporting Goods, plus theyre getting ready to build a movie theatre on the other side. It has improved incrementally over the last couple years and I think that it will continue to improve. There is an arcade downstairs next to the foods court that is not that great. There is ample parking and they have electric car charging stations next to entrance 4.

I like this mall, I come here all the time. My only complaint and reason for not giving a five star review, is because of the heavy construction. The escalator and elevator to the food court are out of service, in order to get down there you have to take the stairs and there is no sign. I had to ask someone how to get down there. My other issue is a lot of the mall is under construction and it is REALLY dark. I felt like if there was no one around the mall would be closed. Other than that, there is a wide selection of stores and it is always busy here.

Death of the shopping malls is evident here at Southland. Half the stores are closed. Most stores that are still here have empty shelves or smaller inventory, even Macys and especially Sears. Still have some great restaurants on the outskirts. They have a medical lab here. (Hmm, weird) And, I think the owners are thinking of building a movie theatre, which would be a big mistake since ticket sells have been slipping for many years now. Southland reminds me of Fashion Island of long ago. Big pro is that there are lots of discounted items and bargains here.

Just leaving. While sitting at the food court, half way through my meal, I noticed a bug crawling across the gourmet Chinese food counter. I got up, went to look, it was a cockroach. There was another above the beans at the burrito place. I pointed them out and the man working the burrito counter quickly grabbed a napkin and squished it, then went back to serving. I reported it at mall health and safety, but she wasnt sure if they would do anything about it and suggested I report it to the city. Done.

This is a case where its a shame that "NO STARS" isnt an option. There are safer malls; this place and its businesses isnt at all concerned with the well being of their clientele. What useful items they might offer are overpriced and hard to find. The staff seems more concerned with their phones than the concerns of their clientele. If you can avoid a wreck in the parking lot youll be hard pressed to find a parking spot. This place would be better off bulldozed and redeveloped as a community garden.

Famous Daves....Famous Daves! The best bbq.....this restaurant is the best in the chain and the credut goes to Michael the Manager. This manager always has the facility immaculate. The staff including Derecia was helpful, informative about the menu and worked together as a team, this is rarely seen in restaurants. The kitchen put out the BEST tasting ribs and chicken I have ever enjoyed at Daves. Be sure to visit and tell Michael thank you for his dedication to make this place a success.

For a mall its very run down. A lot of store spaces are empty too. Its got a few nice stores, a few really cool specialty stores, but its in really bad condition compared to other malls. The security are really mean too. Ive been kicked out for running down the main hall to catch up with someone. I only really go for PlayLive now since bayfair is much nicer. Also I know its temporary but the escalator has been closed for service about five months now, and the stairs are not easy to find.

Mall has everything a mall should have. Stores... Either way the place might probably not be the safest to shop but its still a decent place. I remember going to this mall when i was a smaller boy. Its still not a bad place to hang out or walk around in. Mall is not the fanciest but it has pleasant stores. The mall has a lot of parking lot and sometimes they have a cool fair outside.

HomeTown Buffet at Southland Mall and I really love their food their selection the people that work there are very courteous and polite internets rare to have an all-you-can-eat restaurant these days specially with decent food we need these places to stay open otherwise in the area we live in there will be no American food all you can eat and thats something that I believe is a must

A Mall with everything Relevant for todays fashion. People say its not safe? l have witnessed auto thefts, parking lot fights at Stoneridge Mall, however, never at Southland. l suspect the fear of Southland is a fear of Whitefolks feeling Xenophobic at the varieties in the Phenotype of the shoppers. This Whiteboy will continue to shop at the Best Mall in the Bay!!

This place is starting to get better but still needs better stores. Cant really say much but this mall is small and filled with bunch slackers. Basically people unwilling to help you when you need it. Anyway, other than that this mall is seeing necessary upgrades and sprucing up. About time if you ask me, almost looked like death valley at one point.

Most of the stores are closed down over here. I was able to take one picture before security stopped me citing private property laws. The mall is in disarray and dying. If you want teenagers to visit your location in this social media age, you have to allow pictures and encourage it. Upgrade your policies or go out of business.

Its alright, kinda outdated, even the stores are outdated. A lot of the stores in there I have never heard of. Theres a lot of shoe stores, and jewelry stores! Theres only two bathrooms in this mall for the public and they are on complete opposite ends. Theres also A LOT of theft here too!! Not a mall that I would want to shop at!
